Sargeras summoning imps is the biggest insult to the character I've seen since they sealed him without a fight in WoW
Who is he in lore?
Basically one of the biggest bads in the game and the leader of the entire demon army
@@jaro168 he is jaraxxus´ boss
@@jaro168 Arguably the main antagonist of WoW, or at least one of the main antagonists
What do you want him to do? Fill the board with 900/900s?
Maybe they'll have more cards in the set that send and take minions from the void, and Sargeras will get more synergy from that.
Idk man, soulstealer is 8, I see twisting nether on a 6/12 stick with perma double 3/2's as pretty spicy. If warlock gets ANY reasonable board clears to really push into later game, it beats the priest and grindier matchups for freeeeeee.
If you REALLY think it's too slow, it's a board clear. If you're ever remotely even, you can slam infernals for 24/28 in stats.
Yeah I think this Is way underrated. Play it on nine to clear the board, get an immediate 12/16 in stats, not to mention the value. Assuming there are enough tools for Warlock to survive long enough this is a wincon and a board clear all in one.
@@alexparadise6121 Yeah, people are really underestimating him in my opinion, especially because the twisting nether is a puff effect, so you're basically getting a plague of death plus all that other upside. If you just manage to build a control deck that can get to turn 9, I think it's gonna be pretty bonkers.
Think of Sargeras as a 9 mana twisting nether that summons a 6/12 and a portal. That’s pretty good as a control card. Now is it gonna be enough for a grindy control deck to win? I don’t really think so but we’ll see.
What makes it strong compared to previous versions of this effect is that it’s on a single card. The problem is that almost all decks have access to super strong midrange tools these days, so playing a hard control deck with this as a wincon seems difficult.
I agree with Rarran, the warrior one seems strong. It’s generic and gives you a variety of board control tools.
But it has to live one turn to clear the board doesn't it? Can't really think of it like twisting nether since it won't clear the board when you need it to
In Wild you can board clear for 3 mana, in Standard it's really slow.
@@HackersRUsYou can use an ability the turn you play it, it will be just like twisting nether except the minions won't trigger deathrattle.
@@koldrix yeah figured that - times have really changed since I last played. I think Reynad puts it pretty well in the matches against Rarran when he says that every card now has either value or board presence stamped on.
@@HackersRUs All titans basically have charge, you're getting the ability right away the turn you play him.
Shaman titan is a 3 mana 5/7 draw 3 with even more upside, idk how my man just said "yeah this one's okay I expected better"
Everyone seems to be forgetting enrage warrior exists and it can buff the warrior titan into a massive meatball.
The druid one is also literally a 0 mana 5/7 and 5/5 taunt which i think is nuts.
So what? It can't go face for 3 turns
@@alexparadise6121there's more to the game than just hitting face with your minions
@@problempal5395 true, but we are talking about enrage warrior. On 6 you either want to be setting up lethal on board, or possibly buffing up something in hand. If you're gonna hand buff, wouldn't you rather be buffing a finisher like grom or Remonina or another charge minion to, you know, win the game? For all the enrage I've played I doubt this makes the cut unless the deck shifts to more midrange.
@@alexparadise6121 It does give face damage as well with two of its abilities.
Enrage warrior 100% doesn't want to buff this compared to their pseudo charge minions
I feel like you underestimate Sargeras.
Sargeras looks *almost* like a fanmade card and I mean that in the best way possible.
He's basically a Jarraxus, a Twisting Nether and a Nether Portal fused into one card *on top* of a big body.
The Primus's Blood ability is also *crazy* strong. It being generic does a lot for Rainbow DK as well.
11:38 Quest shaman (the double battlecry hero power) used to run Pit crocolisk, an 8 mana 5/6 with Battlecry: Deal 5 damage as a finisher. So if that got run then yes a 6 mana 3/8 would be run. 5 damage battlecries are worth alot.
I watch more from this channel than the other one now. It's refreshing to have this sort of frank, unfiltered opinion on something. Or at least not so filtered it becomes extra virgin.
