And,,, just remember, Gino wrote this song, sang this song, and played numerous instruments on the original soundtrack. Gino is an incredibly talented musician, singer and artist!!

Yeah, and incredibly, he was only 18 at the time he wrote it! A natural musical genius.

I saw Gino back around ahhhhh, 77 maybe? In Jacksonville Coliseum and it was probably one of the best sounding shows I've ever seen. They were smoking.

He might have 'worked the least' in this video, but he's about 71 or 72 now and he has worked his butt off for decades, dancing on the stage. So, he can slow down a little if he wants to. I'm glad the band was so good because his voice deserves the very best instrumentation. He has put in his time in sell-out concerts over the decades and worked really hard. You should watch some of his much earlier videos. Plus, he can play every single instrument in that band, and, he is a composer and songwriter. His own band is wonderful. He is a supremely talented and handsome man and deserves all the best kudos. You really should give him a really good review.❤

I agree. You try to sell Gino short. Who are you? Someone who really doesn't understand Gino's music in the first place...acting like he's some out of touch yacht rocker? He's one of the greatest artists of his time (or any time, for that matter). So have some respect for someone who has stood the test of time because of his immensely great talent, unlike so many in this age of rap (the ultimate lack of talent genre) and manufactured superstars like Kid Rock and Taylor Swift. Wake up, fool.

Yay! Canada!!! Gino went to school in Montreal with a friend of mine. He's fantastic and gorgeous.

Montreal in the Seventies was a fun place to hang out! My friend grew up on the same street as Gino! Her girlfriend dated the drummer from April Wine! She also sighted Mick Jagger walking through a MacDonalds! Good times!

I put Gino Vannelli on the turntable now and then, wife makes fun of it lol. She's 20 years younger them me, so I give her some slack.. but most of his albums have incredible production and top musicians!

My comment disappeared. Anyway, great show, great band. 2015, I think. My man Lamont Van Hook among the bg singers. Very cool to see. The rhythm section are comprised of Damian Erskine and Reinhardt Melz. And I believe the great ex-Yankee Bernie Williams is featured as a guest guitarist on a few tunes. Grew up listening to Gino’s work on Brother to Brother and The Nightwalker.

Don't you hate when you've written a long comment and it disappears! It's so cool that you know some of the band members. The guy that the channel belongs to didn't seem that excited about him, but I think he is out-of-this-world talented and beautiful!

Yes, when you sign with Herb Alpert, you have access to the entire Wrecking Crew, with Gino's brother's (Joe) music skills, he fit in quite well. What is almost laughable today, was very innovative in the 1970's. Joe was very pioneering with synthesizers and a brilliant studio geek. I think there was Joe, Gino and Ross as Vannelli brothers. In his interview, Joe says Gino was originally the drummer/vocalist. Then When Tom Jones became very big (especially in Canada being a British artist) their regular singer could not cover the Tom Jones material (probably very few rockers could), but they discovered that Gino had the "pipes" for it. That was it ... brother to brother from then on.

Now compare that to when it first came out in the early-mid 70's....the earlier is by far mind blowing, that's only because he's, and like most of us Gino hardcore fans aren't 25 anymore!

Yeah, Gino has a huge case of rockstar-itis, but he al ays assembled a smokin hot band. I got hip to Gino with his album Nightwalker, because Iwas a huge fan of Vinnie Colaiuta, hired gun I was a fan of since i heard his crazy dragging snare drum on Zappa’s Watermelon in Easter Hay

Hoping he comes to WA state in this recent tour. He did marry a girl from my hometown in the late 1970s. Don't know if they still are together.

Finally you're hitting someone I really like. I don't really consider him as disco rather just excellent quality music. I've seen him twice live, once back in college in the 70's and a few years ago here in New Orleans. The whole album is excellent, but my favorite album of his is "Storm at Sunup". Take a few minutes when you find time and check out the first 2 off the "Storm at Sunup" album that are meant to be listened to as one into the other. I know you like links, here it is: ruclips.net/video/YM7seYj7urk/видео.html
