Atoma's Elite Guard is a penance awarding the Master of the Golden Storm insignia, recently added by the Road to Redemption update for Darktide. This video records our first attempt at getting it done with the Officio Ogrynorum -- a team of four Ogryns.

Wow. That was fantastic to see 4 Ogryn ATOMA'S ELITE PALS are the best if elite squad mission. Very impressive. Well done!
just got an amazing discord team tonight was helping people get this penance as well as the auric storm achievement we ended up going 5 auric maelstroms in a row with no downs at all the missions were (and Im bad at mission names)
-Power matrix (2 runs) waves of busters/mutants and nurgel blessed with 20% cooldown
-relay station (one with the desert map+fan) (2 runs) hunting grounds + 20% cooldown
- chasm terminus (1 run) hunting grounds with 20% cool down
arguably these are some of the easiest modifiers for auric mael but still glad we got the team the auric storm and didn't go down a single time

what are your thoughts on the changes to feel no pain
I'll give my 2 cents on it. It's less forgiving for getting hit, but it's more forgiving in getting stacks back since it's twice as fast. Feels as strong as before when proper defence is used more often.
Deserved and good changes. Gunlugger could too easily gain massive tankiness value from it because getting shot doesn't deal any HP damage until you are fully out of Toughness. Now both ranged and melee have to play around losing & gaining stacks which is both more fun and more balanced.

Can't tell exactly what you guys are running but how do you rate the shield and club for higher difficulty missions?
Shield with Brutal Momentum and Skullcrusher is a pretty strong weapon that is, more than anything else, very easy to use. All you have to do is spam Heavy 1 (so do a heavy attack, tap the block button to reset your attack chain, then heavy attack again) and you will slowly but surely bulldoze your way through the mission.

Loving this patch so far! The puzzles are significant additions to each map not to mention there are a TON of areas that have been reworked or added entirely to accomodate them. The heretic idols are a nice bonus to find and nab for extra pepsi cans. The new unit and new combat modifier also make ever encounter and map different. In my opinion playing Darktide for an afternoon finally feels as good as VT2 for an afternoon. The maps finally feel like an interconnected and lived in city, the way helmgart did.

how did you get 237 toughness? highest I've gotten to is 194
3x 17% or 16% Toughness curios with 3x 5% Toughness perk and a lot of +Toughness nodes from the skill tree.

Well, i have 211 toughness with my zealot, isnt impossible, could have around 220-230 if they all had 5% additional toughness also
gunlugger go burr. think a buff vet or zelot would be good in the squad, shame its limited to teams of 4.
ogryns arent that great because soloing hordes is harder than with the other classes as due to their size, limited movement, limited attack speed, heavy reliance on either toughness/coherency or ammo beyond even vets, and their hulking size making being shot by heavy gunners and snipers all too easy means that ONLY if your teammates are as durable as you in a group do ogryns become 'good' and only because they are blocks of tungsten in a coordinated group meaning only in a group of pure ogryns do they actually work well with otherwise you would be better with a smite psyker or a vet/zealot with ONE ogryn with a slab shield built to tank bosses with taunts to be able to control them as well.