Meta will most likely slow down a bit because of all these titans so Sargeras might be super spicy. Imagine this card in a priest matchup which I'm sure we will be seeing a lot of 😊
It a twisted neather with a 6/12 body for 1 extra mana and warlock have been know to cheat manas with discard and rod and deathrattle i think it fairly nice.
@@vanminhquan7223 u dont wanna cheat him though because then he's entirely useless. He needs his battlecry. I still think he's good because if you get to 9 you basically win
@@blamethefranchise1473 You can cheat him out by discounting his price, with rod for example as the other guy said. But yeah, you can't summon him or else he is useless
Sargeras really seems like the strongest of the bunch to me. With its only downside seeming to be that it's 9 mana and not all games go long. But I'd honestly already run a 9 mana poof type board clear in a control deck.
Getting a free portal as reward for choosing to completely wipe your opponents board from existence seems pretty strong to me.
No way the warrior one is better.
Imma be honest I wish Sargeras wasn't a demon type, you can't play both him and the big demon package (more so in wild) without having the possibility to whiff and pull him instead of other demons.
Do you get to activate Sargarus the turn he is pulled? If so that’s 6/12 and 2 6/6s?
@@stevanhaire5300 But since his portal is only created with the battlecry (and the portal need to exist for his abilities to do anything), if he is cheated out his abilities don't do anything.
@@GKplus8 and on top of that, since he's a Titan, he won't be able to even attack as long as he have abilities left to use, wich mean you literaly get fucked if you pull/randomly summon him.
to be fair a more accurate sargeras would be summon voidlords or infernals but like i dont see a way they do his character justice given how powerful he was as a character but like this ones fine because hes opening an infinite gateway to the twisting nether?
I completely agree, I think I'd rather prefer them being a different type of demon from imps (voidcallers/voidlords would be really fit for the taunt skill), but I think overall they did a pretty good job, especially cuz he's a win condition on his own.
Question: If you bounce a Titan, do their abilities refresh?
I think yes, cas they're still technically minions.
Nahhh Rarran is crazy for his Sargeras take
The warrior one with hand buffs or the one minion doubling stat seems a lot of fun
i think they all are good, as long as they survive one more turn after they are summoned the empowered abilities are very powerful
"Wait, I think the Warrior one is underrated" Freaking THANK YOU! I've been saying for so long that 6 mana deal 5 damage to face + potentially clear a minion is SO good!
Specially after the Riff turn!
i feel like you could just run full imp warlock with Sargeras as your top end kinda like when rafaam was run in zoo warlock. though even if this is good i dont know if it would even be better than curselock
I think you are underrating the shaman one ,it has great versatility and in combo with some low cost spells it becomes a pain the ass
The DK one is so versatile
Don't forget, if you do manage to get off Black-rock and Roll before playing the Warrior titan you have a 6 mana 12/12, 15/10, or 10/15. Still a big 'if' though, and not really something to rely on.
9:15 If that was a battlecry I would unalive myself.
It's really funny seeing old predictions for viability and comparing them with the hindsight of the future.
Sargeras turns out to be the third most played TITAN, in no small part because of Symphony as Rarran predicted, but also because of Thaddius
Golganneth sees almost no play, in big part because Shaman can somehow do even better stuff than what he can offer
Aggramar is a solid finisher for aggro Hunter, and definitely not as bad as the initial assumptions
And Argus just...before I watched this video again, I forgot that Argus even existed
All of these titans are just must kill minions with good immediate effects. I really like that direction for the design of the main expansion cards. I quit playing the game in United in Stormwind but prior to that I played since beta and got top 100 legend every month after the ladder got reworked to have ranks, and for me metas where the center cards were hero cards or quests were absolutely insufferable. They are non interactable, too good, and too central to the deck building. It might just be because I played a crap load, but those metas got stale in a matter of a week. Mayyyybe with another week resurgence of fresh ideas after people experiment with other lists.
