I have always loved experimenting w/ different recipes for patinas. I keep my potassium sulfide sealed in brown glass bottles. Light and air ruin it. One of my coolest patinas on a passive copper plating on steel was potassium sulfide, ammonium chloride, and sodium thiosulfate applied hot. Looks like textured leather.

@@Welddotcom You know the drill. Mix up copper sulfate in water and I use a bit of sulfuric acid and brush it on your clean steel to plate it. The plating/wash is really thin so stuff like vinegar and salt with ammonia vapor will eat it right off. I usually use my 10% sulfuric acid pickle bath as it becomes charged with copper ions during the process of cleaning post sil-brazing (I build large model live steam engines and boilers as a hobby). If you guys are pickling your bronze/brass/copper you probably have your plating bath already.

Could you give me any tips for welding pipe, I just finished up structural (not perfect) but I did pass all bend test. I'm using 6010 for root and 7018 fill. 6g position. I've been in school for about 3 months. Ngl that pipe is a whole different ball game to me.

I have a few videos inside the weld app on 2 and 5 g. I’ll get around to the 6G soon
