Mas kabahan ka sa observtion ni principal at MT kesa sa demo sa JET kasi sa JET sandaling sandali lang and walang mga masyadong comment, hehehe. Wala po akong solong video about how to resign sa deped pero nabanggit ko na sa ibang videos ko at sa mga live yata. Di ko na maalala kung saan dun.

Remember that not all applicants are going to do the demo teaching ha? Only those who pass the 1st screening will. And yes, the applicants choose their own demo topics.
Sir, is it okay to use direct Japanese translations for the english words you're trying to introduce? Or do they follow English-Only Policy considering that it's an english class?
In a real Japanese classroom, it's difficult to not use Nihongo to explain things. But it's not the ALT's job to translate. The Japanese teacher of English does. Though I sometimes do it, lol.

Hello po! For the demo teaching po, any topic will do kasi the level of English taught to JHS is very elementary. It can range from the simple "I am ___." or "Are you ____?" to verb tenses and modals. So kung di ka po sure kung Japanese JHS level ba yung naiisip mong topic or not, sabihin mo na lang Grade 6 or Grade 7 (ng Pilipinas) lesson yun.

Hi sir. Since it'll be the first time that the Embassy will be conducting its second screening via online, in your opinion, is it preferable to have it the traditional way or through PPP, or some sort of an online class set up? Thank you in advance.
I think using ppt is better since there is a screen sharing feature of zoom, if that is what the committee will be choosing as the medium. And I think it's more difficult and inconvenient to do it "traditionally".
Hello! Yes, you will be asked to write your own (original) lesson plan. If you opt to use a sample online, make sure to study it and familiarize all parts because the panel might ask you about it. My suggestion is: you can base your lesson plan on existing LPs but modify it according to the JET program goal (ie, language and cultural exchange).

Every year po nagbubukas ang application for JET Programme. Ang advise po namin lagi sa mga aspiring applicants, habang hindi pa open, pwedeng umpisahan na ang pagprepare ng requirements para konti na lang ang aayusin kapag open na.
Yung mga Japanese teachers po, hanggang 5PM yata ang official time nila. Pero karamihan nag-oovertime. So umuuwi sila 6PM ang earliest. Yung iba inaabot ng 7 or 8PM. Tapos yung iba, pumapasok even Saturday or Sunday lalo na yung mga may hawak na sports clubs.

@erikajeannemoslares3816 if you do the in-person demo teaching, they don't provide projector po kaya if you want to make a PPT presentation for your lesson, you may do so for your reference lang po. But you can use the whiteboard.

Try mo po magpasa. If you want, you can take online TEFL or TESOL certificates pandagdag sa teaching qualifications mo. You can finish one before the deadline on Nov 11.

Hindi naman required ang Nihongo at IELTS pero advantage mo kapag meron ka. Pag nag-apply ka, sigurado akong pasok ka sa banga.

In the "face to face" demo teaching, yes, you can have note cards. I just don't know how it was done with the 2021 batch.

During the pandemic po, online. Pero yung recent batches (2022, 2023), resume na po sila sa in person demo teaching at interview sa Embassy.
