Nice video, thanks for the update. So my house is older and I'm looking to extend and redo my deck. Under the cedar shingles (now also covered by foamboard insulation and vinyl siding), there is a fiberboard material and then what I assume is a tar paper on tongue and grove house sheathing boards, so no paper or moisture barrier. I was planning to install the self adhering flashing on sheathing boards but where do I stop that vertically and how does stop laterally? Should it end vertically where the old materials were removed, which will be covered by foamboard and then vinyl siding about 4 inches above the ledger? And laterally, would it end by extending on top of the cedar shingles or under everything again?
I haven’t been this interested in flashing since spring break college years. Good video
