When in the menu and having to traverse the one hundred beeps back to zero, try pressing both the middle buttons simultaneously. It should jump to zero instantly.
This is insanely helpful. It’s so cool how full-featured the RC4GS is. My V3 happened to already have the options so I didn’t even have to do the firmware update, though I probably will at some point. I couldn’t get the exact settings you used to work on my 1080 and the throttle trigger for some reason doesn’t cancel the cruise control for me, but it’s going to be an insanely useful feature on the trail nonetheless. Thanks again!
Hadn't thought about setting up a deadzone like that, would help against accidents. And interesting to see that the v2s dont have the same options as the v3s
You can go to the dual rate setting, and program any free button to bump your throttle up to x % that you set it to. So you can just touch the button once, and cruise control goes, hit the button again, cruise control turns off. I have my winch on my VR knob, with channel 4 set as my dual rate to basically turn the VR knob from 100% each way, to 0% each way, with a click on the channel 4 button
That's kinda how using the IDLUP works as well. The only way to get "variable" cruise is to steal from two buttons-- well, a button and the knob-- but as I guy whose hands are usually full of stuff between the shop and the course, the PMIX setup is brilliant.
I currently do not own a Radiolink, but may have to get one to try this feature out. It seems like a fairly good deal at $65 bucks for a 5 channel radio.
And as I found out this afternoon, you can buy the wheel assembly (with the switches) for the RC6 for $15, and it bolts right up, making the radio a 7 channel. Sure, you can buy an RC6 for the same money as an RC4 + the wheel assembly, but I already have like... eight RC4s. So I'm ahead of the game!
One of my favorite RC things of over, the Kimbrough Scalloped Wheel Grip, KIM134. They are discontinued (no one knows why) and if you can find one you have truly done some magic.
Kimbrough Racing Products KIM134, the "scalloped wheel grip." For whatever reason, they are discontinued. I bought what I think are the last 5 in the world a few months ago.
Absolutely. I would mix the winch channel with the VR knob so that I could toggle the winch on and off, and then use the VR to control the speed/direction.
I like the topics you cover but trying to watch a 40+ min video is tough. Not trying to be negative I just think you would benefit more and get more views by cutting the video time in half or even down to 15 mins.
Hey, this one was only 17 minutes, that's gotta count for something. 😉 I come from the position that, well, for one I don't script, so concision is out the window-- but I also don't really trust a 10-minute review with 50 cuts in it. Time in edit can make look a winner, and I'm more about the process.
Bobby it sounds like you need to go back to watching TikTok we're not here to watch little baby videos on RUclips I know lots of people including myself that'll stop watching if the videos are shorter than 40 minutes which I think is too short anyway I don't like looking for a video every 5 seconds and it just means that you don't care enough to actually make a long enough video to put the detail that's needed in a video If you can't find time to watch a 40 minute or a hour video in a entire day you're in the wrong hobby sir
Super cool, i like that the trigger will still override the cruise setting 👍
Yeah, the "limited" version on the V2 is actually kinda cool in that it can be overridden.
Excellent timing. My rc6gs will be delivered today for my trx4 😊

I know it’s been a minute since you posted this but thank you very much… I set my cruise up with ease. “Thanks”

That is very helpful, thank you for sharing! I just setup my rigs for cruise control on the VR dial now.
Thankyou for this. Its made the decision between Flysky and Radiolink on radio purchase.
Thanks!
I was wondering how to make that work.
Just what I needed ! I've been using a RC6GS V3 for months but never found a way to set it up for cruise control.
It's gotten to the point where any time I'm driving a rig cruise out to the course I'm like... ugh.
Glad you got it all figured out, happy cruising

What a useful video, thanks!
This video is knowledge 🙏😎💯
The stock traxxas radio has cruse control
Alright, I gotta know... From where did you acquire the wheel for your transmitter?

@@CrawlerCanyon like all great things, unobtainable. Thanks for the reply and all of your content.
What is the rubber thing you replaced the original steer wheel foam with?

Can this be used to cotrol a winch?
Absolutely. I would mix the winch channel with the VR knob so that I could toggle the winch on and off, and then use the VR to control the speed/direction.
@@CrawlerCanyon awesome ill have to figure out how to do that, thanks for the info.

Uh...this is only 15 minutes long. WHERE'S THE HOUR LONG VIDEO I'VE COME TO EXPECT! (jk/jk)
Hey I agree we need hour long videos !
