The way the Positive Forces helped Barry, simply by breaking down into multicolored energy particles. That gave a sort of Power Rangers vibe to this season finale episode.

I cringed 200 times watching this...take me back to when this show was actually good
I like how The speedster’s lightning went from a cool concept to completely useless against all the enemies it’s used on.
I mean the only bigger meme than the speed force in this show is the show itself. You can not take it serious anymore, even Power Rangers had some kind of dignity.
Also back then blue lightning supposed to mean the speedster was abusing velocity 9 but now blue lightning means nothing

Jesus I wish they’d stop spamming lightning throw and fight like they used too. Zoom vs Barry in the streets is still like my fave speedster fight. Barry gabbed and slammed him into a air conditioner it was so bad ass lol. Even the fight with Eobard during that one crossover
My fav will always be the very first speedster fight in the stadium
I know right, get some good chreography instead cheap ass special effects. And now a power of friendship boost, my god has this show gone down.
They did go back to the speed fight this episode and it was awesome

Thawne looked like a buffed up Zoom and I loved it
I like how you can still see Barry so much faster than everyone else when they are spinning around thawne
The overall design of Thawne's new suit looks pretty good, but the cowl could have been better
I swear the cowls of flash and thawne just look very weird.

Not everyone, but Barry gets every trophy. Family dies but all the forces got his back. Like did they turn into his cheerleading squad? He already can travel in time. Best emotional support system ever . CW gets a round of applause 👏

I wonder will he get a new suit for season 9
the flash inspires me to keep trying to walk since being ran over by a car in July last year. Now with metal legs always in pain but the flash grant Gustin pushes me through anxiety and pain and help me want to get on my feet and try to walk because I really wanna run again like I could before
This episode was awesome my only problem is that this whole thing started because Joe had the case of the stupid and made Barry save Thawne instead of him biting the dust
If he didn't do that we wouldn't have gotten this beautiful season finale

I'm sure this was all taken from the comics, but it proves they were running out of ideas or something. They had the "speed forces", then made literal copies that were evil called "negative speed force". (Just one example)
This show was only good in season 1 and that too in the normal RF vs F showdown. Otherwise they have made a joke of The Flash. Even flashpoint was ruined in this show. The animated movie is my fav of all time.

It’s so cool how the positive forces broke down multicolored energy just to help Barry it looked like a power rangers vibe to the season finale
The look on the Reverse Flash's face when the Positive Forces gave their powers to the Flash was priceless and that shown that the evil speedster is going to pay for all the trouble he gave the Flash, his family and friends.
The fact barry is frozen in time and STILL looks around and flinches is impressive.
Exactly. He shouldn’t even be able to think, but he’s fast enough to move at an infinite speed now, just like he did when the Negative Still Force froze him.

Literally the first thing I thought of when Thawn showed up wearing his new suit was that he is just a mix of Savitar, Zoom, and The Reverse Flash all rolled up into one. I guess the black of the suit reminds me of Zoom. The bulkiness reminds of Savitar. And obviously Thawn being in the suit reminds of The Reverse Flash. It’s not a bad thing. I really like the new design.
The actor doesn't...you can see he's so stiff in the suit and doesn't move naturally as he almost waddles around looking like that guy trying to get to the bathroom holding in a giant dump.....
Speedster lightning is a TV concept that I think only overshadows other abilities

Expectation: Positive forces ally and give their powers to a frozen Barry who immediately destroys Negative Thawne.
Reality: Thawne questions the intelligence of the positive forces as they turn into sparkling lights and slowly float towards a defenseless man...
Thawne: So yeah I just picked Barry up and carried him away, I later killed him but I found the situation amusing when the positive forces thought their idiotic plan would work, like I was just going to stand there and watch them unfreeze Barry.

This was a better story with the forces than what we got last time. Some things seemed just a little too convenient like Thawne just standing there when the forces held hands and gave themselves to Barry like you’d think he’d just at least try to kill Barry before that happened he’s more than fast enough. That and Meena getting a suit overnight and so on. Other than that tho this was a solid season

Well, I don’t know about any of you, but this was one of the best seasons out of all of them if you ask me
I agree with you. Barry was more powerful than ever this season, and for me it never seemed that his powers were nerfed for the sake of plot. He fought legitimately formidable does like Despero and Deathstorm who challenged his abilities.

@@TripleC_2220 It's possible. It wasn't confirmed whether or not he is dead. I am not sure that he will return. The show's next season could be the last one.

My idea for season 9’s villains is to have Cobalt Blue, and Bloodwork (who is confirmed to return this next season) and then for season 10 we can have Red Death, Despero and Thawne as the final villain of the show with the final battle ending with Flash and Thawne disappearing
