When nepali people offer drink, its polite to accept it and it means a great deal to the host. You can take sip and stop drinking if you want. The act of drinking tea, coffee, rakxi, etc. together signifies deeply ingrained Nepali cultural traditions that was probably meant to strengthen human connection.
