I am a 59 year old LPN. I am currently a traveling nurse. I make $100,000 a year with four weeks off for recouperating at camp. I am looking for remote work because the 13 hour days and 2.5 hours of daily driving is burning me out. I cant afford to take a pay cut at this time. I also would like to work from the lake house. You make over $100,000/yr working 13hr days and driving 2.5hrs to and from work but can’t afford a pay cut? You’re GOING to take a pay cut if you haven’t already. You’re living outside your means. Remote LPN rarely exists.
I would move closer, that 2.5 hr is crazy. Or maybe look into furthering your education, it may be worth it, and I'm sure you are smart enough. I have my BSN, and have thought a lot about getting my DNP. It's only 3 more years of education, which, when you break it down, is not much. I'm not sure how much more for an Lpn. I would imagine no more than 5 years. Have you heard of "pals"? They are basically call center nurses who help coordinate care and care locations between Doctors.

Think about patients that need medical advice who are home bound or have limited access to transportation. How about people who live in remote areas where the nearest hospital is miles away. Remote care gives people access to services that previously weren't available.
Yes, they can. They just can’t do full head to toe first assessment but subsequent assessments they can do. I was an LPN for 10 years before I got my BSN.

Your experience should be in the US. The practices here are.way different than in Phils . It wouldn't be safe for.the patients nor for your US license.

I have my BSN, and have thought a lot about getting my DNP. It's only 3 more years of education, which, when you break it down, is not much. I'm not sure how much more for an Lpn. I would imagine no more than 5 years.
Have you heard of "pals"? They are basically call center nurses who help coordinate care and care locations between Doctors.

Remote nursing work is nearly impossible to get. I’ve been a rn for nearly 3 years and have been applying for the last year and a half. I have yet to land one even after hundreds of applications 😂😅

Speaking as a remote RN, I can tell you it is sometimes difficult to land a position if you have less than 3 years experience as a bedside nurse.
Its amazing to see the money that you can make as a registered nurse. It sucks to see any nurses dealing with environmental or psychosocial issues that impede their ability to make money.

Think about patients that need medical advice who are home bound or have limited access to transportation. How about people who live in remote areas where the nearest hospital is miles away. Remote care gives people access to services that previously weren't available.

Yes, they can. They just can’t do full head to toe first assessment but subsequent assessments they can do. I was an LPN for 10 years before I got my BSN.

Experience matters a lot. U can't just want a remote position having no.hands on Experience. Not safe for patients.or your license.
I would definitely recommend getting some bedside experience first! It will make you more competitive and provide more opportunities down the road!

Your experience should be in the US. The practices here are.way different than in Phils . It wouldn't be safe for.the patients nor for your US license.
