Swen Sterckx I assume you're referring to the white wall inserts he used? Those inserts are designe to run on the wheel without causing interference man. The manufacturer knows what they are building and the dangers associated with something like their insert. the pressure on the wheel from the tire is so immense that once its inflated you couldn't pull it out if you tried. Also considering the fact that hes running spoked wheels that means hes running an innertube which means the tube would increase the density/amount of material that would be putting pressure against the rim pinning the insert in that much more. You should try them. They look amazing and are a very cost effective way to achieve the white wall look. It won't even cause the wheel to be out of balance.
I love to watch things like this it takes me right back to the 70s when I was a kid and thought nothing of stripping down my bike engine in a morning in cold rainy old London...nice job...like the ride.
I like how you kept the rear shocks and didn't just hardtail the back. Damn pot holes and bumps in Europe are enough to shatter your balls riding hardtail lol. Awesome work man.
I cryed when you painted the tank lol :( Love the bike im been building a xv250 over on my channel, just did a solo seat on it, you got yourself a new subscriber
Nice easy cheap work. People complaining about painting and stuff. It’s a bobber not a show bike. I have 3 project bikes right now. A Suzuki intruder 1500 and two 650 savages. Can’t wait to start. Gonna be fun projects. Do what you can at your price and skill level and enjoy the ride! 🤙🏻
RC maniac Nice idea. But you will be spending loads of time & money on a bike you won't be able to sell on at a decent price later. I'd say spend some cash getting your full license, and break into projects on full size bikes, where you can recuperate your expenses by selling your completed bike.
an inspiration for many aspiring dyi’s indeed. ive always loved the rebel spirit of the muscle bike class. totally Americano. just pure independence freedom of expression and an unbridled passion to accomplish something in your own garage. thats one small step for your bike, one big step for your life ahead. dont stop the dream and never settle. always do your best and always try to do better than before. what you did was the work of pure heart and skills. its art. i dont care what anyone says about how they would do it differently, thats fine and all but to each his own. he did it the way he wanted it. and now hes a bad ass.
Thank you, I will be doing bobber conversion to either Yamaha VX1100 or Honda VTX1800C, they are amazing machines, sounding awesome and far, far more reliable than Harley engines. Good on you bro! :-)
It says "this video is unavailable on this device" I tried watching it on my computer and smartphone but it keeps saying that. I loved this video, it gives me motivation to work on my bike but I can't watch it anymore
great jobs! I like the way that you rebuild your bike, I'm interested with the solo seat kit that fixed to, if you don't mind could you tell where can get that? and what inch of the spring that use for the seat?
www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Fire-Type-Solo-Driver-Seat-Base-Spring-Bracket-For-Harley-Bobber-Chopper-/182568223216?hash=item2a81ea01f0:g:PAMAAOSwax5YvPuA&vxp=mtr The springs that followed was verhy high, so i found someone from an old bike.
i'm glad u keepin the two back suspension ! every bobber addict put a type of bar at this place but i think its shit to drive a bike like that, it's better to have the 2 suspension and its more beautiful too ;)
Dude.... take the front wheel out and paint the front forks... now you have more time spent to tape it off/maks it.... And the risk that you have missed some spots... front wheel out is 1 minute
I know. I was just 16 years old at the time and didn`t knew so much. I`ve have never done anything like this. This was my first project. There`s are a lot of things i would change and do better if i had a project today :) Cause now i have more experience :)
Robin Håkenrud Edvardsen For the future, i want to give you one tip. Dont lower the back without getting the swingarm pivoting from a new place, keeping the swingarm angle correct (between wheel nut and seingarm pivot) (usually this is such a huge job youre better of just building your own frame from scratch tbh). On a 125 it might go unnoticed, but when you get to more powerful bikes you will notice that this change will completely collapse the rear suspension during acceleration and it will lead to loss of grip as a result. From factory you usually want to raise the rear of a bike a little to get optimal swing arm angles and trail on the front. This compromise for looks/ease to flatfoot the bike is a very common thing people do when getting into biking, just wanted to point it out to you so you know for future projects 👊 Awesome build otherwise, i couldnt have pulled that off when i was 16. Well done!
@boss man I have an Aprilia Mana 850 the belt on this bike is $211 $200 for service this bike is really sucking my wallet dry. I want to tell you all the other things I paid for that cost me a arm and a leg but it brings me so much joy and happiness
First of all you are a piece of shit. That bike is a friggin classic yamaha 250 bitchhh. It was one of the coolest cruiser bike when it was launched back . My dad bought it when i finished my highschool for me to go to college. I fixed its handle and drilled a hole on its both exhaust. Students at college use to give me side eyes, front eyes, back eyes lol. That bike is the reason i got laid during my college days.
Really nice bike dude! The rear suspension, do you adapted the existing one or bought news ones? with the slowers lenght. If are new ones, could you share the specifications? I really like, congrats!
Sorry this one is a 125cc. 250cc big bore kit is illegal without the proper papers and new registration wich you need to apply for with still a low chance if approval in order to make it road legal. That is why it’s so uncommon.
Did you find youre license from a cerial pack or something? Every kid would be riding a 600 or 1000s if the A1-license would allow this. Gains for the brains.
@@user-ls9nc2ml7t its going to be up on @rewheeled since its my dad and he is going to help me because he is experienced in this area :) its probably going to be up in 2 months since im going to buy it next week :)
Link to the white tire wall in description!
Nordic Rider thanks bro ride safe
Nordic Rider is it normal spray paint or car paint?
They are dangerous as fuck ! Tire can jump of the wheel
må man søke til bt for å bygge om til bobber?

