Do you think Jaq had good intentions in helping the people of Summerhouse and the estate? Or was she just feeling guilty and looking to clear her conscience? Comment your thoughts below!
This plotline is where my suspension of disbelief shattered into pieces (it'd already cracked various times before). There's no logical reason the character would do that, unless the writers are saying she is a bit slow. Did she think that was all the drugs in the world and they'd cease to exist or Sully etc would just say oh well let's clean up the community now instead. No logical person would take this course of action, especially knowing the consequences -purely a contrived plot device- jumped the shark? vis a vis Snowfall's tiger episode-laughing instead of gripped
Idk Jaq’s backstory but it seems like the street life is all she knows, they need a new season where she rises up to become a Queenpin and takes over since all the threats are eliminated now. And with the death of her sister she becomes ruthless and cold blooded. That’s the direction I would go.
Jaq stealing the drugs is pointless, as there’s much more supply of it. If she’s upset with the game, just leave it, not steal from savages who’ll hunt down you and your family
Yeah she should have just left!
Sully and Dushane not savages ....Lauren her sister was a savage ....being tossed between drug dealers one worst than the last cause she like "bad boy" more than Top boy 😂
💯
Jaq was a victim. A victim of poor writing....
This guy is a genius 😂
Factssssss
How? With all the random ass choices she chose is not the writers fault she has been moving up and down since day one💯
@@abdullaahiahmed8924wait.. what?! 😂😂
@@lytebeem3731 Did i lie?
Jaq was a traitor to her craft , her friends and herself in general. She was just an emotional wreck and SELFISH because if there was never a situation which made it personal (her sister's death) she would never care about the repercussions to her way of life. She snaked up the program and got some plot armor this season anyone else would've got smoked as soon as the loss the food to dushane !
that plot armor was sumthin serious.. she wasnt supposed to make it out alive
Facts ot only matters for her when it hits home, like she took “All” the food and tried to skip town, like what was she about to do with that throw it away ?
I have a feeling she was saved for a spin off. The writers could have killed her off as that would have made a massive epic on the show. But were prob told to keep her alive for a spin of show.
@@temisanpopo8036 jaq killed sully
Let's remember that Jaq didn't express sympathy to Stefan about his brother's passing, but instead accused Jamie for Kit’s death in front of him.
That’s true
Why would she tho
She came up from under dris, basically been with dushane and sully since they came back. She also said to dushane when they joined summerhouse that she didn’t trust Jamie.
I think Stefan believed her tho, he’s a smart kid probably put the timeline together that Jamie died right after kit. He knew it was true and still wanted revenge. He did the right thing tho, people like sully and Anthony soprano always get theres’.
And remember how she seduced and bully little ATS out into the streets to sell drugs for her....ATS the little boy wound up getting murdered partly cause of her
Jaq is an idiot and a little rat about that whole situation, she didn’t mention that sully and Dushane put Jamie’s life and his family’s life on the line when they gave him that ultimatum
@@amminiqbali3574To be fair to our Sister Jaq Steph and Arron dont know how Jamie bun up the Turks people alive then beat poor crazy Cam to death and toss him out the window so.Jamie wasnt no Angel he gone the same hell as Sully in to burn ☝️
She was definitely reacting off guilt and loss of Lauren. She definitely had an reality shifting moment realising the damage she had done to the community and saw to do something about it.
Cognitive dissonance is a heavy factor while being a drug dealer. She had heroic actions but overall was not a hero. She like the others was a product of circumstance. Thats what makes it realistic
I think this she just couldn’t get away with the same things she did in the past the death of Lauren rock her hard if it wasn’t for that she wouldn’t have changed
@@user-wb1ss8fd6f 100 percent!
Man why didn't anyone tell me Jaq was fine in real life. I just saw an interview with her, can't believe thats the same character. She is good actress.
Get ya head in the game family 😂
jaq (even if she killed sully but i doubt it) really had a happy ending. though her sister passed, a piece of her (her son) lives. jaq’s nephew and becks gave jaq a new identity, source of love, and newfound responsibility. she should’ve just got out the game though instead of robbing sully 😂
She put so many ppl in danger and stole the food as if those were the last drugs in the world. If she really wanted to do something, she would've destroyed it and not just left with it..
