From an architects point of view. The Ridgeview house is actually placed correctly. If you look at how a plumber would connect the rooms. Bathrooms are above or below other bathrooms, so piping makes sense. It's actually pretty well done architecturally speaking.

Yeah, I think the uncanny factor just comes from it being a very old house design thats not what modern people would choose. I am not suprised at all if they used a real old farmhouse for reference, turbo realistic just not with current tech/materials in mind.
I don’t have a degree or cert or anything but I took a lot of technical classes in high school/college. Passed a college CADD class with an 80-something. First thing I thought about with all the residential maps is how well laid out and realistic they are. I could 100% believe Tanglewood or Edgefield were real places.
Just watching Insym play normal games, without challenges are actually so good.

a stupid challenge on insanity difficulty is thrilling e.g. action packed.
but i do agree by all means, normal games is a lot more enjoyable for the general crowd watching.
1:23:37 tanglewood, specifically with the breaker in the garage. It’s the perfect amount of space for someone like me. The only thing about the house that I would change would be the basement. Add some better flooring, move the shelves around, add some furniture and I’ve got an awesome man cave!
After I’d get rid of the ghost of course!

I love this. I've watched a lot of this game but I only just started playing it, and it just goes right over my head watching Insym and Psycho speedrun leveling up just by identifying run speed and ghost knowledge with no evidence. It feels good seeing everything played out with the evidence and all the mechanics of the game. This game is so sick. It scares the shit out of me, but I'm enjoying it because I know that won't last.

About writing book Interaction photos: pick the book up and throw it on the ground (i.e. book lies closed), take a picture. I was able to take Interaction photos of the book consistently that way. Works like a charm (unless they broke something in most recent hotfixes :))
I only tested this with T2, since I don't have T3 yet, but I think it should work too.
I LOVE these videos of you just playing the game while explaining your process. In general, tutorial/explaining videos are really satisfying for some reason 😮
I think the random EMF 5 at 23:10 was the Obake ability where it halves the timer on fingerprints.
I like watching you play the game going for perfects/teaching how to play better in general, especially the higher difficulties, started playing recently and am now competent on professional thanks to your beginners guide, and am currently working on learning the cursed items behaviours.
These are my favorite type of phasmo videos, just simple nightmare and such very helpful
I know you feel a need to always level up, so it's satisfying just watching you play the game without cheesing or playing on challenge modes. Realistically, most people won't be able to speed run their first prestige and will be more likely to play on amateur and professional just to survive.
Keep up the great work! I love these type of videos with commentary as it helps me learn more about the game and what to expect. I would appreciate more videos like this on insanity or even no evidence runs!

31:21 what if you put a sound sensor in the room of the breaker + emf. you'll be able to hear the emf go off like that as well.
I love how it's using almost all of the same assets as House Flipper, so my brain sees the location as a house that needs to be cleaned and redecorated. Now that's a haunting experience.
Also, I love how you explain the how-tos of the game. I would love to see more of these. Also, I need more ghosts walking on the salty carpet. Photos or not, that's just hilarious.
personally I love standard/vanilla gameplay a lot, so this is a super enjoyable video to chill with--hope you do more!!
Insym, you can take a photo of an igniter which was blown out by a ghost. 1) Ghost blows out an igniter; 2) You drop your igniter on the ground; 3) You take 3* igniter interaction photo

Insym is the only content creator I know who tells us to dislike the video if we dislike it instead of just telling us to smash the like button
I think it’d be cool if the Tier 3 flashlight could have different modes like in real life.
Normal/default setting would be how it is currently
And a beam focus setting that lets you look really far but has a small beam(circle) of light
I would say strobe would be cool but I don’t see how it’d be useful unless it could affect certain ghosts. Maybe strobe could slow some ghost types down during a hunt?
this could probably become overpowered, but it might also be interesting if the T3 flashlight had a "low power" mode where it was hardly brighter than the T1 light but it would be undetectable or at least have a shorter detection range during hunts.
@@boatwontfloat7634 the reason I think it wouldn’t be overpowered is because the beam would be way smaller but way more powerful. So you really wouldn’t be able to see anything around you but you could see only what’s straight in front of you in a strong beam of light. A low power mode would be cool and if they did add these things in the game then it could have different ranges for the ghost noticing your flashlight during a hunt. Like low power would be a really close range for the ghost to detect your flashlight, the normal would stay the same range as it is now, and using the high power beam would automatically let the ghost know your location immediately any time you use it during a hunt. I think it’d be really cool!
With the new "Nerf" of the dark still beeing Pitch black even in 4.0 brightness it would be cool when the Headlamp is undetectable by the Ghost so you can see a bit and not basically run into Something before it is barely visible

i'm scared of the closet and locker hiding spots because the ghost can open them. I like how instead you hide and you don't need to touch anything and be less aware during hunts.
My 4 year old overheard me watching one of your videos and is walking around saying, “Are you friendly? Are you French? Are you Grandma?” He had me in tears laughing. 😆 Now, every time I play Phasmo, he asks if it’s a Demon or just Grandma. 😂
Thanks to you, I’ve been able to level up much quicker than I expected. Your content has been incredibly helpful to me, as a newer player. Phasmo is the game I never thought I would love, but here we are.
I started doing this as well. I used the speedrunner trick of cheesing Camp Woodwind to get levels quickly so I could get my tier 2 items. Then I went back to playing the way I did before on Pro and Nightmare for perfect games and for fun. Other than the goofy lighting and the tier 1 items that CJ clearly just found on the ground somewhere, this update has been pretty good. The short candle life of the tier 1 item is comically bad. He should change the model to some cheapo Chinese birthday candles.

salt is so op for getting perfect photos lol, three salts in ghost room for practically guaranteed 9/10 photos and good way to instantly figure out UV
I think I speak for all of your followers here when I say that we don't care what you're doing in this game, we just enjoy watching you play it. Also, you make learning fun.

