It's fascinating that all of the main issues you had with this run could easily have been solved by simply using your Invoker skill. I know that's not what the challenge is about, but it goes to show just how strong this build can be.
I think I experimented with crit damage as well, but I may have to experiment again now that you're mentioning it. Maybe there is a way to squeeze a bit more damage out without using the invoker skills.
So far this is the most enjoyable build I've ever played with but, I did have to sacrifice the Burden of the Destroyer ring because my dodging isn't that good. I switched it for the Stream Coupler (Using a skill regenerates 25% of max health over 10s) and it has helped me out a lot.
That is a totally understandable trade off in gear! Arguably it helps a lot especially since Burden of the Rebel is equipped, making relics slower. Great tip!
I've run this type of build roughly since the second dlc release... Run the same cooldown for skills then run Ahaene ring then Shaed Stone. Then run guns and melee with 5 unique statuses and it does great damage to bosses when you spam Eruption
@@jakubfabijanczuk8221 Honestly based on the small snippet we've seen, my expectation is it will synergize with both Summoner and Engineer. We should get an archetype trailer soon though, as they seem to be putting those out a bit before the DLC drops.
@@theboxlynx it's usually a week after the first trailer. But I hope it will be better synergy than the challenger because I made a build around the engineers heavy weapons.
If you want a nice cowboy flair for this build try using the cultist hat with alchemist coat bandit gloves and gunslinger boots bout as cowboy as it gets. Also you should do an updated version of thes now that we have prisms you could take this build to the next level.
Oh, definitely gonna have to try that drip! If I get some time I'll drop on update in my top level comment with an update to the prisms. I haven't played too much with them yet since it mostly just feels ultra grindy, and I have had terrible rolls on my prisms lol.
@theboxlynx use a guide to throw em together it' helps to find the pairings for stats. Alot of people say boss rush is the way to go .... There are some amazing legendary perks like double prime perks
@@ThePhOeNiX86 Yeah I have played a bit of Boss Rush, and I was testing some exploding heart + starkiller build I slapped together for fun. It was pretty enjoyable, and at a minimum, it felt like a much faster way to farm relic fragments/dust.
This is half (as i can remember) the CD reduction build. It's a fun build to use with the 75% CD and now it's gonna be more powerfull with the new mech on 24 september :D Also, the invoker skill is so strong vs multiple enemy and in general u can make it uptime almost ever
I'm excited for the new mech! I'm hoping we get a bunch of fun new tools with the archetype, but agreed. Invoker stuff is ultra strong, and honestly it pairs with almost any other archetype super well.
I’d like to try another remnant challenge run but I’m not sure what and you seem well versed so I’ll ask you, if you feel like it. What remnant challenge run should I try?
Hmmm well, what kind of challenge are you looking for? Something similar to the guides I have (you find a build that has good output, and try to run the game with a restriction), or you looking for more of a true challenge where you're struggling to get through?
Hmmm, well there are actually 2 ideas I had considered making a vid of before, which was fargazer only or voltaic rondure only. Out of those 2 voltaic seems much more approachable since archon and stone of malevolence should keep it up quite easily and let you spam orbs. As for damage output though, if you allow yourself to shoot it that would help a lot, but if not I would focus most of the build around upping it's damage. Fargazer on the flip side seems less approachable, but I really love this mod lol. If you want to move away from mod only builds, krell axe only could be quite fun, though there may already be some content/builds around that.
@@theboxlynx interesting choices there, I also love fargazer and wish I could use it more effectively. With some of the new rings like the one that regens mod power to the stowed weapon could work with cartographers jewel archon and the new insight perk for mod regen. It’s entirely possible but not very fast lol. Voltaic rondure I’ve never even began to be good with. It was the first boss mod I got and I have never used it well. Shooting it would definitely help but it never goes where I want it to lol
This skill is why i wish we had a fan the hammer revolver as a weapon. Hell, i'd take the western revolver having a fan the hammer animation since the fire rate is so fast already! I'm doing a variation of this without shaed stone because i dont have it yet, but if you equip hyperconductor you get 6 shots of quick draw, then equipping index of the scribe gives you more skill weakspot damage which deals 5.5k per charged shot while still keeping the 6 shots. The extra 2 shots go away if you use them tho, and my version only has 90% uptime between throwing out some invoker skills here and there.
You know I messed around with hyperconductor, and I was tempted to run the 6 shots instead. I think legacy protocol slightly extends the length of quickdraw, but being able to put other equipment slots towards other things, such as skill damage, was better in my mind. Though with the newest DLC release and the new fragments stuff, I suspect there is a more optimal way to go about this. That said I haven't farmed the new system much yet to get a conclusive answer. As a note though, index of the scribe is a great idea! I toyed with the idea of going more into weakspot damage, but I remember there being enemies without weakspots, and I didn't feel like swapping builds to stay optimal in every scenario. Great notes though!
I think you could have swapped to the amulet that gives 35% skill weakspot damage for annihilation and swap around the other parts of your build for the 80% cdr
Definitely would've been an option, and for bosses with weakspots there probably is a build to squeeze out more damage. That said, I was mostly running a "solve all the situations" build, and didn't feel like swapping depending on scenario. Someone else also mentioned running Index of the Scribe which is the amulet I think you are referring to.
Sorry to hear! I haven't really interacted much, but my take on builds is that if you enjoy it, it's good enough. For example, I have a dodge explosion build that is by no means great, but it is fun, so it is good in my eyes.
Ah I actually haven't played boss rush yet, but I've been meaning to! Now that they've released this, it might even be a better way to tackle these how to videos.
So interestingly enough I did play around with this when build testing! Hyperconductor does indeed give you 6 casts (though I was hoping it'd be 8 when coupled with Invoker, but not quite). However, it required me to lose damage use other rings to offset the skill cooldown debuff it gives. With max cooldown there weren't many times I ran out of skill charges (barring the fight or two I explicitly called out), so I didn't feel it was worth it. Though others may feel different!
Suggestion: Probability Cord gives universal Critical Damage. Since Quickdraw is ALWAYS crits, this ring is a direct buff to Quickdraw. Compared to Shaed + Destroyer Ring, swapping one of them out for Probability Cord does result in higher damage.
Good optimization! I'll have to give it a try when I can. I remember messing with crit stuff, but I'm forgetting why I ran burden over cord... Guess I'll find out when I test again!
Swap one of them for Probability Cord and the other one for Crimson Dreamstone. Since Quickdraw always crits, it easily maintains the full 20% damage buff with no drawbacks.
@@yeoldpubman this is exactly how i like to do it too, these guys got some good suggestions here i could see crimson dreamstone being dropped if you are aiming weakspots with the big single shot though. floodlit diamond would be AWESOME with monolith sandstorm but this is quickdraw only so
@@spasmaticrerol6590 If you're OK with using guns to apply debuffs then you can also throw in Way of Lydusa for more crit damage. Sandstorm won't apply Brittle but the primary beam will, it lasts something like 5-10 seconds so you just have to tap the target with it. You also get *even more cooldown reduction* from casting the dust devil explosions.
It's fascinating that all of the main issues you had with this run could easily have been solved by simply using your Invoker skill. I know that's not what the challenge is about, but it goes to show just how strong this build can be.
The trick is to just shoot first.
and ask questions later...
Id personally go for the last ability in the Invoker class for the extra crit, then swap the burden ring for the crimsondream stone ring
