    I bought this radio based on your V2 video. I love its nostalgic form factor. I find this radio very reliable. I use it on my CrossRC AT6 (which I also bought based off your AT4 review) and ZD Racing EX07. The accuracy is awesome and I recommend this transmitter/receiver to anyone. The antenna is bulky but it doesn't get in the way of my phone when its in the phone mount and the antenna is in the up position.

    I have v2 6gs with the 7ch reciever. Awsome radio I agree that it is bulky and not much to look at. But all the function is there. I learned something new I had no idea that my truck wouldnt run away while have multiple trucks on and paired at once. Thanks for keeping the channel going still learning everyday!

    Thanks for sharing. I just got into 1/10 scale drifting. I finally got all my components to assemble my car. As for transmitters, I was planning on getting a Spectrum G5 but heard about the Flysky Noble. It is a pricy unit. I did find and buy a Flysky Noble from Banggood. It was $185 free shipping as of 10/1/2023. So I bought it. I see neat stuff on it but I'll eventually see if it is good as it looks.

    I recently bought one of these and I am so far very happy with it. Having battery telemetry and low voltage alarms make some of my older models run lipos with no worries. Also the micro receiver that they sell for under $20 is very nice for the 1/24 stuff that I occasionally run. Also the radio adjustable built in gyro is great for my slippery tire drift cars.

    I agree it would be good to see an entirely new housing for this radio. I say they should adapt a housing similar to the now Defunt Nomadio React or even the Sensor, though the React with updated touch screen would be killer. Id buy one for 150 no problemo if they did that!
    I used to run JR/KoProCo and then Nomadio but got out in 2012. Since getting back in my V2 Radiolink is my GOTO radio.
    May grab a v3 just to have 2 (bought a V1 and upgraded to the v2 when it came out so sold the V1).

    Ive been on sanwa for a while, mainly because I got an MT-s and MT4 for a good deal way back when. Now Im invested. I do really like the look of the Noble as well as that furitek radio system. Honestly though, I've been super disappointed in the tech and price of surface radios after diving down the rabbit hole of fpv drones. On that side of things for $150 you get a radio that has a range measured in miles, 16 channels, fully upgradable and programmable beyond belief, and a radio link thats faster than anything else, rechargeable lipo built in, and hall sensor inputs. Ive been dreaming of an open source ELRS based surface radio project for a minute now, along with an equally well equipped esc+rx control board on the vehicle side of things.

    •  2 года назад +1

      I have had the same dream for that surface radio for years. I am still waiting.. 9+ channel, open os that is updatable, good screen with clear menus, module for different protocols, reasonable priced receivers.
      I think the problem is other radio manufacturers don't see $$ to be made in an upscale surface radio market that's controlled by spektrum (not really upscale), Sanwa, and Futaba. Nearly every rc car is now a rtr with a controller, and unless those buyers buy multiple cars they don't care about another radio. And typically they get a radio from the brand car they are buying... Horizon vehicles = (spektrum) even though most horizon vehicles don't have real spektrum compatible receivers, Traxxas = Traxxas radio with plugin that allows multi models on a radio. The Chinese brand stuff is typically not compatible with anything or has combined esc receivers which means trash all the electrics, so just use what it comes with.
      Buyers that buy race cars (not bashers) will most likely only buy Sanwa or Futaba.
      For us that don't want to drop $80 to 100 on each receivers, want a radio that looks good, feels goods, has a nice menu system, and can do anything.... We have to give up something because it doesn't exist. The flysky Noble is probably the closest thing but the built in battery is a no go, and lack of modules mean at some point it will be left behind.
      I would keep using my ancient Futaba 3pks with a fasst module but the cheap clone receivers have become impossible to find, or they falsely claim they work for fasst C1 modules. I gave up and got a radiolink V3 just because of the radio price, receiver price, model memory, and more than 5 channels. The screen and menu system are beyond ancient (my 20yr old Futaba is better) but at least i will not have a fortune in it if the dream radio ever become reality.

    • @gvngoheavy
      @gvngoheavy 2 года назад

      @ well put. Ultimately I feel like my dream radio and control system would totally have to be a community based project like am32, elrs, openvtx, or opentx. I feel like Im just going to have to wade in and diy something. Hack up a betafpv lite radio, then build an adafruit feather based controller that piggybacks an am32 esc and elrs rx. Its all doable I just need to find the brain space to figure it all out :/

    V2 has 7cnl as well as Telemetry on it with them. Thats what I currently run. The biggest diff in V2 and V3 is the 30 model memory (though it looks like you still have only 10 rxs capable with different memory banks on each to make up the 30 capable cars according to what I read).
    My V2 gets almost 1/4 mile. I have a 3s pack in it.

  • @kyhonjan
    @kyhonjan 2 года назад

    I have the V2 and it's good value especially the receiver battery and ship battery voltage telemetry which is great for crawlers that have hours of run time which can be monitored on the transmitter itself. Had a few problems with the V2 though that bugged me which I hope V3 has ironed out.
    First of all the V2 although it had an low voltage alarm, did not have low voltage protection for lipo or idle alarm. So if you forget to switch off the transmitter the transmitter will operate past the low TX voltage alarm till the batteries are dead and if your using lipo batteries this would quickly destroy them.
    Also found the steering center moves after a bit of use because the potentiometer itself moves inside it's enclosure. Can be fixed if you hot glue the potentiometer in place.
    The issues made me invest on a Futaba 4PM at triple the cost just works every time no real complaints after 5 months casual use except the stock battery holder is an odd 3 cell AA dry battery only! If you want to use NiMH rechargeable you will need to buy optional 4 cell AA holder and hack the battery bay because of the low voltage limit is set too high for NiMH 3 cell; or off course get the proprietary Life battery.😜

    I sure would like to know how to set the end points for steering with the flip of a switch. I was on a forum where a Radiolink tech was helping people and he said it couldn't be done. The tech guy might even have been the owner or designer of Radiolink. In one part of your vid. you state it can be done. Thankyou

      Hi, RC6GS V3 support switch to flip end points, you could go to menu EPA to set a switch for flip. We also have dual rate funtion, you could set 1 channel as 2 different value and set a switch to change them.

      @@RCReviewChannel yea they need to change some setup features programming wise but once you figure it out its so capable and the 8ch rx has even more range but the id seed is the bomb, can drive all your rc on the tx without toching the model. And i also run crossfire with it. But i like pulling my sonic wake with my gen 8 to the creek back in the water drive the boat come back load on trailer and drive away not once touching either rc just turn them on. Soon i will have internet and post some vids. Tanks escavators etc this radio does it all.and yes i wish they just made it the 8 ch. The quality is in function and range.and its by far the most capable tx

    The perfomance and feature set is great , but the formfactor/ergonomics are horrible . If they could do a redesign of the ergonomics and maybe upgrade to a better screen and still stay close to the $100 price point then they would have a truly game changing radio . That being said , even with they poor formfactor/ergonomics , its still probably the best value for a newbie or somebody wanting to upgrade from an rtr . jmo , just sayin

    Absolute BS IMO. loads of software features they can easily add to V2 they just keep for V3; genuinely all this has from what I can gather they couldn't add through an update is the capacity to store more vehicles.
    Honestly this release genuinely has me on the lookout for either some FlySky, or inexpensive Spektrum stuff if I can find it.
    I have Radiolink receivers in all six of my RC's, so; great job you fools.
