I volunteered as a Teacher's Assistant in the ESL classes at my university and local elementary school, and I had fun being the teacher's helper and students' speaking partner, but whenever I had to lead a lesson or something I came up with on my own I got really nervous and froze up. I'm kind of scared to do this now...

Hello po panu po yung demo teaching kung nag aapply palang say nakapasa na sa 1st screening ng application po. Anu po ginawa niyo? Wala po akong clue niyan kasi wala po akong experience sa teaching.. It would be a great help po sa mga walang experience sa teaching kung mag u-upload po kayo ng tips kung panu ipasa yung sa demo teaching sa embassy. Salamat po! Great video by the way!

they let you use japanese when teaching english? i thought they were pretty strict on NO JAPANESE to be used in class. also, what if the kids dont engage too much, just keep the energy and continue as if they are?
70-80% of the class is taught in Japanese unlike in PH. 😉 I was surprised when I came here 4 yrs ago, but yeah that's just how it is. 😅 I usually use Japanese in my elem classes to make learning easier for the kids.

The JTE usually introduces the objectives. I'm more on the activities that help achieve the goals. 🙂

Do they have transportation system In Japan po. What if kasi d ka pa marunong magdrive and wala ka kotse.
Yup, some ALTs use the bus, subway, local train, or even bikes to go to there schools.