She was acting in an emotionally unstable manner. If you submit yourself to that way of life you can’t get cold feet when it hits close to home
She had no issues with the baby but lauryn offing herself whilst supposedly knowing what addicts look like missed this entirely???? I really dont understand why she just didnt take time for herself set her girlfriend and the baby somewhere else. I dislike the idea of guilty conscience because she was selfish till the damn end💯
@@abdullaahiahmed8924eggzaklee
Exactly such dumb writing, she was in the game long enough to know what would happen yet she got Kieron involved
@@uzzy_787 I agree. The writing was disappointing. She was a solid soldier up until things became too close for comfort. She could have just walked away. Instead, she turned to betrayal.
I didn’t even get it!!! For jaq to act the way she did, it’s as if she’s NEVER EVER EVER EVER thought of what she did EVERY DAY😳😳😳😳😳 they should have made her 17 or something
This is kinda complicated. Jaq is kinda a hero for taking the food and trying to save lives. But at the same time she did betray sully when he trusted her almost as much as he trusted dushane
I think she took the food to sell it so she could escape the street life. She's definitely not a hero.
It's definitely one that provides division!
Her emotional instability allowed the food to get intercepted and hence proliferate dushane to see an opportunity to take the food.
And she expected a “free” pass
She betrayed keiron
Jaq had a mental breakdown triggered by PTSD, with no time to grieve. So she could at least balance herself out. Jaq was neither a traitor or a hero. Just a criminal who ultimately feels on a personal level the ripple of the accumulated actions they have taken!
Yeah - she was only thinking of herself, not the greater good of the community! I feel she just wanted to do something to get rid of the guilt she had in her mind
@@BrainPilot She was trying to be accountable to the things she felt guilty about. We must remember, she wasn't trying to be a hero. Just accountable...
She is so selfish after years and years of her seeing the consequences of her actions and how it affected the ppl around her she realized it was bad when it was her sister so selfish
that's the drug game. its selfish at the core
The roads ain’t built for no Robin Hood type ishhh
Run the packs back
Or turn into 1
I could not understand why jack stole that stuff and immediately ready to return 😂..
Took the food...only to give it back 🤔 putting herself and her family in danger...getting kieron killed, Si badded up ... not a good move!
Yeah she should have thought about it more!
Jaq's attack of conscience wasn't surprising at all. Especially in the 4th season with the guilt she felt when Ats was murdered. The boy she helped groomed into the drug trade simply for who he was. Friends with the brother of her bosses opponent.
The guilt/shame Jaq exhibited was amplified by her sister, Lauren(who always had a knack for making piss poor decisions) taking her own life via drug overdose due to her being unable to cope with murdering her controlling babyfather, Curtis. As a drug pusher, she herself was partly to blame for the damage done to her community and he sister. The way Jaq went trying to ease her conscience endangered her life, that of her nephew and girlfriend. Plus her actions got Keiron killed.
So in answer to the question, I don't view Jaq as either a traitor or a hero, but as a grief stricken, PTSD ridden hypocrite who reached anti-heroine status.
jaq got kieron killed when she stole the 2 bags but she knew that but im happy she survived
Good deeds dont go unpunished
i suppose you could maybe consider her a hero just based on the cause and effect of her actions
The writers killed jaqs, jasmine jobson, shes a fucking force of nature on the screen
My main issue for what Jaq did was that this action was just a convenient plot machine that made her look more stupid than she is. (I mean suddenly stealing a bag of food does literally nothing. She would not be that stupid even in mental breakdown). Except that and some other convenient stuff the season was fire and Jaq is super duper cool 🔥
That's why it's called a "mental breakdown". When they are real. Your best option is to not be around the person having it!
@@tremell7559 Still, it felt biased to act in this specific way.
It just helped for showing off Sully's ruthlessness and bring Dushane and Sully on war.
A hero we didn’t ask for
A hero we didn't get either lol
Everyone showed their true colors at the end.
Definitely did!
short answer: both
That's fair!
the thing is I get that her sister was killed & all that but how many life did she destroyed b4 either you all the way in or you’re not there’s no in beetween
Exactly!!!
