- Hello and welcome to the Everything is Black and White podcast.
We've got a special transfer episode for you as Newcastle United step up their summer business.
A new signing is close, while players continue to be linked with moves away. Newcastle United editor Aaron Stokes has the latest.
So if we don’t sell before PSR deadline in 3 days does that mean busting the rules and getting a points deduction?😮 Q: why would Brighton help us oot by buying? imo take it and keep Minteh
Excellent rundown. Minteh seems to be the only option, at the moment, to provide funds for any perceived gap in our FFP/PSR requirement. However we're not 100 % sure that exists and that it hasn't been fulfilled elsewhere, because from your analysis there is a high probability that Newcastle are not getting £40m, or even close to that - which for a player who did well in a few months in a league the equivalent of our Championship on the whole, is a more realistic assessment. As you say, other transfers are not likely to happen until after the deadline of June 30, and we have never really known what figure Newcastle were in 'debt' for. So it could be a worrying three days or the board already have it covered, but the willingness to sell Minteh suggests not.
It is troubling whats happened on the revenue side and balancing the books. Both undermine my faith in the efficacy of the new owners and management. Troubling. Hopefully I am wrong.
DCL is on high wages not reflective of his actual performance. The reason it broke down and rightly so is because he wouldn't take a cut which is understandable. I expect him to stay Everton until his contact expires
If we are signing a RW then selling Miggy & Murphy would make more sense to me, get Minteh some minutes. On the other hand maybe the staff don't think he will live up to the hype and selling him now is smart.
Almiron wouldnt leave. But to be fair his signing alone wouldnt cover PSR. Lyon bid for 40m shows the value other clubs see. And it is reinforce by Brighton who appear to get the better deal
About 80% of people on forums didn't want DCL at the club and that was for the banded price of around 20 million. The price of above 37 million is absolutely laughable. You can't polish a turd. No one wants him
Very good review, may turn out to be all wrong but at least he tried to join the dots
Wouldn't say exciting, Need first team players also we'd prob just sell him on for profit without him even kicking a ball for Newcastle..
Carlton Morris and Ogbene from Luton cheap and worth a look. Jake O Brien from Lyon looks a cracking RCB. There is bargains to be had if we look in the right places.
Why am I just finding this channel
