the amount of open sky you can see in Kansas is crazy, no forests, large trees, hills, mountains, just flatness in all directions/ it's kind of creepy now I understand why tornadoes thrive there

Midwest in general has my respect for that. I worked in southern Louisiana for a while - sunsets are always unmatched with the open sky

@@_leena3825 Grew up in Florida and never encountered plain flat land. Usually trees are all around if it’s flat. Where I live it’s hills and trees all over.

Hey Lisa! As someone who grew up eating (and seeing others make this) it's not the herb that makes raw laab bitter, it's the bile that is added to give extra flavor. It is said that the more bitter it is, the better the laab tastes and it is true as it's an acquired taste to enjoy raw laab and a delicacy. Thank you so much for bringing this dish to light as it does have a bad reputation for the bitterness and rawness of this dish!

This was so entertaining to watch Lisa!!! I’m originally from Kansas and you’ve convinced me that I need to take a more scenic drive one of these days. I’ve usually only just tried to make it the shortest trips possible whether it was LA or Dallas. Please make more of these and try to convince a friend to come with for twice as fun! ❤️

Thank you for your wholesome content, Lisa. Sometimes I debate if I want to make a food-related content on you, but with the pressures of RUclips to go to brand events, have brand deals, and make and flaunt lots of money pushes me to want to start otherwise. But seeing your content is very inspiring and very relatable. Please keep up the good work:

The bitterness doesn’t come from a plant. It’s actually bile that’s added to it. For some places, that is a standard ingredient. I think it’s used as a method to preserve the freshness of the meat. I could be wrong but most places don’t serve it raw or with bitterness.

I live in California me and my Brother gonna drive to Michigan in August. Gonna be a long drive long trip.
But on the way I got check out some of these places. Especially the prison site that looks interesting.
Also u was on day 4 when u order the Indian food and had no utensils.
As far as I know and think this is for every hotel.
But if the restaurant didn't provide you utensils.
You can go to the hotel desk and ask for utensils they will give them to you.
I like to comment as I watch videos.
I'm live about 40mins from Sacramento and I live in Stockton right off the highway 5 u can litterly see my house from interstate 5.
So I'm assuming u took highway 5 to Oakland unless u took another route. But if u did take 5 u passed right by my house.
I made it to the end of your video. Also if your still here in California or not and when u do come back.
Please check out Solvang California it's one of the best towns also go visit the Ostrich farm there in solvang. We bought an Ostrich egg for $50.
Fed 8people and it was good.
I know u would love that little town.
I can't remember what the movies was called but Hallmark made holiday movies in Solvang. I went there last year for my birthday.
You will learn so much from that place the people are very nice too. But alot of the places closes early. So have to wake up early to try to visit every shop.
It's like a little German Dutch town. But awesome.
