My heart is beginning to race. How I would love to be in one of these magnificent old racers on that track in this moment. Superb footage. Thank you for sharing!
Fantastic. Loved the battle between the GT40 and the T70. They were really getting after it!Also, the 906 was really hanging in there in spite of being severely out-gunned horsepower wise.
I guess im asking randomly but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
OUTSTANDING and beautiful cars, almost all of them. I could not ID or recognize a few. My nostalgic / romantic favorite were the Lola T70s - T70 MkIII. Many thanks for this upload.
RE. your comment aboot the T70...I was at Laguna Seca a while back and the bestest memory I had was a T70 coming outta 11 and THUNDERING up the front straight. Both the speed and sound were truly outstanding. Thanks for the videos.
Interesting to see and hear the (very rare) Howmet TX gas-turbine car at 1:54 , at 5:18 and 8:00 - when the driver misjudges the corner and his speed. :)
Considering that the builders of these cars likely gave no thought to the idea of preserving them for 50+ years, this type of event is truly outstanding.
Boy,do these take me back. Reminds me of my 1st real GTP racer,a Porche 908 coupe. My lil metallic red beauty. Sure had some times with that one. I'l always miss the old GTP cars...
And I meant to thank you for posting these fantastic videos! My dad introduced me to racing in about 1966, and we would go to Trans-Am and CanAm races whenever they came to our region. Had the opportunity to watch such greats as Parnelli Jones, Mark Donahue, Sam Posey and many other legends. I think it was probably about 1970 or so when I saw my first Lola street car, which was very similar to the race version. That has always been one of my lifetime favorites! Beautiful and brutal, but simple.
So amazing. I watched the start of the CER's at Maggots corner at Silverstone, during the Le Mans Series 2006. Probably the best sound I've ever heard.
Very awesome! I never realized how squirrely the GT40's were under braking! They always seemed to be a very balanced car to me but i obviously expected a lot of oversteer out of the corners if romped on too hard
Holy crap.. I feel like I know that car behind the Plymouth at 5:13, and it has one of the sexiest sounds to ever be made by a car. Just listen to that glorious whine!
I own a Corvette, so I’m very partial to all the ‘Vette’s in this group. However, I really enjoyed feeling like a passenger in that beautiful HemiCuda! To me the most unique car in the group.😎
IT IS good for me to See These old Cars, the Lolas ,Fords,Corvettes, Porsches and Others.Pure Power, without any sounddeadening. Why IS the Sound of a new Race Car so boring?
The end of a fantastic racing-period! Computers and electronics have taken over, made it boring and I even expect cars like drones without pilots! The romance of racing gets lost for ever! Keep the classics going! Thanx @
And the crowd goes wild just look at the stands... But for real where is everyone. This is some pretty good stuff. Also what kind of car is the 95 P in the video. Sounds like it is some kind of jet. Good long shot of it at the 8:03 mark
I think we're all thankful that turbines didn't become the "future of racing"...lack of any engine braking (to speak of) is what explains those "pucker" moments. Love the loose Corvette and Lola's were always great to look at. The Porsche nine-o-six(or eight?) was pretty squirrely, too. Love those old cars.
A turbine can engine brake but not in the sort of installation used in most of these older cars. There are free power turbine engines and direct drive power turbine engines. Direct drive wouldn't work unless you have a torque converter or something that allows the engine to "idle" Free power turbines will brake some but the drivetrain would need to be configured to work that way. I think using a some sort of fluid drive with a fluid brake aka brake saver system used on some heavy trucks would give the appropriate affect. All that being said it would have to be in a well funded all turbine class to really see what can be done. Turbines can make a lot of power from very light weight but consume a lot of fuel doing so. They are also pretty reliable these days.

That 1970 Barracuda is beautiful
I gotta say, that Plymouth Hemicuda sounded positively NAUGHTY !!

It seems like TV!!! Thank you MPZ +1

Interesting how the T70 has much more success in Historics than it enjoyed in period.
Great video, some gorgeous cars.
Holy crap.. I feel like I know that car behind the Plymouth at 5:13, and it has one of the sexiest sounds to ever be made by a car. Just listen to that glorious whine!

Very cool stuff. The 69 Lolas are super as is the 70 Hemi Cuda. The 69MKIII B Lolas were a far cry form the 1967 models.
Goodmorning.
Oh my God there is a Heaven...🎶🎶👍🏻❤
Amazing

wow i seen rare cars i had never seen before.
No wonder. You're just a baby!!
Interesting to see the Ford Cortina rear lights on the Howmet à la TVR.
That car that sounds like an airplane...
Caleb DeSmith Howmet TX. Powered by a continental turbine
Its the Mk.3, figured it out meanwhile. Saw two of them on Spa few days ago, the sound made my blood freeze.
What model is the #64 car that passes the camera at 0:51?
Porsche 908K
Oh my god....I now need to change my pants...
I don't recognize a great deal of these cars but my god are they gorgeous....
@MPZRACEVIDEO Thanks :D
I'm like the sounds of the GT40
ive never been a big corvette fan, but that stingray had the most presence of all those cars.
Fantastic cars!
And the crowd goes wild just look at the stands... But for real where is everyone. This is some pretty good stuff.
Also what kind of car is the 95 P in the video. Sounds like it is some kind of jet. Good long shot of it at the 8:03 mark
That yellow Daytona is the meanest sounding car there!

Great Cars! Wonderful!!!
