    I was “riding high” when that record came out! That was my introduction to the Fender Rhodes Piano. The keyboard player in my neighborhood use to play that song and I asked him who sang that song and he told me Faze-O. Got the album; rest is history!😌🎹❤️👍🏾

      Yes, faze--3, which became Faze-O, was the opening act for the Ohio Players for close to two years before the album Riding High came out. And I was on the road crew for one of those years 76 thru 77. And up until 79. I am one of the crew members mentioned when the van and trailer were on two wheels. And yes, a lot of people all over the U.S. seen Faze-3 playing Riding High before they became Faze-O.

    • @gabe-q4i
      @gabe-q4i 6 дней назад +1

      And I forgot to mention that I was not the driver that had the van on two wheels. Keith just had that incident a little mixed up. But I guess I'm a little internet famous by default. But another crew member was driving at that time. He'll I was not even in the van, I was driving the equipment truck miles ahead of them at that time. Gabe!

    • @gabe-q4i
      @gabe-q4i 8 месяцев назад +2

      Alot of people dont know that Roger (Dodger) Parker went to Dunbar High School. And the drum beat that is played on Steve Arrington's Weak In The Knee's. That drum beat is a beat he made up in High School at Dunbar. And the schools Drum Line adopted that beat as their signature beat for many of years. Hell they might still even be playing now I don't know

    HOW THE FUNK CAPITAL OF THE WORLD IS FIGHTING TO KEEP ITS LEGACY ALIVE IN DAYTON OHIO!
    Stephen StarrJUN 19 2019.
    When Dayton’s The Funk Music Hall of Fame & Exhibition Center - aka TheFunkCenter - opened in December 2017, locals delighted in it marrying a proud musical tradition with hope for the revival of a city long down on its luck. Built to celebrate the Ohio city’s reputation as ground zero of the funk world, the center drew volunteers and experts from the Netherlands, Japan and the U.K. and superstar names from Dayton’s 1970s and ’80s funk scene, who pieced together the decades-old instruments, records and memorabilia on display. Tickets to the opening ceremony sold out in days.

    • @gabe-q4i
      @gabe-q4i 8 месяцев назад

      That was Rodger Parker playing on Steve Arrington Hall Of Fame. So it was Rodger playing as him self. because Steve left the Group Slave, and at that time Faze-O had disbanded. And Steve Arrington knew that Rodger was one of the Baddest drummers in the land of funk "Dayton Ohio" Go back and listen to Faze-O three albums, and also listen to Slave's first 3 Albums. enough said
