Brennan is just on another level when he's given the right environment to just go full tilt. Some of his DnD moments are legendary, like quite literally the thing that others quote.
From what i remember the tide pod challenge wasn't a really thing for the most part, until the media picked it up and said "Did you know kids are eating tide pods for internet clout?" Which made kids go "oh i can eat tide pods for internet clout?". Before that it was just a general meme and not something anyone was really doing
It literally started with a couple of joke skits that a couple streamers did, not unlike Brennan's content as they were obviously just trying to be funny. That caused a few isolated cases of kids being poisoned because it brought attention to these jokes, but without the context of them being jokes. It wasn't a wide spread issue, ever, though the news did fuck up some kids because of their poor reporting.
Fun Fact: Brennan once did an improv rendition of the “Spiraling CEO” on an episode of Dimension 20: A Starstruck Odyssey, that was just as unhinged and chaotic as the original videos.
@@pixelbrady If memory serves it's the first episode of Starstruck Odyssey where as part of Emily's character's backstory (robot maid Sundry Sidney) the CEO of a major robotics firm asks why the 'personal assistant' android has among other attachments and abilities, a minigun for an arm?

For anyone who’s curious: blue raspberry is just raspberry flavor. So, a long time ago a popsicle company was trying to find a shade of red for their new raspberry flavor which could be distinguishable from the other red colored popsicles they already had (strawberry, watermelon, cherry, etc.) but they couldn’t find one so they decided to just color it blue and thus blue raspberry was born. Also, tumblr banned nsfw content, not because they couldn’t run ads on the site, but because many financial institutions refuse to do business with websites that host nsfw content. It’s the same reason OF tried to ban nsfw content at one point. And since tumblr didn’t really police its user generated content or have any semblance of a moderation team, they were one WallStreet Journal exposé away from losing their ability to use banks. It ended up tanking the website so, ironically, they have no use for banks now

Back in my day, the kids raised on handheld tech were waaay smarter than well adjusted kids who had attentive parents. They even got mocked for being geeks, that’s the whole stereotype lol. Of course then comes the lifetime of working through trauma but swings and roundabouts
Because tech companies hadn’t yet caught onto the fact that kids are amazing to market to and are amazing for engagement. And that all engagement -can- *MUST* be turned into profit. Blaming Tide for aesthetics and not teens being dumb is one of the most wild takes Edit: That’s dumb as saying bottled chemicals look and comes out like syrup, that toilet scent fresheners look like candy, or that all powders are fun dip and sugar
To be fair, that video was made before the actual Tide Pod Challenge happened, when the issue was children and disabled people mistook them for actual candies and ate them. The Challenge came later when the internet took videos like this 'Dont eat Tide Pods' video, turned it into a meme/joke like 'hehe don't ead the tide pods guys, they look delish but don't do it' or 'eat the forbidden fruit, I dare you', at which point the media reported that people dared others to eat tide pods for clout, and the rest is teen history.

Me: *Smugs* Nope
Alicia: Cowgirls are Girls with big cow booba
Me: *smugs more* YUP, (Next she's gonna say cow bikini)
Alicia: With multiple massive utters that slope to the ground, Multiple.
Me: Nope Nope, NVM Not the same thing we talking about
Responding to the first 40 seconds, theres a reason most of the rest of the world wasnt as aware with this trend, and its the same reason kinder eggs are mainly only banned in the US - most non-american children are smart (or street-smart) enough to know not to eat the thing that came out of a cleaning box.
Oh my god, two of my favorite people in the world in one video??!! 🤩
I literally stopped everything I was doing to watch this immediatly! 😁
I generally like College Humor and Brendan is my favorite celebrity dungeon master. He seems chill.
YES! HOORAY, their stuff is awesome, I'm so glad you did a reaction for it!
Brennan Lee Mulligan is a comedic genius. I recommend you watch a compilation of his best rants.
And now I got to the part where you've seen his Dimension20 DMing.
Yeah, you know all about Brennan 😂
i wish she had reacted to more of these
I like how Alicia predicts all the jokes, but when it comes to the vape baby mobile it takes her like 10 full seconds to realize how horrible it is lol. 😂
Every generation had Tide Pod challenges
There's a reason why there's a kid drowning symbol on 5 gallon buckets
God I love him. Always damn hilarious
Brennan Lee Mulligan is phenomenal in just about everything he does. My favorite CEO videos are gofundme and Oreos. XD
I'm actually getting a 'contact low' from how stressed out he is acting
6:29 I love the chat at this point of the video. 😂
Tumblers still going strong. Most wholesome social media ive seen other then Pintrest. Alot of it is now Comic Artists.
I mean you're not wrong that it's still around.
"Strong" is the objectively wrong part though. By comparison to pre-purge numbers, it's current engagement is far far less.
You are right though, far more wholesome.
The people left are dedicated to the niche ... but strong ? Nah ...
It’s cause most the crazies went to Twitter and Reddit

Numbers are down, but average user retention is probably way higher tbh. Like, the people on there now seem more invested in Tumblr as a social interaction website than as a political argument forum and diet r34 catalog.
The first alcoholic beverage i drank was a Blue Razz from Pineapple Willy's, so obviously there is an Adult market for Blue Raspberry flavored stuff.
Blaming Tide for aesthetics and not teens being dumb is one of the most wild takes
Edit: That’s dumb as saying bottled chemicals look and comes out like syrup, that toilet scent fresheners look like candy, or that all powders are fun dip and sugar
For anyone wondering, some octopus have male reproductive organs as a part of their tentacles, so thats what the octopus gets out of it lmao
I find it hilarious whenever people say that tumblr "died." I was there before and after the ban, and let me tell you, now that most of the annoying people are gone, the site's never been better.
I sometimes forget how wild twich chats can get, legit they gave off major "lets make the streamer drink to forget" menace energy
Brennan lee mulligan is a fucking gift to the internet
I laughed so hard, and so much. Please, do another one of these soon!
OMG BRENNAN LEE MULLIGAN, BEST DUNGEON MASTER OF OUR TIME. THE GOAT.
The Juul one was my absolute favorite. I was so cracked by the “war crimes” line first time that I had to stop watching it. 😄
I fucking love Brennan and seeing this just makes me extremely happy
"well the dragons are scalies" and it gets said immediately after. incredibly funny that the hive mind is activating in these moments
I was going to say something about "if you like these, you should check out D20," but I guess you already watch it. Truly a woman of culture. Out of curiosity, what is your favorite season? I like pretty much all of them, but Fey and Flowers, Starstruck Odyssey, and Mice and Murder are probably my favorite. It's SO hard to choose though
I love Brennan's work too. Your reactions were super fun. Like watching the videos again with a friend. I really hope you react to more of his content :)
The Tidepods challenge wasn't actually a real thing, as far as I remember. It was more accurately a meme that the boomer media amplified into reality. I've only heard of one person actually doing it, and even then nothing actually concrete about how or why.
9:47 Ti quote my favorite meme: "Be the American the Japanese think you are."
