Too soon. Intelligent Systems has been busy with too many games in the last year and half (Fire Emblem Engage, Wario Ware Move It and Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door), there's no way they handled another FE game in the meantime, so if that remake exists, it won't come before the next console)

I was lucky to get on of my favorite games in the series redone, in SoV. I would like the next one to be Holy Wars/Thracia 776 dual game. And others want the Tellius pair. I could do both I guess.

-trailer/announcement: October '24
-release date: March '25
IF it's coming in march, they may as well wait until january for the reveal.
I doubt they'd overshadow the last holiday dedicated to Switch.

I just can't see how they will sell 13.5 million Switch for the next year without big games or astounding price reduction.
Nothing short of a miracle game lineup would let them reduce the decline so much. They are 100% going to do a price cut.
Look odds are little to none, but WW & TP are still a possibility if they are holding out the switch successor to next year and possibly later.

When you look at these Japanese men in suits and their strategic and self-protective business speeches, you begin to understand why Nintendo legally pursues everyone over intellectual property issues. At these times I can't see the magic that we find in Zelda and Mário, but just a company wanting money and lots of it.

My guess is a January/February 2025 reveal with a May 2025 launch. I think Nintendo used Zelda TOTK's May 2023 launch to test the waters for release timing.

Switch 2 reveal in February would be hard to wait for, but the arguments make sense. Also… This Zelda Dual pack, I’m not sure it’s real xD I’d honestly love a deep dive about this specific rumor to see where it stems from. I remember it being mentioned around the previous Zelda anniversary the first time, but I’m not 100%.

It just occured to me that this will be one of the last Switch Directs before the next system comes out. The chances of FINALLY seeing Metroid Prime 4 never have been higher now

@@codezero7981 Mario is more fitting as a Switch 2 exclusive, Metroid is more niche and should tap into the established player base (it may still release after launch).
There's something you guys should be awared of about the next June's Direct guys: almost every first and second party studio of Nintendo has released a big game in recent times, which means that right now they're working on the next console. The only studio that hasn't released anything in recent times is Retro Studios, which is working on Metroid Prime 4. So either the latter is revealed on the next Direct, or the whole thing will be a waste of time. There's just no hope for something big to be announced at it. Keep this in mind to avoid a disappointment...
You should let go. The accident was 10 years ago. Metroid Prime 4 isn't going to happen. Well I say that but you could be right but I just want to joke around ngl
I wasn't much hyping up Metroi Prime 4, as much as warning the fans to keep their expectations in check for the next Direct. Nintendo has given everything they could for this console, now they've moved all of their sources on the next one. So don't expect anything big from the next Direct (unless for some miracle MP4 does appear again)
I hope they bring out Twilight Princess HD and Wind Waker HD on Switch to tide us over until the new console launch

Honestly? I just want Nintendo to allow some DLC's for their older stuff. I've always been behind on consoles due to money issues and I wanna play some games that aren't available anymore. :(
also, before the launch of TotK you mentioned that Zelda is typically a launch title for the new consoles, so you can similarly count the new console bringing a new Zelda game.
As far as the June Nintendo Direct goes in terms of upcoming games: After seeing your TOTK Master Works video today...maybe... *_just one more_* excursion through the Era of the Wilds Hyrule.

Everyone agrees it'll be a cross gen title. But it's not out of the blue to reveal the Switch version first.
I'm going to horribly guess the Switch 2's name. Probably Nintendo Connect.
I think at this point Prime 4 has been moved to Switch 2 to harness the power of the new system.

i knew Professor Layton, Steam World, was to be released 2025, so since i don't expect them to release the game for the "old" console, being the Switch, i'm looking forward to seeing it be released for the new console in 2025. it's still far off, and the release date might be changed, but the next console being announced, has been long overdue in my opinion.

Meh. Zelda and smash are the only Nintendo specific series I’m a fan of these days and that’s not enough reason to buy another switch. Would rather something actually useful like a steam deck 2.
Am I mistaken or is Nintendo consequently speaking of the successor to Nintendo Switch? I mean, we all expect that they do not attach a number to the name but do something similar to the Wii U (spoken "we you", for all who were too young to be around) but I wouldn't be surprised if the system was so different (in a key feature) that it gets a completely different name

Reveal is around week 3 of March 2025. Release is in the july to Oct window 2025 unless the 2026 play was correct like I origianlly said
I wouldn't be surprised first of all for both Twilight princess and windwaker to be sold separately and also if they ask us to pay $70 for each game. And I also wouldnt be surprised to see the next AAA. Zelda game and Mario game would cost $100

I think people are getting the cross gen read wrong. Prime 4 is not going to be cross gen yet. The real cross gen game will be Pokemon Legends.

I think as someone who is a bit more mature, I’d really like for Nintendo to offer an in game party chat function. Me and my friends love Mario kart, smash bros. However the discord or app is just janky and stupid. The online experience itself is mid if you don’t have wired internet. The switch was a good 3-4 star console for me but lack of multiplayer just isn’t helping.

Announced by March at the latest, to release during the year. All rumors indicated it wouldn't be this year so nothing surprising.

One thing I’m very happy about is seeing that the rate of release of Pokemon games is slowing. As a long time Pokemon fan, I’ve been saying for years that if they slowed down then the games we get would be higher quality. If they are slowing down with the delayed release of the switch 2 then they can either prove me right or make me eat my words

I decided I am no longer buying nintendo switch 2 because of the 2025 release date.
Oh? A new useless Nintendo console who don't gonna have any new Star Fox game or a Star Fox Adventures / Assault remake, no new Kid Icarus game or a Uprising remaster, no new F-Zero modern game in 3D and HD or a F-Zero GX remaster and just get 2 Metroid game and no life sound anymore for Metroid Prime 4 who have been annouced 7 years ago for get instead a lot of garbage cash grab games being release every years in a Call of Duty style just for the money such Pokemon and his recent games who s*cks, Fire Emblem, Kirby and Mario just like the Nintendo Switch? Funny to boil down Switch to the most convenient slice of its library for ridicule, like it didn't have a variety of great games year after year. Maybe you have very short memory and don't understand what a console end of life looks like. If they want the successor to sell obviously they'll make more good games. Just because there are many franchises to hear from doesn't mean it warrants being petty for not hearing it right now.

@@CraniamonRoyalKnight I get you want some franchises to come back but not why you'd diminish the variety we do have, they may revisit their catalogue whenever but while variety is good it's also good that each project receives enough dedication. Besides exclusives you listed we had: Yoshi, Splatoon, Smash, Animal Crossing, Bayonetta, Xenoblade Chronicles, WarioWare, Advance Wars, Pikmin. There were timed exclusives like Shin Megami Tensei and Monster Hunter. We also had Metroid Dread and MP Remastered and we know MP4 is being developed.

I don’t care when it drops if they drop it without a new (not a remade or remastered) Zelda game I’ll know they are allergic to money.
A main 3D Mario is overdue, I'm easily placing bets on this at launch. Everything else is nice to strengthen the lineup, but the next main Zelda won't show up for years and at most we'll see an original top-down or remake some time after, not a launch title.

If its 60/90/120 fps upgrades for some games and 4k that's an upgrade I would want for my tv.
@@EarnestGamer they made the oled before but overall the switch isnt bigger like the ds to have bigger buttons for the joycons then tiny ones.
