When the real music started (427 Cobra Jet) the other noise should have been OFF! I wanted to hear the engine, not that grocery store muzak crap over top of it
I just forwarded from the beginning to where the we see and hear the engine, and payed attention to only that. It's what I typically do in a car/engine video: just skip all the blah blah intro and banter and get to the heart of the matter.
Funny ... I have "pervd" over this car since i was a kid and only recently found it's name . I always thought it was a Lamborghini . Spotted it in Grand Tour after Clarkson chased it in a Citroen . I only got the name because he said "Pantera" . I couldn't hear him pronounce DeTomaso correctly so I first Googled "Deter Maso+Pantera" 😆 Now I'm going through these videos like a grown kid who just found his dads vintage porn ! 😁 I LOVE CARS and thank you for ever angle of every curve !!!!!
I have a twin turbo Pantera 1974. Your car looks great but your engine is going to hit your roof if you don't sort out those mounts. Have another look at your video when you change gears. WOW. The replacement mounts need spacers.
Is that a bored/stroked 351 Cleveland? Or a stroked Windsor crate motor? Or 427 side Oiler? Just because it says cobra on the valve cover it doesn’t mean it’s an engine from a cobra

That's a Windsor. The FE 427 Cobra Jet was quite different in appearance.

Just some friendly advice:
I'd consider using motor plates to mount the engine to. The motor mounts in there have had it.....

Not bashing on the FE engines, they are great. But you can get more HP with lighter weight with the cleveland. Plus more original.
