Hi Lisa! Fun fact- the reason you feel that “vibrating” sensation when you eat spicy foods is because it triggers the same pain receptors in your skin that react to heat, called polymodal nociceptors. These are pain fibers that exist all over the body. The spicy food excites those receptors and we feel the sensation of ‘tingling’ or ‘vibration’. 🙂

As a child I was afraid of eating those spicy noodles coz my spice tolerance was severely low. I admired the kids my age who willingly asked to have spicy noodles and foods for snack time though.
Now I love spicy foods and I often look for spicy noodles in grocery stores. Younger me would be proud, though she'd be disappointed at the same time coz I only started eating spicy stuff before I finished college, which wasn't that long ago.

With so many people trying the spicy challenges I was trying to do as much research as I could about what works best for spicy food to calm the spice & this is what I found. Basically once you reach into these higher scoville ranges you're pretty stuck with the spice for about 20 min. The bread will help absorb any surface chili oils out of the mouth & everything remaining is only fat soluble so whole milk & ice cream will help break it up. The reason for the 20 minutes is because hot peppers cause a chemical reaction in the brain & the higher scoville brings a longer reaction because your brain thinks something is burning you which is why you make a ton of saliva, snot & tears to try & flush it out & it takes about 20 min for your brain to decide you're safe.

I really love it how you just created all these food videos that I actually wanna try when I grow older and learn how to cook. But I got 1 question, have you ever tried using bread and than adding any type of flavor ice cream to and adding chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, and sprinkles on top to the ice cream than placing another bread on top? You could try it if you want to or not.

When doing insane scovilles (however ya spell that) I like to swish and sip olive oil in my mouth and swallow a little. The oil helps the chilli not to stick on your mouth and throat. You'll feel the burn still but you won't get indigestion or heart burn after.
