did your frame arrived? i got mine 2 days ago and finished the build, i had the straight nx on it, guide r brakes that i bought from someone, 35 fatbar and a 34 rhytmh 150mm rolling on a raceface aeffect r 29er wheels/teravail kenebec 2.6 tires. the only parts i bought brandnew are the nx drivetrains, everything else is used. cant wait to see your build.
I don't know why this is just now popping up after searching Ragley 100x but I'm building the same bike. It's funny how alike my build is with the tan skinwall tires & Chris King. Oh wait I couldn't pull the trigger on CK. I had his BB & HS in my shopping cart but then thought what if this frame sucks? the BB cost as much as the frame! So I went with CaneCreek to test the waters. Sorry dude but there's going to be 2 Big Al's that look like twins out there. lol
Too funny! Lol I saw on my other video you commented on the frame being canceled unfortunately but I'm sure your Big Al will look absolutely stunning! Great minds think alike! Hahahaha
I ordered one from pinkbike as well. Do you know what the max chainring size is? I have my eyes on a cheap sram boost crank that comes with a 34t. I'm getting the milky way color as well. Little tidbit, this is my second frame from Ragley, if your wondering what the soft tube of foam is, it's for your dropper cable to keep it from rattling in your frame.
I am honestly not sure what the max chain ring size is..... I can not find it on the website either. Sorry there! But, appreciate the heads up on the foam! I probably would have been a little confused! BAHAHAHA!!!
Nice ! I was thinking about trying to swap some parts from my Honzo ST standard build to a Big Al frame. Not sure on all the compatibility as I haven't done this before but for sure a wheelset would be in order (142 as its a 2013) My revelation is only 120 but quite certain can go up to 140 with a kit. 20 mm maxle. But again would have to verify that the fork would work with this frame. Look foward to seeing yours come together.
Ragley has all the necessary specs on their websites for their frames and it has helped me a ton on knowing what to buy! Definitely check that out for all the measurements and required parts! Definitely excited to finally put all this stuff on the frame when it comes in!
Of course! Sram Dub bottom bracket Sram Dub descendant cranks Raceface Chester pedals IS44/IS56 Christ King Head Set Rockshox Lyrik fork - 140mm Maxxis Ardent tires front and rear 29" - 2.4" wide Dt Swiss E1900 rims - 29" Shimano SLX brakes front and back Sram GX - entire group set Misc canyon parts - (Stem, handlebars, saddle, dropper post) PNW Loam grips PNW Loam lever - for Dropper post If there is something that I missed that you are specifically wanting to know definitely let me know. But that should be pretty much everything besides cables and what not.
looking at building the same frame, possibly. If i do i will probably put a 150mm or 160mm onto it if i do go with it. What spec is the headset by the way? built an mmbop up for a friend a year ago and had trouble with the headset not fitting correctly even though it was technically the correct size.
So, the actual head set style and sizing is ZS44/28.6 | ZS56/40. That is what it says on the website for the frame so hopefully I do not have any issues getting it in. I've heard great thing about the mmbop. I loved the color milky way so had to get the Big Al!
I'd put the 150mm on the nukeproof. The RS version of the reactor comes with a 150mm Lyrik... Should be really fine ;) which fork is that anyways? looks like a rockshox with rc2 damper
i ordered the same frame color teal on the 6th, will arrive on 11th tues here in AK.
I really liked the teal color as well! Enjoy it when it comes in!!!!

@@prettyboypalaboy that is awesome! Not yet unfortunately..... maybe my color choice has something to do with it. We shall see!

I legit just put it on the Nukeproof! BAHAHAHA it is the Rockshox Pike. Looks great on it!
Are you running 27.5" or 29" wheels
The big al is a 29er frame so 29ers for me!
