This map is so cool. The new mechanic for blasting open walls. Villain lines on the radio (a sorely needed insight into your enemies). An environment that's a mix of medieval city and cyberpunk (as if you're running through a far-future Mordheim). It's just a great time.

this mission is insane!!! the difficulty is by far the hardest ive seen, ive played it on lvl 4 no mods, and it felt like damnation with mods, they def have some hidden modifiers but i like it
I would say it has more to do with the level design than the actual number of enemies. take the coloseum for example. this is the only area as far as I know that gives snipers decent line of sight at that range and attack angles. this also isn't taking into account gunners who can suppress you in a similar fashion. inconvenient spawn locations will always make for more difficulty. take water treatment plan which is the opposite. once you get to the end, over half the enemies will get funneled down to 1 or 2 directions making your life much easier so long as you hold those areas. the constricted map design does make bombers harder to deal with but in general it's a lot easier than the big open spaces on mercantile
They also just increased difficulty and reduced damage to enemies overalll last patch
yah ive been hearing that, its a good thing, i member when the game came out it was just too easy now its a real challenge in the higher difficulties and mods@@dionysusdelight1440
I love how the npc just stand around if u invis in solo. It feels like slowing down time in cyberpunk.
Must be terrifying for the Moebian 6th to be fighting a SINGLE borderline undying woman of faith just going invisible every so often taking out their best men as she dodges and weaves thru their ranks, cleaving thru their turf with nothing but a knife and revolver.
I love your videos because I try so hard to move/decision make like you as a psyker. I think your zealot build is the fastest out of all of your other builds. Legend!
Your vids are the things I think about when I end up in a potential solo clutch scenario, I use what I see you do as inspiration (and tips & tricks). Problem is that I mess it up sometimes, but it is very fun to try to save the game, especially when you succeed or almost do.
However the feeling I have many times is: "Darn.., I used the wrong build, I do not have my "get out of jail 4 free" cards."
Best Zealot in the world hands down, I've watched shit tons of your videos now, inspired me to change from Ogryn main to Zealot, what you do with the class is pure magic.

As a vet main, this new patch has been a mixed blessing. Love the new map, but I wish Fatshark had left vet alone
honestly, the keystones made vet wayyy better compared to last patch imo, I will say the middle keystone is probably the best out of the 3 and there definitely gonna be some number changes in the future. Especially the left one.

I got blown off the top level where the switch is by a poxburster in the last area where you extract, and ended up on the ground floor in one of the alcoves where enemies spawn. You can close the large gates to stop enemies.
not necessary when you can kite like a demon squirrel.( and you are solo)
Man I've tried like 10 runs with randoms and I have yet to win on damnation. The trick I think with this mission is to just move fast. Cause otherwise there are tons of long open rooms where shooters will accumulate and shred you.
For whatever reason randoms like to murder every single poxwalker before moving on and it makes us fight so many extra hoards.
I always get wiped out at the ampitheatre. I noticed my only win came from closing both of the gates. And hanging out by the entrance (where you first enter the theatre). Psyker with shield is also essential considering the gunner spam.
There's a yes and no to this.
Yes, you shouldn't be greedily picking a fight with every enemy that falls in your sight-line, in particular ranged enemies that have caught onto your presence before you've found equal grounds to engage. Most pub members I've run alongside will try to beeline through gunfire, retreat into exposed corners when overrun, or (the cardinal sin,) trade blows with bruisers, ragers, and maulers without dodging or even repositioning as needed. Darktide and Vermintide both require you to think of the map layout and potential kill-zones you'll get pushed into, but Darktide hits that harder with the significant increase in ranged units.
No, you shouldn't be rushing for the end of the map. It may not seem obvious but like Vermintide, hordes, monsters, patrols, and specialist squads spawn when location triggers have been hit. If you haven't fought off the previous wave of threats before sprinting into the next one, you're liable to get sandwiched, starved (for ammo/supplies), and forced into terrain that works against you. My assumption is from 15:00-19:40, chocoB didn't push forward until the mobs were thinned out sufficiently enough because the open field has more options for running around (even with a Daemonhost smack dab in the middle of it). With the enemy volume at that point, you have to assume you'll be forced to give up ground constantly, and that's harder to do in the underground cellars afterward.
The trick with this mission is to hash out in advance where (and where not) to fight. As you said, there are tons of long open areas with poor cover, places that are unideal for engaging on the enemy's terms, places you are better off drawing aggro from and then pulling back to narrow tight corners or zones with good cover so that you can get to them before getting shot too much. It's a newly released map, so figuring that out might take a bit of familiarity first, but once you have that down, it's not too different from any other map with the same issue.
@@reddeviledeggs1001you dont need to close the gates. Just camp the entrance of the ampitheatre, you can funnel the heretics into a single chokepoint and it makes it a walk in the park, even on damnnation

It's not about moving fast. It's called pacing. Notice he chooses to go fast in certain spots for positional advantage and sometimes he gives ground and goes all the way back for better position. If what you got from this is 'just move fast' you need to watch it again.

Really like this map. Is that a new track for the first room, between the two breach charges? Anyone know what it's called? I don't think it's part of the official sountrack, even though it was supposedly updated/released yesterday (Spotify album seems to still be the 2022 release version)
Its an unreleased track that they used in the archivum sychorax alarm section, people are calling it rejects rise or something like that. Should be on youtube

Hotfix finally corrected hand cannon's blessing being applied to your melee crits, the revolver is still an amazing weapon, but at least it's not giving you free damage

Your build looks good, but wouldn’t mercy killer and uncanny strike be better for your knife since it already applies bleed damage from your skills?
Mainly for Combat Ability turnover and boss DPS. The synergy of Bleeding and Critical can increase the critical hit turnover and ensure that Shroudfield can be used more often. Plus, the bleeding damage is effective enough for light spam, so it's less of a burden on AIM. I think your configuration is also common.

Zealot literally has a talent that makes you ignore flinches called "Thy Wrath be Swift"
@@Batatero1 that's for melee attacks though. hoonter was talking about ranged attacks.
@@OhLookItsTekonayou probably found out by now, but it also works for ranged flinch/stagger.
@@ArcaneEye I know it removes flinch and stagger as a whole. I was saying that having toughness should already make you ignore ranged fire flinch by default, which is what hoonter was talking about.

I have a custom dagger crit/dodge based build on my 800+hr Zealot. We should run duos on something hard af and see if we can manage it. I survive some truly crazy situations.

@@GMODNOOB99 So, a coomon cause of wipes for me has been a stealth zealot/vet running into a room, pulling like 6 ogryns and 20 ragers and then going invis and those fuckers charging at the team while theyre busy fighting a horde etc. if youre 2 vets a psyker and a stealth zealot, you kind of need the zealot to take over frontline duties. If zealot just goes invis for 6 secs, the mobs will aggro onto the backline. I think stealth abilities are cool for solo play, not with a team, impact is too low if youre running 4 man auric damn, and your zealot has shroud instead of the middle one, which gives toughness, ccs enemies and boosts dmg/reduces toughness dmg or just the charge + guaranteed crit for repositioning/giving your teammates toughness.
