Every time I hear this song it makes me cry. I'm crying now just listening to it again. Everytime I go and see Adam Brand I take my Australian Flag and hold up each time he sings this song and many others of his because they're all so meaningful. I'm so ecstatic that when I saw him at a music festival that he saw my flag and wanted it to hold up in front of the whole crowd. That was such a special moment for me. Thanks Ads. I will always support you no matter what. Thank you for that beautiful moment in asking for the flag, about three, four years ago now, (I've lost count-but it was at Werribee Mansion). I send you my biggest Congratulations of your awards that you received on the CMC music awards. Very well deserved to you. I also thank you for your most beautiful amazing speech us BrandWagons!!!! Walked around the town alone today trying to find someone who remembers what today is about after reading that most today think it means celebrating war. 😮🤢 I was so desperate to prove my younger friend wrong - and while it may not be the case everywhere, I seriously hope not - all I found was proof it was. First was how people didn't step back to allow veterans in through the door and sort of shuned them, then there was being forced out by security at an RSL because I'm half blind and wasn't allowed in because of my glasses, then I tried to explain and got a young thing pretend a phone was ringing to cut me off mid sentence. I feel more alone and confused by what has become of something pivotal to my upbringing now turned ugly and forgotten. Least we forget. While some apparently already have. 😢
