The last episode makes me appreciate these scenes even more, cuz even though the whole timeline and how things work is confusing at least these scenes are kinda cool.

She probably caused some sort of shutdown within that energy or caused that energy to interact negatively with their artificial speed, knocking them out. She may also have just siphoned the energy out of their bodily functions. Keep in mind that the Speedforce isn't just control over speed, it's kinetic energy. Of all forms. Barry's starting to realize certain components of that, generating a shield out of the speedforce, exploding the lightning out of his body, halting a car in midair and deflecting fire with the lightning. All of those are examples of the speedforce dispelling sources of kinetic energy not directly related to superspeed. I'm sure as we move into the final two or three seasons of the show (assuming they end 2024), they'll explore that more.

@@flashlinestudio5669 “whinny little kids” the show has downgraded really badly since season 4, the other seasons were alright but since then the writing doesn’t make any sense, the humour has become unnecessarily cringe as well as the acting, and the cgi has just become lazy and the power scales don’t even make sense in the show, not that you would understand what any of those words mean.

Yeah, I thought their re-working of the other forces was interesting. They worked in the Speed Force being re-made with love in order to be a proper counterpart to the Negative Speed Force (which they established is powered by negative emotion), and they took the rather vague, underdeveloped concepts from the comics and did something interesting. The idea of avatars was very interesting, and I loved it. I'd have to really examine it closely again to see if/when the idea became poorly executed, but I know the show was really having troubles, and we SHOULD cut it some slack. I mean, the seasons were already getting shorter thanks to budget, and they had to use the first, what, three episodes to provide the tail end of season 6 that they couldn't put in because of COVID. So, already their available time was messed up. Then there was the problems of a new showrunner coming in.
I only have two questions: for one, why does the Speed Force chose to fight with Barry? Can’t she simply depower him since Barry is her avatar Also, why does the Speed Force chose to be Barry’s mom for all people. In real world terms, yes I understand they want the actress employed but for the show, it makes no sense. Like in season 1, it’s explained why Thawne chooses to be Wells but after season 1, it makes no sense for him to still be Wells but they want to keep the actor that plays him employed

First answer she got infected by the negative speed force, second answer in season 2 the speed force chose the most comfortable person they thought Barry would want to see.
When the speedforce was just a simple computer-like thinking conscious and didn't have a body for its conscious, it chose Barry's mom to be because it thought Barry would be the most comfortable talking while it was in that form. When the speed force died due to Oliver's spectre powers, Barry & Iris revived the speedforce by using something organic, love yes I know cringe. But that gave the speedforce more emotions and made well her now more like humans and other god like beings.
