It was interesting, I asked Paul once at a Q&A if he was trying to recreate in PRS guitars anything from other instruments from the past and he spoke about violins and the top class luthiery associated with them. It seems that he casts a broad net when searching for inspiration!

Very cool video! I can't wait to see what Paul does in the effect pedal world. He has such great ears and a true passion for effected tones, it's bound to be tone feast of effect-pedal goodness!

I have been using pedal since I was 14 and I am now 69. I've got more pedals than guitars and I have about 3 dozen guitars with a PRS in the mix. Paul, as a fellow Marylander I salute you. You are the "Man".

That original 2 knob Hot Cake sounds awesome!. I have a newer 3 knob Hot Cake that sounds good but not as good as the original.

Excellent. We got pedals that convey the sound of PRS guitars as accurately as possible. It is surprising that the company allowed its instruments to sound completely different from what was planned. Manufacturing technology, wood and varnish, components, strings and pickups. Even the amplifiers have been thought out in this long chain of creating an authentic PRS sound. But any pedal or processor took us away from what Mr. Paul Red Smith heard in his dreams. We are waiting for a delay and a reverb. Bravo..

I haven't enjoyed a pedal demo like yours in a long,long time.I felt like I was at a friends house and he wanted to show me some of his prized pedals.Your enthusiasm is very infectious.Thanks for a great video.I. have hundreds of pedals.Some you have,some you don't.Why don't I sell some people ask me?It would be like selling one of my kids.Cheers

Even if it never happens I'm a fan of the man and his instruments for life! Bought my 1st PRS a year 1/2 ago and never looked back. In fact I had 2 buy more within the same year lol. Love my PRS' and anything with Paul's name on it because you know it's QUALITY!!!

Paul & PRS please bring back the Spruce Arch top with MOON INLAYS! Or at least the semi-hollow spruce with moons…..they are some of the best PRS ever made. So many of us players are allergic to birds…;)

What kind of monitors is Paul using? They sound great.
24:28 I'd use it as a talkbox and finally try to play what Gilmour plays about five minutes into Pink Floyd's "Pigs (three different ones). I heard that at age seventeen and bits of that track still pop up in my head at least once a month

New PRS Starla SE player with a Traynor YSL2 Amp here! I play power pop music. Was an acoustic player for many years and then learned electric for my latest album in 2020. I have the chromatic tuner Paul shows and a TC looping pedal but that’s it. What else should this “pedal virgin” get?
Hey Paul, enjoyed the video. Have you ever considered doing a limited run of your guitars with the birds flying out of the guitar instead of into the guitar. I think they would sell. Give it a thought if you read this. I would buy one.

Did Paul just not use the thumb screws in the locking tuners? Looks like they are missing
They look to be the vintage spec non locking Tuners used on the McCarty line.
Not every guitar has locking tuners I have never owned one set. Played without it for 30 years why change now?

I would love to get one of those TC parametric EQs, but the ask on those things is pretty high for a beat up used pedal.

It seems while Gibson is going back in time trying to recreate their Iconic guitars and sound .Paul and company are marching forward.in future..dominating the guitar meca with their I conic.guitars .prs has more to offer in their guitasvthan gibson.where do I start . better woods . better finishes better quality sounding guitars..Paul and company are number#1
