NEW VIDEOS COMING SOON! - Игры
Hey Everyone, I have slightly optimised this build based on the feedback in the comments!
I have dropped Furious and Crunch and put on Pulverise and too Stubborn to die (But this could also be changed for a +10 Toughness recovery boost).
Checkout the updated Games Lantern build link here: darktide.gameslantern.com/builds/9a9ee70d-6c7a-4303-8c30-f4c6ba6e61c8/briggsos-unstoppable-ogryn-build?
Also, I didn't mention that you can run the MK3 Cleaver with the Confident Strikes (+5-8% toughness on a chained hit) blessing, instead of Momentum. I still prefer Momentum personally, as you regain more toughness (12-15%) while hacking through hordes, but each to there own!
Have fun out there!
thank you
Id probably drop Crunch, since it only works if you hold attack down until the game decides to let it attack, rather than if YOU were to let go of the attack button., and therefore also doesnt work with the Ripper gun, since that isnt considered a "fully charged" heavy attack.
In fact, IMO if you wanted to make this more tanky, id drop both Crunch and Furious for the -10% Toughness Damage nodes below Dominate and Coward Culling, and move the one above Bull Rush over to the third node. While youd have 20 points less Toughness without changing anything else on this current build, youd be taking a third less damage to it, which im preeeetty sure is better in the long run mathematically.
And could cover it by grabbing a second curio with +17% toughness instead of the +wound, bringing you up 18 toughness points, almost completely covering the loss, and making you a lot more tankier at the same time.
Awesome stuff man
One insanely clutch aspect of Feel no pain is that the aoe knockback that triggers from losing all stacks can and will knock a pox hound off of you when it triggers- this has saved runs for me on multiple occaisions.
Damn I didn't even know this, thank you for this info! A must pick now it seems.
One thing you have to watch out for when using Bull Rush is the game director loves to spawn a trapper right in front of you as you charge into a crowd. Since your movement is limited in the Bull Rush animation you can't strafe to the side and so can easily get trapped in the net.
Happy to hear you've found recent success! You've got a good format going with quick and easy to understand guides whilst keeping gameplay in too. I look forward to what you have in store
Thank you so much for your support! Means a lot to have people behind me as i start this venture into this scary RUclips place ❤️👊
A few corrections and suggestions on my end.
1. Payback Time doesn't just boost melee DMG. It boosts all DMG. Your Rock and your Ranged Weapon gets +20% DMG for the duration as well.
2. Crunch is a pretty bold talent to pick with a Cleaver as Fully Charged Heavy is one you hold until it auto release; A relatively rarity to do on the Cleaver in my experience, since it doesn't frontload the damage that hard, especially, if you do not pair it with THRUST to maximize the charge effect.
3. As you yourself pointed out, Bull Butcher is the Light Spam god-weapon, not exactly known for its Heavies. Investing into Heavies would make more sense if you pick Mk4 Cleaver, which waves its heavies into both Anti-Horde (L3>H2) and Anti-Elite (L1>L2>H1) Combos.
4. Crunch doesn't work on Ripper Stabs as they cannot be charged.
01:16 That BIG FRIENDLY ROCK part had me howling 🤣
I made an Ogryn because of it and it's my favourite class now. Bull-Rushing over harder enemies as if they're not important is just the best feeling 😂
Playing Ogryn is such a fun class, the true carry of the team. Feels absolutely unstoppable when played right
Nice format, you don't speak like you're in a race against time, you explain most node choices, yet you manage to explain your build in 6 minutes unlike other youtubers whom I cannot keep track of the speedy blabber over 10+ minutes... Liking and subscribing
Glad I found you! I subbed instantly! You have a good voice, good format, and good explanations. I learned a very valuable thing form you. You weapon melee attacks count as a heavy attack. This I did not know, and it made me make sense of so much.
Thank you.
I appreciate your content!
This was an extremely detailed and simplistic breakdown of the build as well as super easy to play as and understand. Excellent vid and build dude keep it up
Thank you very much! My intention is to try and explain everything in a simple manner for those returning to, or just picking up the game, while keeping in enough detail for those with experience to enjoy. Because man, this game does not do an amazing job of telling you what everything does. Glad you enjoyed and more videos on the way!