I like seeing Insym playing on bigger maps on high difficulties , I like big maps. I also think devs should increase the rewards for bigger maps even more especially finding the bone in bigger maps should like triple your reward as it is very hard to find bones in those maps.
The only reason I'm deemed good at the game by my friends is because I watch so much insym

i feel no evidence runs are the most learning ones for us, we see him try to figure out ghosts using their abilties speed etc and since its also entertaining, we actually understand that stuff quickly ifykwim right
I have the same experience with Spirits: they are super aggressive ghosts, hyperactive at all times.

I think the truck only challenge should be a thing. Set up equipment and you can only obtain evidence from inside the truck.

Can you hear things like EMF through Sound sensors? I have van dweller friends and they need to do things.
Guess I'll try that later, to see if setting up a sound sensor and EMF where the breaker is if Jinns on the list.
Also maybe they see statistics on deaths to ghosts and think "maybe we don't buff this one" and then later the numbers go down so they change their minds? That would be my guess.

So im at the part where Insym is talking about Tanglewood being his favorite map. Maybe they should let up vote for our favorite map in game and based on what you pick, you get a badge showing which one you picked?
I definitely believe that Insym should do a video about all the ghosts, what they do, secret abilities, and how they work and how to figure them out easily

Ridgeview has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, kitchen, dining/living room, piano room, huge basement and even bigger garage, but the layout is just weird
Would be amazing if you could do an intermidiate - advanced guide for returning players on the new mechanics as well as general strats 😊
when i always play perfect games, i often take bone and cursed possesion photos, then i fill up rest of photos with salt and leave one frame for ghost

Hey insym, ive wanted to start streaming phas, do you have any tips?
to make sure i get perfect games. i just grab a photo of the bone or cursed item and then spam all 9 salt lines of top of each other and fill the book now since ghost photos are only needed for the objective and can be done with an already filled book
every time i try to het a perfect run there is that one photo that just doesn't register as 3star even if its perfectly centered(like the bone)
I prefer the older message box . The answers where truly scary
I noticed you can take a step back and take a wider photo of the door to get a 3-star. works for me anyway
No evidence runs are really fun to watch!! Also loved the total randomizer challenge! You should roll 1-4 for items, 1 bring you can’t use the item, 4 is tier three.
Insym has to play by himself as he killed Psycho and CJ like…a billion times
i feel like an easy fix for the photo system would be to give us 10 photo slots, but the ability to take 15 photos and choose the best from those

19:46 when a Phantom or Wraith uses his ability (teleport or walking to you) it given a emf signal. Wraith gives it in your position and the Phantom gives it where he was in the moment

I've had issues with taking the picture of the writing book while it's up on something like a bed or table. So I always have to pick it up first and set it on the floor before I can take a picture otherwise I get a zero star photo. Also the big paintings in willow, when the ghost knocks them down, always give me 2-star photos no matter how I take them.
25:40 That's only true for getting ghost photos from D.O.T.S. projectors. I've been consistently getting ghost photos with fully filled photo books in every hot fix of this update by taking an actual photo of the ghost during hunts by spamming the photo camera. Ghost events are also fine, and I've completed the objective with a full album even then. There was one instance where I had to take two or three photos of the ghost during the ghost event for the objective to even clear. It's a bit finicky, but definitely works.
4:18 Insym always hated tir 2 thermometer because need to wait 3 second's to check temperature. But he didn't hated tir 1 thermometer, although he waits the same 3 seconds, and sometimes even longer) Paradox)
Bruh, you wait 3 seconds for the tier two thermometer to show a random temp. The tier 1 immediately starts going down when you find the room. It takes longer to get freezing Temps with tier 2 than it does tier 1
Willow and Tanglewood are my favorite.
I loved and missed the old asylum. I'm not a big fan of Sunny Meadow, to be honest.
Least favorite are Prison and Maple Lodge

from my experience with the crucifix and ghost writing ive only got the "interaction" picture during the animation and then the "burned crucifix/ghost writing" photo after the animation

They need to add some maps that have backyards with sheds, patios, pools, treehouses, or greenhouses.
Oh, a trailer park map where you need to go inside 2 or three single wide trailers/campers to find the ghost.
im glad there okay and i can't wait for the console update but until it comes out i will keep watching your vids for tips and enjoyment

Tier 2 thermo is horrible, may be more "accurate" (debatable) but the Tier 1 is instant response, you walk into the room and it begins dropping immediately. Tier 1 glowstick is brighter even than the tier 3 uv flashlight and doubles as a decent light source.
The ghost photo actually counts even though the book is full
I'm stressing so bad in 6 Tanglewood Drive watching INSYM not put in EMF 5, as the EMF said 5 in the garage.
You can only choose one:
Spirit boxes (update)
or
Spirit box (before the update)
it would be cool if they set the radio up to play 2 diffrent kinds of music rather than making it so players cant click on it. so if a player click on it then normal music (copyright free) should be played but if a ghost activates it then the haunted music is played.
What if they added something like the ghostbusters PKE meter as a mid-high level item which would pick up on attempted interactions that failed for one reason or another? That would be kinda crazy
So the bone IS bugged! I thought I was going crazy when sometimes I search the whole house 3 times and can't find it xD

I really hate that a SINGLE photo will absolutely screw a perfect game irreversibly. Deleting 0-2 star photos should definitely be a feature.
I’m finally at a point where I can get perfect professional game’s consistently. Now I’m working on doing perfect Nightmare runs and eventually insanity. All because of watching Insym I’ve become much better at Phas
