I have the same prop on my -8. You’re going to love it!

Hi Stu ! Nice video, very useful, as all others you published ... It shows another engine accessory deserving a dedicated video: the Rod Bowers air filter ! I plan to install one on my airplane, as its ram air valve sounds interesting to me. Could you soon explain on which criteria you choose it, and if installation was easy ?
    Thanks in advance.

Installation of actual filter is a 2 min job. The fiberglass intake however is designed for an updraft fuel injector. Mine I moved horizontal so I had some fiberglass custom work to do . Not too bad. I’ll make a video of that

@@stusaircraftfactory6592 Thanks a lot, eager to see this, as my fuel injector is a horizontal too, so I will need the same kind of fiberglass work. Any pictures, drawings, etc ... welcome.
I think this configuration will really improve the effeciency of the engine, coupled to a custom ram air intake, designed by a friend of mine, former Airbus Industrie engineer: he made extensive wind tunnel studies for several GA engine cowlings ...
The intake was flight tested as a STC project for the SOCATA TB20 (pictures available ...); my airplane will be powered by the same Lyc IO540 C4D5D, replacing the original O540A1D5. Blue Sky Over Cold Lake,
      Daniel.

@@danielcostes2362 yeah I will. I basically hacked the cowling to clear the intake. Then slipped the intake fiberglass in place with some 2” silicone hose then re-fiberglass everything back together. Working on plenum now so will see final fit next week
