There will never be another Led Zeppelin. They were consummate musicians, with a chemistry that was pure magic. They purposely didn't make singles, so that you would have to buy the entire album to hear the songs....but the WHOLE albums were great. They avoided the press for the most part. The aura of mystique that surrounds them is as strong today as it was in 1975. Jack Black said it best at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012, pointing to each surviving member for emphasis on the words: "BEST. BAND. EVER."

Well, that's why a lot if not most reaction channels that do Led Zep reactions make these videos. For the views and subs not out of sincere interest in hearing a legendary band. I'd prefer there to be a fraction of the Zeppelin reaction videos that are out there than to have channels riding on other's coattails. The band doesn't need the extra attention or exposure than it has already received for over half a century since its debut.

I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin so, yeah, I'm "old". Been listening to them for nearly 50 years, lucky me. Gotta say, never took drugs in my life so that's not a requirement to dig their music, or that of any other great rock band. ;)
me too, never took drugs..love them and appreciate them more as years go on. Just starting to really appreciate The Beatles now too; was too young when they were together. The genius of Page - Plant and McCartney - Lennon, nothing comes close.

Pure Rock Gods, both Jimmy and Robert. Amazing talent, every single one of them.
Now when you see us ‘oldies’ in our 60s, 70’s or 80’s you’ll know absolutely that back in the day, we were the epitome of COOL! And while Led Zeppelin were one of the best bands, there were many more. Cream had Eric Clapton arguably one of the best guitarists ever but in my opinion that accolade actually belongs to David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits and Brian May of Queen deserve honourable mention too. So check out those bands also. I suggest from Led Zeppelin, perhaps their most well known song Stairway to Heaven live at Madison Square Garden. Robert Plant is sex on two legs, and rumoured to wear the blouses of whichever girl he bedded the night before. I don’t know if that’s true, but he has some swag wearing the little blouse that’s for sure

Jimmy Page, the best, most creative spectacular to watch guitarist of all time. THE GOAT. No one plays like Page, evokes emotion like Page, produces, engineers writes like Page; every song different to the next, his acoustic is genius. Best Guitarist of ALL TIME. The energy he and robert put out, amazing. Couldn't pay me to watch boring Clapton. David Gimour didn't actually play difficult songs. Oh, and... just as many women (men too probably) loved and love Jimmy Page as they did - do Robert Plant. Page is gorgeous, sexy AF.
Led Zeppelin was like a chemical reaction that produced 1 of the biggest bands in the world... Each member brought something to the table, and together, they created a great band. They were an odd combo of 2 experienced musicians - Jimmy Page (guitar) & John Paul Jones (bass, keyboards) and 2 newcomers who were 20 yrs old in 1968 when Zeppelin was formed - Robert Plant (vocals) and John Bonham (drums)
Jimmy Page was in a British band called The Yardbirds in the 1960's, and when they split in 1968, he wanted to form a 'new' Yardbirds... Plant, Jones & Bonham comprised the new band and opted for a new name - Led Zeppelin (an inside joke about the new band crashing & burning)
In 1969, the band released their first album which had a few cover songs by American blues & folk artists... Page was a huge fan of 50's blues and 60's R&B music, and so was Plant... The 2nd Zeppelin album in 1969 scored 'Whole lotta love' as a huge hit ... 3rd album 'Led Zeppelin III' was a mostly acoustic record... But it was the 4th album 'Led Zeppelin IV' that became their biggest record (24 million copies sold in the US - top 5 biggest album of all time) w/ the epic song 'Stairway to heaven' in 1971. Led Zeppelin became the biggest band in the 1970's.
Unfortunately, Led Zeppelin endured a string of setbacks & tragedies... the band ended in 1980 after drummer John Bonham died from alcohol abuse... It was just not Led Zeppelin without all 4 members. Their numerous releases included 8 studio albums that still sell millions of copies today.
Robert Plant has been a solo artist since 1982, but plays a more subtle brand of adult rock music...
Proudly an old guy 👴 that grew up on this kinda stuff, and yes we did a little LSD, especially when chilling to Pink Floyd.

If you want to see very young, raw, live Led Zeppelin at their most primal, just wailing away, check out the live 1969 “Communication Breakdown Promo.” This will really show you how Zeppelin exploded out of the gate. And yes, definitely check out Stairway to Heaven. It is a masterpiece in its own right, and will show you a side of Led Zeppelin you’re not seeing here. The thing about Zeppelin is that once you start listening to them you go down a rabbit hole. There is such a diversity of musical styles, sounds, and approaches in their catalog, and even within a single album. And the level of talent of every single member of that band was top-tier IMO-the musicianship is outstanding.

I hate the way the subtitles are often wrong. It's 'Wanna whole lotta love' (as in 'I want a whole lotta love') not 'Want to whole lotta love' It sounds like someone turned the drum sound down on this one.

I got a kick out of hearing you say "I can see why people like to get high and listen to this music." I'm almost 59 now, and I can honestly say that most Zeppelin songs bring back memories of listening to their songs while I was high. You should really try it, and here's a tip: first off, their guitarist Jimmy Page said that of all their songs, his favorite was Kashmir. It just so happens that of every song I've ever listened to in my life, Kashmir is the one song I've listened to stoned than any other. That song is so perfect for that... almost like it was written specifically for listening to when you're high. If you've never done that, give it a try and share your impressions afterwards.

When I hear statements like "Kanye West is an artist a substance", I laugh...this is why! You both need to get a set of earphones to really appreciate classic rock and roll. Production was top notch and included a lot of panning that you don't quite get otherwise. Check out Pink Floyd and Steely Dan for some more incredible music!