Her sister didn’t get killed she killed her self accidentally
@@evancahoon2937 gotcha but nevertheless it was because of drugs
She would've been one if she destroyed the bags cause she got so many people hurt or even dead... or just gave it to Sully and Dushane. I heavily empathized with her emotional instability and she's a product of her own emotions but then what she did to Kieron seems to have made it hard to call her a hero.
TBH what did her stealing drugs do? Like it was established that there are other dealers in the country
Dushane and Sully spare her and her goofy sister several times even though she almost got them killed Dushane and Sully both love her ....look how she repay them
She would be a good Hawkgirl.
I knew her sister was gonna die, I was just waiting from the beginning. The way they removed her plus Jaqs actions after that. It’s just weird. Idk if I like anyone from this show anymore except, Stef.
Nahhhh no offense but I disagree with you I feel like Jaq's a hero
1. She didn't just do it bc of her sister she did it coz she saw how bad the community was becoming with Dushane saying to her ur just a drug dealer while tryna help free Kieron from being deported, her disloyalty to Sully and being in the game which made her start to see life alot differently and that this isn't the life she truly wanted whether it was for respect or quick pees from the start
2. The only reason whyy she went back to Sully after taking the drugs was bc her girlfriend convinced her to, not bc she wanted to, she even told Sully the drugs are destroying this community not just what happened to her older sister, Lauryn
3. How she went about it was wrong and can be seen as traitorous on a street level but in the eyes of the public she did what she thought was right and main characters are allowed to make mistakes too it actually makes them more human
4. If she killed Sully it makes her more of a hero coz she didn't do it to just to cover her tracks Sully killed Kieron (her best friend), the drugs took her sister (even though it was her own fault) Sully was on top and if he wiped out Jaq she wouldn't be there to protect her newborn nephew or her girlfriend sooo they was alot more at stake then just her and she was willing to hand over the drugs not knowing whether Sully was gonna give her a pass or not
5. My conclusion she's a hero as she did what she thought was right despite betraying everything she believed to be true on a street level but all heroes make mistakes on their first journey to becoming one coz that's life in my own outright opinion
Her hands to dirty to be a hero. If she wanted to commit to the hero role should would forsure had to dirty her hands a lot more. So I go with traitor since she tried to give the food back after she couldnt cope with setting up sully and anyone who planned on selling
Traitor. She wasn’t a hero she not only put people in danger but she was doing anything by stealing. The drugs would still be there
Facts
I love how we all call it ‘food’ now lol
Lol, it’s true!
Jaq will be seen as a heroin. If there s a spin of with her Mandy and Shell all trying to make Summer house good again it would not surprise me.
Or an anti-heroine.
People tried to Compare her to Snoop smh
I liked the final season a lot
But jaq taking the drugs was just the only part that I really didn’t understand
If she didn’t wanna sell drugs she coulda jus said that and stopped
Vs taking the drugs
Involving kieran
Pretty much getting Kieran killed
Just to give the drugs back an episode later
Idk I really just didn’t get that part
And she literally broke into the house to take the drugs like idk they really lost me at that part
She had a serious mental breakdown and that's why her actions were completely irrational and chaotic. it does make sense to me.
Jaq was stupid, I still don't understand how robbing a bag of drugs is going to stop the cycle of people shoting on roads, in reality someone like Jaq would've already been dead already or if to be on the mercy side out of London.
She's a traitor to dris as he was the one who recruited her in the Summer house gang but she dumped him as soon as she got the chance to climb up the ladder 🪜
That's true - I forgot about that to be fair! To be fair, Dris was the ultimate traitor though
He had good reasons tbf. I wouldn’t snake but I wouldn’t stick around either.
Jaq got moved up the ladder after Dushane told Dris he had to step back. Dirs had a stroke and was messing up that is what it was based on.
Thank You...people in the comments trying to rewrite the show🫡🤔💯@@orinorio1
An absolute traitor lmao & she was my fav character smh
Whether she believes it was for a good cause, shit whether it really is a good cause or not is irrelevant. She betrayed her friends & the gang. Literally stole from them & created problems that didnt need to happen
Jaq was a traitor. Two people died for her guilt. Traitor traitor traitor.
