I've been playing GT4 a lot lately and noticed today that Grid 2019 also features a lot of city tracks, including Paris and San Francisco! Maybe paying homage...
Amazing video, a ton of childhood in here... hours spent in front of a cathalitic TV (with relative headaches) from 7 to at least 14 yo (I consumed 2 CDs)... here my passion for Le Mans was consolidated and I cannot really tell how much hot laps I did around Le Sarhe with the incredible Group Cs and gorgeus GT1s, along the various protos from the early 2000s. And damn, how much I loved that 155 DTM... and the fact is... THAT IF IT WAS NOT FOR GT4 I WOULD NOT BE A VERY VERY PROUD OWNER OF A MARVELOUS "95 ALFA 155 V6 SPORT! 😁❤👍

Damn I miss Chamonix, Tahiti maze and all the other rally tracks. You can tell polyhony put a lot of thought into those tracks. Hope some will be brought back to GT7, especially the two I mentioned earlier - absolute legends imo.

Going back and looking at these old games makes me mad. You go back and see just how great gaming was back then. It was about delivering a great experience and product, there was an actual strive to push things forward and be creative. You could just put in the game and play it all the way through with no bullshit. But now gaming is mainstream and the suits walked in. All it is now is a money making scheme, very little creativity, developers doing one botched release after another, games coming out undercooked and/or heavily centered around forced multiplayer and siphoning money out of people. The current state of Gran Turismo is sad, were never going another focused gt like this ever again.
If Gran Turismo 7 brings back these tracks Special Stage 5 and 11 (and 7) Sonoma Raceway (updated of course to 2022) Twin Ring Motegi Tokyo R246 (updated to 2022 Tokyo design) Grand Canyon Chamonix Cote d'Azur (updated to 2022 Monaco GP design hopefully with an extra Formula E old layout) it'll be one of the best games of PS5 despite the current issue at the moment...
Can this still LAN system link for driver multi-screen? If so, tips? Can this be done for the NTSC-U/C beta online release that was recently revived online?
@@alonsocarrasco5460 super slow shifting, in real life you can shift way faster. also, many race cars had h pattern gearboxes indeed but they had straight cut gears, no clutch needed to shift. take for example the 905 in motegi, it just is embarassing
@bunta_wrx yeah it’s definitely weird. They shift like manuals, but sound like sequentials. Not only that but there’s not even a H pattern shifter or clutch function in the game either, granted force feedback wheels were in their infancy in 2005
The 905 is an exception as in unexplicably awful, but for the most part they aren't really that different from how you'd expect them to behave, eg the GTr prototype does shift absurdly smooth

Too many racing cars went missing... Especially the 350/Fairlady Z Concept LM. Unless they bring back those cars despite the online sports thing, everyone will drive the WRX Gr.3 only.
I always forgot how absolutely terrible the sound design was for this game. Every single car has the same transmission whine that’s way louder than any other sound from the vehicle. I wonder if that’s a fault of the game engine itself, because I can’t imagine that being intentional.

I really do miss the fuji speedway 80's and 90's track layout wish they kept it on GT5 and onwards as legends tracks
GT6 had the classic versions of Brands Hatch and Monza track layouts at least to make up not having Fuji classic layouts.

Using a Logitech G29, and the game has ABS by default, can’t disable it unlike GT5 and later

The racing altezza can be obtained by winning the altezza manufacture race, and I'm pretty sure the camera is indeed modified.

Next time you want to showcase the tracks, try using only road cars. Using rally cars on dirt tracks is getting boring and too mainstream.