Don't ignore the tiny nodes available to Ogyn, for 3 points you could take minor nodes giving you 10% Toughness damage reduction each or +25 toughness which you will scale with curio's, could be worth trying over some of the more optional picks like feel no pain extra's.
Weirdly ogryn starts with the lowest base toughness at 50 but can get up to 160 toughness base. You can easily get over 200+ toughness with curios which really helps against shooters and with toughness replenishment on every heavy you have massive sustainability in melee and shooter groups.
This is amazing! I've been trying to find some builds BESIDES "heavy stubber and fare right teir". Awesome video man keep it up you got a subscriber!
To stop bull rush you can simply take one step back instead of dodging to stop it. It's a bit quicker.
Yeah you are right, I just have made a habit of dodging backwards out of it because I am normally running headlong into hordes!
@@BriggsoYT I can understand that, usually stagger is applied around you so, either work, but a bit unlikely to get hit with the stagger. So just lets me whip around and start whaling on them with the increased melee speed buff from bull rush.
you can just right click out of bull rush too
Your videos and delivery is always really nice. For build videos could you do an Overview Screen or upload them to a build editor site and throw in a link? Makes the copy paste faster :) Keep up the amazing work and keep having fun!
Mate your video are really good and profesional. thankyou for you hardwork
Crunch! Only works when you literally fully Charge a Heavy Melee attack, not just any Heavy Attack, so it's rather low in use cases except openings. I'd highly advise specing out of that and picking up the Bleed from the Charge Ability so enemies you cha
ge though get Bleed Stacks, this can wipe out groups of Trash Mobs.
A few thoughts on the build from watching you explain it, and seeing some gameplay:
- I would replace the wound curio with more toughness or health. I often run 2 toughness 1 health, and I rarely take any damage when doing so. Having 4 wounds seems overkill when 3 is enough.
- Confident strikes might be better to use instead of momentum, because then you'll have a constant source of toughness regain as long as you hit consistently, and it'll be useful against big solo targets like a monstrosity
- Personally would see if I could fit the bleed modifier from charging into the build somehow, so the charge can weaken nasty elite trains
Regardless, probably will try this build myself as I am a big fan of the Mk III cleaver.
I'm picking my Ogryn back up tonight, this is the build I'll be going for as the Ripper Gun is the only cool ranged weapon the Ogryn has and I don't like the shield :D
Thanks again, great vid.
Christian from Sweden.
i love the soundtrack for the new mission
Awesome tips great build. Good video.
I have been running a sneaky boi veteran build and damn it is soo much fun
Dope as heck. GG sah.
Thank you sah!
I really hope they don’t make the new mission easier. I’ve seen a lot of people in my missions complain about it being tougher, but I love it.
Dk if you played doom eternal but I was a little sad at when they changed some of the encounters in pt 1 of the dlc to make it easier I went through it 3 times on nightmare before they patched it and after the patch went through I dies a lot less and though it's still difficult I did enjoy the challenge and the satisfaction of overcoming it
Yeah agreed, from what i hear, i think people are struggling with the finale. I tend to stay at the entrance of the colosseum as it makes for a good choke point!
I love it when my bf goes in dry too
@@Troupe_Master ok I didn’t realize how wrong that sounded.
It is a meat grinder. Fun though. Its the last fight that fucks with people in higher levels.
have you tried this with the shovel? can make great use of all the heavy attack buffs in this build imo
Hello. Nice vidz ! I got questions : how do you get the life bars and damage from monsters? Is there a DPS Meters? best regards
I like to run with the ability that makes enemies you knock over with bleed, good for when you mow down a hoard of little ones. They sometimes die before they can stand up.
I just have the Ogryn to level to 30 and was going to start it today. Thank you for the build, in exchange, a like and a subscribe. 😀
I just want to make a recommendation that both me and my daughter (who also plays quite a bit) appreciate when we see build videos. I don't remember who did it, but they put a 5-10 second pause that shows the entire tree for a screen shot. I watch the entire video, but it is nice to have that on my phone while I am leveling.
