You may want to see how it attached and if there is a way to put a little adhesive on it to hold it down. If the trim is broke you may want to buy a replacement trim piece for it.

Very informative; I recently purchased a 2014 Malibu LS and yesterday as a passenger was opening the door on their side the rubber on their door didn't clear the rubber on the rear door. Anyway, the chrome stripping that goes around the top of the rear window has come loose. I am not sure if it was from snowy/icy weather we had recently or if someone tried to break into the vehicle but I have considered gorilla glue or taking it back to the dealer (I have a 3 month or 3,000 warranty but I'd prefer not taking off work and going through the hassle of going back to the dealer). We're having some subzero, windy weather right now so I am putting off doing anything with it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