Hero
Season 5 not 3
It's 5
She was a traitor AINT wanna change sht till ha sister died but what about everybody else that died n she was selfish for it ain’t think about else 💯💯
Facts
Traitor. The END
What was Jaq going to do with the heroin, throw it in a river, "I think not"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She stole food her sister ate
She killed sully so...doesnt that make her a hero in the story?
Jaqs was a traitor to the back bone, sully should have told her to leave or do what he does Best , that way she would have never been the lion hiding in the park behind the trees , she did the worst thing you could do to your ppl who have saved her and her stupid sister , she couldn't even look at sully when she fired that shot and walked away like a traitor that she was made out to be, but who ever did write the last season of top boy needs to give it up, because they could have done 10 episodes and another season of top boy because they fans were there in loads of countries and they way they had Dushane making mistakes in nearly every episode was very bad writing, I could tell from the last season that they would run of with Dushanes money, like he put all his eggs in one basket, and you could tell that story was going down that road very bad writing for the last season of top boy, the destroyed their main characters in the last season of the top boy, I wonder why they could left the door open for a future top boy
Jacque is an outstanding character. I think she killed Sully; based on multiple reasons. But ultimately Sully was never going to free her. After shooting Sully she could move to another town and get away from that life. I think the Irish paid her and if this show comes back she will be older and the connect between the Irish and moving their product in England.
I believe she killed him but don't see her getting back into the game
Jaq was no hero. Jaq was a drug dealer. Funny how Dushane had to remind her.
Jaq didn’t even wanna help Kieran😂😭😭 why are people thinking of her as a hero
Lol, she just dragged him into it for no reason!
I like Jaq going off of the reservation. It's a direct consequence of Sully and Dushane's treatment and subsequent killing of Dris. Who held it down while they ran off to Jamaica and went to jail.
Dirs was killed based on telling Jamie and his crew where Sully and Dushane was. Jaq was there on the roof top with Sully. Jaq wanted Dris dead for what he did. Jaq only went the way she did after her sister died by taking the drugs Jaq making others sell.
Treatment of the guy that directly sold them out to be killed by the opposition. What are you smoking???
@@tremell7559 Go back and watch Top Boy season 2. Dris sold them out because he was being mistreated. He was the Top Boy before Dushane and Sully returned and didn't even fight them for the top spot and they saw Jaq as more reliable. Well Jaq proved to not be as reliable as they thought.
Death to your day one's because of "mistreatment"...get that participation trophy b.s. outta here. The man was disabled and being stepped on by the ZT's. Who in their right mind is going to follow that. @@Teamwonderful702
Jaq killed sully
Yeah that wouldn't surprise me!
This season didnt make any sense at all everyone just crashing out.... the first mistake was killing Jamie
Nah that was the most Sully thing of the whole show was killing Jaimie, loved the guy but he had to go
the whole point of the show was dushane and sully, Jamie had to go.
Traitor
Keiron is dead because of her .
But tbh bad writing 😂
😑🙄😄
She was selfish
She only wanted to stop the drugs once something bad happen to her
But she sold that to so many ppl that affected them and their families
I think the mentality of most dealers is, “well it’s not me or my family” most also trip very hard on family who do it, very hypocritical Because deep down they know what they’re doing. The feds aren’t on you because you’re getting dough tax free(although that pisses them off) they’re on people and chase them down and investigate to stop the bodies. As much as she wanted to stop everything, it will never end. Illegal activities and drugs have infiltrated literally every level of government. It’s like trying to stop a sinking boat with only a bucket to throw out the water.. try all you want but the boats sinking :/
This made her wake up and suddenly she understood what the food does to people example with the narco mother and baby she did care for others only too late
The show ended up absolutely abysmal so who even cares
not a hero at all, got kieron killed
Yeah i'd agree on that!
Poor character poor writing
She was afraid this entire season. As tough as she may be, she’s a woman at the end of the day. Women are just naturally more emotionally driven. She did what she FELT was right. She’s human if anything. But she absolutely shoulda just said fuck this place and left. She didn’t care until the results of that lifestyle hit her. It don’t work like that on da roads bruv.
Just an emotional female
I'm not even gonna watch the vid she a traitor
This was the worst part of the last season. They should have made a better way for jaq to slime Dushane and sully
Traitor
Yeah i'd agree!
