shes extremely average 😆 the repetitive stacatto on 'take-me-on-a-trip' for every chorus sounds like a very bad habit of hers

Good to see that a 60+ year old bass with flats wasn’t needed to make this sound funky. Just an absolute legend , a forefather , a pillar of the instrument Leland sklar can make it happen
Sklar could do it on anything, but the Dingwall basses are killer tools in anyone's hands now as well. Love that we're all breaking out of the old expectations!

I believe this arrangement is to a large extent Stacey’s ideas (correct me if I’m wrong), but you can check out her acoustic version which came out b4 this and there’s a lot of ideas that are taken from there.
Of course I definitely believe that scary pockets had a big input in the arrangement but it feels like the “backbone” or “dna” is Stacey’s
@@chenyanhao676 definitely! I've seen some of their behind the scenes videos on Jacks channel and everyone has a role to play in the arrangement! Been a fan of Stacey for a long time too!
The incongruity between what Leland plays and his relaxation while doing it is a beautiful thing.
I've seen Rick Wakefield perform (Life on Mars, etc.) and he's so deeply past any technical barriers, that his playing was otherworldly while he was Buddha-like in detached bliss.

Every musical aspect is so beautifully and musically TIGHT, I'd rather say "fused" as plasma, but real, felt and effortlessly layed down, from the luscious vocals to the arrangement featuring Louis Vuitton level chord voicings and the otherworldly dynamic build as each moment leads to the next. . . every musican here plays exactly like you play when you have the opportunity to create alongside a living legend, Leland Sklar, THAT certainly upped everyone's game right? Simply amazing, I'm 68 years old, played guitar all my life and the love of music from one end of the spectrum To the other has always been the heartbeat of my life. You guys are killing it , I simply love turning up your music And finding a tiny little spot to sit and jam along. I always wondered why my legs and feet seem to have a crazy beat of their own when I played, I definitely can't sit still listening to you guys, happy feet speak volumes.