Im sure the design team has it rough because from a casual for-fun perspective things like DK Rexxar are 10/10, but from a competitive stand point I would give it like... a 2/10.
right...
saying shaman titan is just good was a big laugh
i agree on the hunter ,seems really strong ,but if it starts to see a lot of play we are going to see the weapon removal in every deck which may kill it,so that makes it a bit weaker then the others ,but at the same time if they don't have the answer you win, the deon hunter seems good, if you can mantain a small board or summon some small minion with rush you can fight for board and regenerate
imagine runes of blood with like a priests minion who is doubled in health/attack and just going 1000 health on a minion and ur hero lmao
mmm my question is why is sargeras a warlock card and not a demon hunter card ? I mean illidan kind of played a lot with his eye to kill the lichking
Devs could some point make keyword when the card appears "on board", then the effect triggers. Basically battlecry but better.
paladin titan would be funny with red herring
As much as i like them printing powerful cards that impacts the game, i feel there is waaaay to many legendaries and epics in standard atm that is game defining warlock being the worst offender, which is ironic considering Rarran started as a f2p lock. I get they wanna make money and it could be worse but 4 legendaries being the default for like every class can be a turn off since they are often just objectivly stronger than any potential replacement.
priest is only 7 cost and has the abilty to counter every other titan just removing him from game xD
What is rarran on about???? This card clears the enemy board if you are behind summons crazy minions if you are leading and has an infinite value generator. It’s a crazy good card and the fact that its 9 mana suck but it’s more than reasonable
I don’t think sargeras is a bad card, It’s just that warlock is in such a bad place that it kinda needed a titan that was super OP for the class to see play and I don’t think sargeras does enough
it is Warlocks Mograine/Svalna, but even better.
He is insane in slower matchups which will let you include more antiaggro tools
He’s summoning 2 3/2s on both players turn. It’s crazy strong which is why you can’t cheat it out easily.
People also forget warrior has buff cards
How is Sageras a bad card? You either cast Twisting Nether for 1 extra Mana while at the same time getting a 6/12 and two trash imps each turn -which sounds incredible to me. And if you dont need a Twisting Nether because you fight against a control deck or whatnot, then you can just summon taunts for the rest of the game to permanently annoy your opponent or get two 6/6s - which to be fair doesnt sound that amazing, but it is still 24/28 worth of stats for 9 mana. Can't really complain.
The most outrageous part is him having the audacity to say the warrior titan is better, like STFU.
let's just not forget that for warlock titan end of each turn means end of EACH turn
It's only your turn. The portal card itself specifies that.
Everyone in analyzing forget about upgrading next ability when use 😁
Fresh cut mr Rarran
Yea idk why people are sleeping on the hunter one. Any agressive deck would kill to have 15 damage over three turns, and hunter is literally THE class to play aggro with.
To add to that, the paladin one is quite scary as well. It reminds me a lot of Level up, cuz +2/+2 is scary. If an aggressive version of paladin takes off, it will be a very scary late game finisher.
Honestly, the demon hunter is pretty terrible except for the massive amount of manacheating.
The one that so far disappoints me the most is the warrior one. It isn't 'bad' by any means, but I wish they gave warrior something new to work with. The class has been lackluster for a very long time, and armor gain is generally a very boring class identity. The powerlevel of warrior has also been relatively low (although the buffs to riffs did increase the winrates quite a lot.
The warlock one is interesting. It seems like the effect is overestimated quite a lot; it doesn't finish the game for 9 mana, and although 3/4 with taunts being summoned every turn is annoying, its pretty okay to deap with. Really hope for some interesting tools for warlock, as us warlock mains had a rough time the last few expansions.
Not much to add about the shaman, priest and death knight one. They are all very solid cards, and especially the priest one is a auto include in all decks except aggro (as Rarran mentioned).
Mage is a bit disappointing, it's third ability to summon secrets really holda it back from being great.
some of these titans will be in creature type discover pools, no?
You can't discover generate or ebolve into titans
Rarran is the first warlock main that I see doesn't like Sargeras. Meanwhile, I don't like Sargeras because he should be an absolute monster, at least being able to summon all kind of demons. Seriously, for someone who knows WoW lore, the titans look way too lackluster and the worst part is how three of them makes no sense.