Sorry, I just noticed the comment for the Games Lantern build link. My apologies, this works just as well. 🙂
I'm curious what mods you run and what the best way to install is. I couldn't get mods via vortex working properly. But Id like to be able to see health bars and teams ammo like your video :)
Trying that one tonight.
I run this, but with Brunt's Basher. It functions the same as bull butcher, but with haymaker and momentum for instakilling anything up to a mutant in size. It's slap attack also staggers every monstrosity with well-timed weakspot slaps
Plus I gotta add the entertainment value of using the "large heavy hand pimp slap". It's never not funny. This is my second favorite ability in the game second only to the Rock. To best enjoy the Rock may I suggest using them on Mutants. On impact the growling instantly stops, running / charging animations stop, the Mutants body goes hilariously stiff, and the physics breaks launching the mutant forward like a rocket. Perfection. Chef's KISS.
how have you got damage numbers up
Congrats on the channel growth. How do you have such high levels? lvl 58? Mine caps at 30
how does he have health bars on all enemies??
Rock best friend
what mods do you use?
Nice video bro, is the build still viable?
Last I had heard, and tested, the toughness regen from Feel No Pain and Toughest were not working. I haven't see anything in the patchnotes about them fixing this bug, but then again they do a bunch of stealth changes each time. Does anyone know if they have been fixed? PS. Thanks for the video, this seems like a fun build.
It always worked. Just not the way people wanted it to. Toughest! upgrade to FNP adds +25% to... Coherency Toughness Replenishment. Basically it's Half of Lynchpin if you have 10 stacks of FNP. Together with FNP and Lynchpin you can 'recreate' the old Lynchpin at +100% coherency replenishment.
Are you sure about putting so many points into heavy attacks when you use them so rarely?
what mods do u have?
what are pc mods you are using?
Very good build , i like the damage , one question about the damage counter , Is it a in game option/enable or is it a mod ? (And where can i find it if its a mod) Thank you
it is indeed a mod, if your on PC i have a guide on my channel of how to install mods
@@BriggsoYT Yeah PC. Thank you , will check it out
I run a build similar to this but I run the Best defense so i get 25% toughness while spamming heavies into hordes.
Think you can use a Kickback with this build and still do ok?
New Ogryn Build Coming Soon. Thats all i will say 😉
I don't know how many times I see "Rock" being the best way to deal with some charging Mutants. Heck, just today I killed 2 Ragers with one somehow. Only though is that it clipped them both as they were turning into someone who was about to get Rager-Wrecked.
The tried and true rock is blessing from the Emperor. I know this to be so as he abandons all laws of physics when the mutants have been hit.
You’d be better with the mk iv cleaver imo. It’s at least as good at horde clear with the h2->l3 combo and that way you’re getting heavies in all the time for bleed and toughness regen. It’s just needs a bit of practice to get it down as easy as light spamming on the mk iii.
Confident Strike > Momentum, cause´ it works on single target Enemies
Build to clear, ogryn brain no understand. Killed everyone with gun lugger kickback.
You should add timestamps for like talents, gear, and combat testing/showcase.
Not enough punching here
Nice stuff.
2kliksphilip but does Darktide, I love it
If only this game was cross play then I wouldn’t have to level up another ogryn on my Xbox just to play with family
crunch is simply not good, the time it takes to do a FULLY charged attack is way to long, you can do 2 heavy attacks in that time. ps. the thoughness dmg reduction stack additivly with your 20% base tdr. you should really go for both tdr notes!
new psyker build plssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. i'm your No.234 fan.
Yeah, really boggles the mind why no one would want to pick up an Ammo Crate.
Wanna see real ogryn clutches?
timestamp for curios? :P
I don't tend to cover curios as i go by the rule of run what you like. I for one hate gunners and will always have at least one resistance perk for them XD
"Crunch!" is absolutely useless in this build. A shovel is perfect with this talent! For the talent to work, you need to fully charge the attack!
