    Paychecks source:
    Celebrity Net Worth

    EVERY SINGLE MOVIE HE EVER MADE IS INCLUDED?
    To be exact, only theatrical movies and big budget direct to video/streaming/TV films are presented here. However, TV Series, Mini Series, Documentaries and Shorts are NOT included!
    How can an actor/director earn MORE than the budget of the movie?
    This phenomenon is called a 'backend deal,' which means the actor receives a portion of the film’s long-term earnings in addition to their upfront salary. These earnings can come from box office revenue, streaming, DVD, and Blu-ray sales, among other sources. Such deals can significantly boost the actor's total earnings, sometimes exceeding the film's entire budget.

      @@manxmanc4951as far as we know he didn’t do any motion capture for Groot. It’s more hilarious to think he made 15 million dollars for just saying “I am Groot” a few times. Didn’t even sound like him in GOTG 2, Infinity War & Endgame lol.

      His paychecks for these movies are actually just half the story. He rakes in huge royalties from Groot merch-it was part of his contract.

    • @BoxOfficeJoe
      @BoxOfficeJoe  4 дня назад +1

      Thank you for bringing this up. It's a 20-minute short, not a full movie, so I excluded it. But you're right-Diesel put a lot of effort into it, and it paid off big time. Maybe I should've made an exception for that one.

    Not the greatest actor but he picks entertaining roles so I like him. Boiler room was great if anyone looking for a different type of movie besides his usual action flicks. He's not the lead actor but plays a decent part.

    You missed that Vin's first movie was in awakenings, the only reason I know that because it was a question in a pub quiz I went to years ago (name the movie that had Robin Williams, Robert DeNiro & Vin Diesel) apparently Diesel had hair 😂

      Correct! However, he was just an extra without a single word to say-it’s a blink-and-you-miss-it scene. I couldn’t even find info on whether he was paid for it or just allowed on set as a favor. He was unknown back then.
