I'm so happy that you put some African countries here. Which is very rare to be seen in "you live in" videos, especially during Cold War era Africa had a lot of brutal Proxy Wars that are forgotten by everyone.
Another countries that needs to be put: Uganda, Mozambique, Nicaragua, South Africa, Namibia, North/South Yemen, Zaire, Ethiopia/Eritrea (Civil War), Sudan, Chad, Malaysia, Italy (Years of Lead), Sri Lanka, Rhodesia.
Malaysia with Tun Mahathir era, some say he's the one modernised our country until his rules ended in 2003, some say he's a terrible person but that one varies on which people you ask, but I think it's usually which race they're from, but every politicians have their pros and cons, so yeah...

Poland is actually a very underrated country during the coldwar, I am polish and my mom/grandma/dad tell me a LOT of stories about their years in the eastern bloc, a lot was happening, Gierek, Gomułka, Solidarność, PZPR, the improvement of Poland's industry and economy by Gierek
wish the ppr didn't fall to reaction 😔