The paladin one is an OC, on a race that can't have OCs because we already know there's only a few of them, but they still wanted a black token because modern Blizzard, the DK one is a character unrelated to titans (in his case, is like saying Denathrius is a titan too), and the rogue one is not a titan, but a warden, so at least that one makes a bit of sense. Hell, they could have used a warden for both paladin and DK, but nah, why would Blizzard follow their own lore nowadays.
something else about sageras, he has the demon tag so voidcaller is synergystic if you can go without the bc
You mean I can void caller on T4 to get a 6/12 "do nothing for the next 3 turns", AMAZING!!!
@@kevinseraphin5456do Nothing until silenced not just 3 turns because you can't activate titan abilities if they n't able to do anything
@@raphaelunger3057 oh you can't? that's even worst than I tought xD
Rarran really said the shaman titan was bad wtf
No he didn't
I know the classes are wrong, but imagine playing that weapon Titan on 7 mana - 6 on the minion, 1 on a kingsbane....stuff of nightmares.
legion invasion doesnt specify that its ur own cards, so doesnt that kind of defeat the purpose of a card like that? Considering if ur ever in a mirror match ur jsut buffing ur opponent as well?
Khaz'gorath is a pile of temp and stats, which is what the current Warrior decks want anyways. Still might not be playable if menagerie warrior needs minions with tags.
the paladin one would have been great if it didn't have taunt
To quote another person (props to chundo)
2017: I will play Lakkari sacrifice to open a portal that summons two 3/2 imps.
2021: I will play Neeru Fireblade to open a portal that summons two 3/2 imps.
2023: I will play Sargeras the Destroyer to open a portal that summons two 3/2 imps.
Does Amitus effect counts himself and he has 8health which makes him very durable
Sargeras could be played with Thadius warlock
Sad that they couldn't make the card "create a twisting nether (portal, whatever) that resummons 2 minions that were destroyed in the nether". That would make both twisting nether copies, and the nether he uses, really really useful. We know the imps are just weak.
how the fuck could the warlock titan be too slow? forget the taunt ability, u get to wipe the entire board and then put up a 6/12 that MUST be dealt with. no board centric deck is able to recover from that much of a swing turn and still be able to keep up with the permanent board presence u get from the portal. and yes u definitely can get to turn 9 lol. Meta isnt even that fast rn anyways and it doesn't seem like this expansion will change that.
8 mana deal 6 to an enemy and 4 to all aint bad in deathknight
I think the mage one is the worst one so far. A 6 mana 3/8 that does 5 damage is good in arena, but in standard it's not. Yes, it's a better firelands portal, but you don't run firelands portal because it's too slow. And yes you have potential for more but like every titam it's really unlikely it will survive to the next turn. That's why the hunter one is so good. You play it and you get a 5/3 weapon even if your opponent insta kills it, that's already 15 damage over 3 turns.
The warrior one is bad because you have to play warrior.
Yeah naw the shaman titan is just the nuts (at base it's a superior harmonic pop) no shot it's just "fine"
I think those titans should be on a side board and only get into battle when exhausted their abilities
7:25 nah you are WILD for saying this card isnt that good, it has a built in cost reduction for spells, its first ability is a holy nova but 10x better, 20 dmg to a minion can be an anti titan usage, and drawing 3? when most the time the overload ur drawing are spells and in turn makes one of them cost 3 less. thsi card is giga broken
2:30 And you Cant play Fanottem in order for Pride to work this is how not tought out is this card
Pacified is obviously bad, aura becomes useless, and that idiot can't even kill minions she made weaker.
Cant wait for Rarren to once again be extremely wrong on all his predictions and then flip when he gets crushed by the titans he underrated.
Though I think he's right that they are 1. Auto includes 2. Not much more effective than regular cards.
IMPact ba dum tch
Warrior one is actually ass, I would have much rather have a super expensive big effect like Sargeras than this trash one, and you compare this with the shaman Titan and you’re just crying such a huge loss in potential
I much prefer blizzard keep supporting imp warlock then keep going in a million actively unsynergistic directions whenever they don’t support imp warlock.
9 mana card isnt really an aggro support is it?
Rarran's inability to pronounce stuff is never not amusing.