man i love that you did this . it gives me the confidence to try it myself sick
Fantastic build. Super simple and it looks great! I've never seen anyone slap whitewalls on tires before.
Sehr schöner Umbau 👌👏😊
A 125cc bobber. Great for anyone with an A1 license
Very true. İts good for new bobber lovers and new drivers.
@@semihcangulterler6202 yeah indeed. I am planning on getting one. Honda shadow or this one. Probably modify it to a bobber as well
I've never seen a 125cc V twin before.
@@geeleon7643 i didnt know it was a thing until this bike
It turned out way cooler even though it's only 125. Greetings from Finland!

looks great mate,nice job
I cryed when you painted the tank lol :( Love the bike im been building a xv250 over on my channel, just did a solo seat on it, you got yourself a new subscriber
Nice job, I like the fact that the frame does not have to be cut, and you get to keep the original rear shocks.
I’m so jealous now because my dream to own old bike because I just love old school you are amazing man
what a transformation...awesome job..i have a virago myself..inspiration
Nice bike. Personally would have left the white on the tank though
Andrew Knutson yeah I wouldn't have painted it black at all the blue with the hints of black everywhere looked good
victor trout yup
Cringe when he just put black spraypaint over nice looking factory paint instead of giving it a professional paint job
Yea that blue looked amazing. Still looks really nice black though. Dope shit
Have those chrome spoke wheels powder coated red and trick out tank w/ some pinstripes would look nice also!

That is bad ass, and to have a video of your full build motivates me.
very nice looks amazing me myself i think i will do same kinda look but on yamaha xvs dragstar 125
RC maniac Nice idea. But you will be spending loads of time & money on a bike you won't be able to sell on at a decent price later.

Ficou incrível !!!
Parabéns meu amigo !
🇧🇷
Very inspiring build and video. Been thinking of doing something like this to one of my yamahas for a while now and this just confirmed it.
the best ever seen for a 125 virago, damned bud, congretulations from france.
nice video well done !👍
:)
so did you ever end up lowering the suspension to get that stance? Or is it just an optical illusion.
AMAZING ! Good job my friend ! 🇫🇷
Congratulations, great job in garage!!! Nice bike.
Badass. What was your cost spend on this build
Awesome fuckin build dude! The struggle of living in Norway and not beind able to ride for half the year haha. Plenty time for builds at least :D
True!

Ayrtonium Thanks. hehe no problem 😁
That's about how cool a Virago ever get. Well done, Sir!
You have just inspired a lot of people by your hard work
Awesome job! What were you using to paint the engine? Must be high temperature resilient....
I dont know what it is called in English, but here in Norway we call it heat lacquer

Dude after watching this you got me pumped about doing my cx500 thanks for the inspiration to keep at it
Dude I just picked up an 81 deluxe cx had to replace broken timing chain guid you should check yours too j guess it's pretty common
it is better to disassemble and paint separately in powder paint
and also not paint mating surfaces with a double coat
Я придерживаюсь такого же мнения!!! (I hold the same opinion)
Excellent !! une pure merveille je suis jaloux :D
Parabéns pelo trabalho na moto. Ficou muito bonita..
