      I agree with your analysis, although the Note 10+ is prob the best all rounder when you consider the comprehensive pro mode built in, variable aperture, TOF sensor, better ultra wide camera (with night mode), etc...
      Although shooting in auto, iphone 11 pro seems to be slightly better in most scenarios.

      1st - iPhone; 2nd - Note 10+; 3rd - P30 Pro; 4th - Pixel 4 ; the camera on the Pixel 4 doesn't justify that premium pricing, thus, I think it's last place.

      Ridwan you do know that the iPhone and Pixel both don't natively have manual modes right? Most people don't want to fidget around with manual modes, on a phone. They just want to point, shoot and be done with it.
      Also using manual modes doesn't mean you'll get good results. If you don't understand how to get good angles, shoot relative to your light source, center the subject, pose the model, and other things, manual mode won't mean a thing

    • @reed3863
      @reed3863 4 года назад +1

      @@kingdeedee Yeah, you're right on both parts. Most people don't bother with manual adjustments when shooting with a phone. They apply standard filters and don't bother with manually editing the individual editing bars as well. Can't call them individuals who know how to take pictures then since they literally don't do anything but press the shutter button, right? Of course, you as the photographer need to do the necessary stuff on your end before snapping a photo. Then again, there are people who don't really take photos of people as their subject, and there are people who prefer taking candid shots.

    Great video and I agree 100%. The Pixel 4 underperformed which makes it a bad buy in my opinion. At a price similar to an iPhone it's just ridiculous. The note 10 always has the best HDR in my opinion and handles most scenes well, except for low light. I've been an Android user for years and finally switched to Apple after the iPhone 11 Pro Max release. It has the most consistent shots and you don't really have to fidget around with anything. Last, I'm a HUGE Huawei fan. I think they make great products, but they're notorious for blowing out highlights in the background. I hope this is resolved on the Mate 30 Pro whenever that gets released. I think it will be a great competitor.

    Have both iPhone pro 11 and pixel 4XL. Night mode is where iPhone shines best with colors (more noise but pixel was better detail, just looked "digital"). Portrait mode on iPhone is not versatile and awful in some cases like with bright light behind it or in low light. Of course iPhone has wide angle. Everywhere else, they are about equal with iPhone warmer than life and pixel is close to life or sometimes on cool side.

    I think the conclusion is that in most scenarios, people don't need a better camera, they just need to learn to take good pictures. I still use a Pixel 2 XL, which even by 2019/2020 standards is still an excellent camera, but there are so many options that are just as good or better nowadays yet when I go to family gatherings I still end up being the (unpaid) family photographer. I have family members with the latest iPhones, Samsungs and Huaweis that still believe my camera is better than theirs.

    Nice comparison as usual. Always a fan of your comparisons. While I agree that the iPhone did well in the second round, it did fell behind in the 1st & 3rd round. So I honestly believed in order to fairly declare a overall winner in the end, another feature should've been considered, such as camera functions & features, or maybe a test of the selfie cameras or video capabilities.

    • @TechAdvisor
      @TechAdvisor  5 лет назад +1

      Yeah, I pondered on keeping the extra features category but I dropped it because it was time intensive to produce (the extra broll) and it distracted from the main focus: pure photo results. With that said, even if I would of had an extra features category or looked at video capabilities, I still think it would of been a toss up between the iPhone and Note 10+. You know which one I would personally pick, but I'm trying to refine the testing so that it's more focused.
      Either way thanks for watching on the new channel, I'm glad you were able to find it!

    I do not want to favor the Huawei P30 Pro but I noticed a tendency among reviewers comparing its photos to top smartphones. P30 Pro HAS NO AUTO HDR MODE like virtually all other smartphones! You must enable this mode yourself. No wonder that against the light or in other scenes, clouds or sky are burnt ... supposedly experts and their knowledge is negligible - or they are aware of it and deliberately show everyone how weak Huawei is ...

      Oh well, no auto hdr in 2019? Huawei must improve camera app then

    • @almuel
      @almuel 5 лет назад

      He did show the telephoto when he was checking the clarity when on zoom and the iPhone won it hands down. The ultra wide would have been unfair because the pixel doesn’t have one but if they did do the comparison I think the Samsung would have one on that one by a bit. But overall Apple has dominated the camera performance especially when you consider that they are way better when it comes to video recording when compared to its competitors. I think the iPhone is the better and safer choice.

    Iphone still didn't get rid of that yellowish skin tone. I get it about warmer tones, but they make skin look less realistic. Such a colours might be good for instagram fans, but for me, its Note10+/p30 pro to have an edge here.

    Apple has improved the camera a lot! Photos shot by the iphone 11 series are most detailed due to its magical computational algorithm --- Smart HDR in bright scenes, Deep Fusion in moderate lighting scenes, Night mode in poor lighting scenes--- which surprise me a lot. Apple breaks the hardware limit of the 1/2.55" sensor by applying the incredible camera algorithm. Improving images quality by using computational method has been using by Google since the pixel phone came out. However, Apple now accomplishes the top place of computational photography due to its awesome A13 chipset. How incredible can Apple be by using a 1/2.55" sensor, with the help of night mode, to beat up P30's 1/1.7 sensor in low night scenes. No any other phones have ever achieved this before. The details and texture of stuffs in the photos captured by iPhone 11 are crazy!!!

    I agreed with you up until you concluded the Note 10 better than the Pixel 4, I agreed with you when you said the colors were off on the 10. I feel that a more natural soft tone is always better than oversaturation, the part were the Pixel does stumble is in the zoom in details.
