Tbf if it meant they came back and patched out a few more glitches (like people flying through the bottom of PS2) or even did some nerfs/buffs (I’m personally biased against Kazuya, personally, think he needs a few angle adjustments to give him a little harder of a time on his combos, let alone anyone else who could use some nerfs or buffs) I wouldn’t be entirely against it. It would feel bad to glimpse “what might have been” only to have it taken away, but we also have had about 4 years of playing without such a tech anyway

@@bhoppyy6458 Shield Stun canceling is really simple. GIMR explains it better than I do, but basically if you're shielding a multihit move that won't even allow you to drop shield(such as most rapid jabs), you can eventually roll out of said multihit and get a massive punish.

All Gimr tech is called "The Gimr" Snake Dthrow combos, phantom footstooling, body block tech chasing, get up attack, etc. Excited af. Especially if it's IDJ levels of ground breaking.
So I'm guessing it's a tech that makes aerials safe on shield and it probably looks like the character drifts far away from the opponent after hitting shield, which is why everyone is mentioning "wavedash but in the air"

that would be full landing lag + 3 frames minimum, the same as spotdodge. Also this has to have an ofensive side, since they things like "infinite pressure" or "look at the angles it sends"...
not really much of a point in doing that because spotdodge will always be around twice as fast and being above the oppponent (especially after a phantom footstool) isn't a particularly great position.

Based on the Smash pros' reactions and statements, this might as well be a tech revolving around Neutral Aereal. Since everyone is shocked and commenting about NAirs being safe, this tech may involve NAirs on shield. 2. The mentioned "Wavedashing in the Air" could have a lot of meanings. My guess, in combination with the already mentioned NAirs, is that the NAirs can shift your movement, causing you to have a movement option similar to "wavedashing in the air". 3. Looking back at the other video (the trailer), the tech would most definitely involve phantom footstools (since it is literally shown at the start). Since phantom footstools are in such an oddity for movement options, this may as well BE part of the tech. Adding all these, the tech in question might be what seems to be a Phantom Footstool NAir Drift. It applies to most NAirs, considering the heard characters' NAirs are vastly different to each other. It adds safety to NAirs, considering that the usage of NAir is encouraged, like "I could spam NAir more" and "This will help X character". Wouldn't be surprised if some characters wouldn't be able to perform this because of their NAirs being bad...

It has to do with the fact that each footstool after the first has you jump a little lower. After a few footstools you can do some sort of attack/footstool loop

For those of you who don't want to wait, here is the tech reveal. It involves using IDJ in conjunction with air dodge. If you do this at the precise timing you are able to keep doing attacks while airborn. So instead of being limited in the number of moves you can do before retouching the ground if you use this tech you will be able to basically jump while in the air more than normal. The timing to do this is very hard to get down and I think certain types of DI or SDI will be able to counter while some characters will be too slow to avoid it until they reach certain percentages.

It has to do with the fact that each footstool after the first has you jump a little lower. After a few footstools you can do some sort of attack/footstool loop

Is probably gonna be like having the momentum of a directional air dodge but being able to atack out of it somehow
For those of you who don't want to wait, here is the tech reveal. It involves using IDJ in conjunction with air dodge. If you do this at the precise timing you are able to keep doing attacks while airborn. So instead of being limited in the number of moves you can do before retouching the ground if you use this tech you will be able to basically jump while in the air more than normal. The timing to do this is very hard to get down and I think certain types of DI or SDI will be able to counter while some characters will be too slow to avoid it until they reach certain percentages.
