This was a huge when the song came out in 1985. If ''You Give Good Love'' was a her US breakthrought and helped to Whitney to have her first fans in US, with this song, she released her career worldwide and was her first worldwide hit. And also in US (and also in UK), this song was her first n.1 single of her career. This ballad was very excellent and was timeless. Always like this song then when the song came out.

In my opinion no one can touch Mrs. Houston! The voice range and emotion she put into her music! I believe some of this was passed on from her mama! I also don't believe it's right that some place all the blame on Bobby Brown for Mrs. Houston's drug use because she tried drugs before Bobby. I just believe Mrs Houston fell into a deep depression. I remember when she got booed during an Award show on BET I remember some saying she and her music wasn't Black enough😑 May Mrs. Houston and her beautiful daughter rest in peace.
