The Wild ONE Skeleton 42mm by NORQAIN epitomizes high-performance sports watches through a collaborative effort with Jean-Claude Biver and Swiss suppliers. Crafted from NORTEQ® carbon fiber, renowned for its strength and lightness, the watch freatures a revolutionary shock-absorbing case construction. Its sandblasted titanium container and case back, coupled with a water resistance of 200m, ensure durability and functionality in various environments.
Measuring 42.00mm in diameter and 12.30mm in thickness, with a lug-to-lug distance of 49.40mm, the watch strikes a balance between robustness and wearability. Its scratch-proof sapphire glass, featuring anti-reflective coating and NORQAIN branding, enhances visibility and protection. The screw-down crown, overmolded with black rubber and NORQAIN logo, adds a touch of style and practicality.
The dial showcases an openworked design in black with gecko green accents, complemented by diamond-cut skeleton rhodium-plated indexes. These indexes, along with the hour and minute hands, are filled with gecko green X1 Super-LumiNova®, ensuring readability even in low light. I find Norquain a bit confusing. They seem very expensive for what they are, and I’d be sending this particular watch straight back to Norquain with that chip or dirt on the second hand tip. That said I think this colour is fantastic and agree with you about the fun aspect of the design - we could do with a few more ‘unserious’ watch designs.
