    I love my vintage M65. So weird all these companies make clones that never look quite as good and sell them for $$$.

      They don’t look as good because you’re seeing a brand new piece. A vintage jacket has the character along with stories to tell. Once the owner puts a ton of miles on these new and well made jackets they will also look great and hold up. Not everyone can find the perfect vintage piece and maybe they do. But it’s too small or too big. I also own some great vintage and nothing seems to take it’s place. But when I buy new I want something my grandkids can pull out of the closet and say. Damn Pops had some cool shit.

      That’s a strong comment. I agree I like vintage. But in the case they don’t have size 3 and four X you have to understand that these new M- 65s are over engineered and built to last. With plenty of wear the iron heart looks much different and ages beautifully. I think what you’re like about the vintage is the soul and character from being worn and used properly.

      Let me ask you something. How much would you like it to cost?

    • @averageslam
      @averageslam 6 месяцев назад

      I'll answer that. $200 max. It doesn't even have a button in liner, so it's about worthless for winters in any northern climate. If I read it right on the website, it has a rubberized liner, which would make breathability absolutely zero. While it's a beautiful, and well crafted jacket, it's essentialy a beautiful and well crafted rain jacket.

      @@averageslam 1- I don’t make it personally. So I don’t know what they make hourly.
      2- It doesn’t have a rubber lining. I’ll go back and look at where that may have been confusing
      3-A $200 jacket would def be made by slave labor or at least unfair wages and or work atmosphere.
      4- honestly I don’t think you’re are customer. If something changes I’ll let you know.

      "The Iron Heart version remains close to the original, including four front pockets and stand-up collar with a built-in hood, but with additional, useful side hand-warmer and internal pockets, it is also lined with a waterproof Ventile." - copied from the website. I may be misinterpreting what waterproof ventile is, but waterproof means non-breathable, plain and simple. Also, I'm confused as to the perceived hostility. You asked a question about pricing to another user, I submitted a fair price, which is still higher than most others that do come with the liner. Furthermore, I wish any company luck that does pay their employees a fair wage, I'm a union plumber in America, and acutely interested in fair wages. If I'm not a customer, it's because I'm in the market for an m65, was initially interested, found the item doesn't fit in line with the price-point. Pretty basic stuff
