Shield and psionics makes this build weaker and much less efficient to run. Venting shriek along with its second perk applies additional soulblaze stacks past the original limit. Brain burst should only be used for snipers and gunners too far to flame down, which you one hit without empowered psionics. Warp charges do a better job of damage dealing and adding stacks of burn.

It's not an ideal build for a psyker. Surge Force staff is far more superior ranged weapon which is easy to kill enemies with without missing your shots. I rarely go for Seer's Presence because it's not worth it. It's better to get the 5% extra critical chance which you are more likely to find useful than being able to deploy the shield 10% faster and you are more useful to your team as they also benefit from it and can clear enemies faster alongside you. To deal with Peril, I simply go for being able to quell 30% faster which is better than me having a guaranteed crit because you can easily avoid going over your peril and imagine it as if you can also deal an extra 30% more damage by being able to use your warp attacks faster. Overall, I would rate your build 3 out of 5 as I don't see players often use a similar build like yours, as there are better alternative builds that can outperform it.

It just needs more ammo, i don't mind plasma being better in most situations, but damn does the bolt gun have ammo issues. I say an extra 3 mags would be enough.

Coming into this game fresh, I've played all 4 "classes" to get them to level 10 so I had an idea of what each was capable of. Psyker is the most confusing, this is great!

This shotgun benefits quite a bit from extra finesse and crits, which translates into better headshots & crit damage. Therefore taking the left keystone gives you extra kill potential, but also MORE reload speed. Two of my older builds is build around the pure dmg Agri with flak and maniac etc, and another which is more crit based with man-stopper, Deadshot.

At first, I thought this was intentional because of how the Purgatus Staff interacts with the soulfire perks

That first build is great. Not long into the game & love that Autogun, prefer them to Las. Good explanation of a skill tree & i wasnt aware wrapons perks made so much difference

I tried the build , and I haven't reach full level 30, still at level 14, but following the path of the build, but I notice something that it seem that my kills and my damages seems to not registered to me, and it was registered to some other of my team mates as I find it odd. Does it supposed to be like that ? I remember busy blasting off the assasination target shield and damages the target after the shield is gone, and killing off the crowds but somehow my damages toward the assasination target and the crowd kills doesn't registered. Unlike when I use other staff during lower levels though.

I'm running a somewhat similar build except at the top of the tree I took some talents on the right side because I feel like the Bolter's more of a medium to short range weapon so I like the idea of having sprint to close the distance, and there's also reload speed there and kills replenishing toughness, but otherwise it is very similar to your build

Do you have a mod list posted somewhere? I really like how you can see the health bars
