Even switching from DirectX 11 back to 10 and 10.1. Dropping every option to Normal and lowering resolution down to 1280x720. No matter the settings and resolution I only get about 30 FPS in game but if I move my character left or right, it stutters and drops to 4 FPS. I did attempt this with multiple softwares and even with my FPS locked I keep having those FPS drops in RAGEMP which last a ridiculous long time and occur at completely random moments and places. They drop as low to 5 or even less, you get the idea. It's almost like my game is completely frozen. A note: This PC is completely new, I installed all the drivers and w/e. Others games run smoothly without any issue at all. I took it back to the store because I raised questions why this is happening, they took it in and did a couple of tests and claim the computer is completely fine. Thus it looks like something with my PC just doesn't like RAGEMP (Or maybe its still GTAV after all, who knows!) I'm not sure if its related but if it helps, these solutions do /NOT/ fix the problem with FPS dips to even 1fps that last for 10/20 seconds: I already tried to reinstall windows (Despite it being a fresh new PC) Updated & reinstalled my drivers Put a FPS lock on it, tried multiple ones such as 180, 144, 120,... Checked my temperatures, everything is smooth and not overheating. uninstall ragemp and install it again uninstall gta 5 and install it again reinstall nvidia drivers reboot pc disable steam friend list animated avatars Disable all overlays such as instant replay and whatsoever turn off background software like rgb control Tried ragemp completely vanilla without any user_resource mods turn vsync off / on Try to lower the grass quality (Since people complain about that doing their fps bad) FXAA on / off MXAA on and off, tried them all. (It doesn't look like a graphical setting problem honestly) tried both windowed borderles and full screen tried different DirectX versions in settings Pulled out my second monitor. You're welcome!
Hi bro , My gta 5 has problem I am facing each time…
I download the original game from steam
After that when I played, it was giving constant 70-85 fps even when I had played for 5hrs straight without a break at night,
But in morning when I tryna play it’s lowering FPS to 40-50
Why is this happening?
My laptop is ASUS TUF A15 Ryzen 5 4600H GTX 1560 4GB VRAM with 16GB DDR4 RAM….. please help someone 🙏🙏
will this work to ryzen 5 5600x and gtx 1660 super?
I tried capped and uncapped .. still frame drops like hell. My spec are
Gtx1650
i3+12100f
8gb ram
Enough spcae and good internet speed and connection
Because your ram only 8gb wich is the cause of the frame drop randomly
Thank you man !
Same I have RTX 2080 8GB Max-Q, 16gb ram, i7 9k
Still stutters lol
I have ryzen 5 5600X, 3070 Founder Edition, Stuttering is normal for GTA5 ??? Please Reply me 🥺🙏🏻
It's normal, but fixable!!
hey I have a 1660 and I put the cap at 144 and I still keep getting lag, what should I put it on so it could stop the lag?,
Its impossible for me to even play gta online
Try 165
I changed GTA5 exe and GTA5 Launcher exe to both 60 FPS Background and 120 FPS Max. Still stuttering. My specs: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, RTX 4070 running at 1920x1080, 165Hz monitor, 32 GB RAM, and GTA 5 is installed on an M.2. I have the latest Nvidia driver (as of Sept 2024). I have tried everything! Even switching from DirectX 11 back to 10 and 10.1. Dropping every option to Normal and lowering resolution down to 1280x720. No matter the settings and resolution I only get about 30 FPS in game but if I move my character left or right, it stutters and drops to 4 FPS. It has been a couple years since I played GTA 5 and when it first came out... I had absolutely no issues and I was on a 1080 Ti card then. I don't get it!
Me too bro
Me too 💔
@@kindlegends3182 Oh it gets even better now... Remembering I played this game back in the day without issues on my i7 4770K, 16gb RAM, Windows 10, and NVIDIA GTX 1070 Ti running at 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz/60 FPS. I decided that since I still have that old system because I converted it to a server ... I installed GTA 5 on it and low and behold... settings are set at max everything with all the AA, Tesselation, textures and other bells and whistles maxed out... NO STUTTER! And it maintains 60 FPS! SO... What is up with this game not working with RTX cards right out of the gate? My RTX 4070 can run circles around my 1070 Ti in all other games. But GTA 5 will only work well on the 1070 Ti... using the exact same settings as the RTX 4070. This is just stupid and I'm amazed with all the comments and threads all over the web about it... it's still not addressed in 2024. Now where's my beer since this game just got me heated! ;)

My game somehow suddenly runs smooth in GTAV without any problem (At first it did, then it magically stopped doing that)
Now I dont give a shit about GTAV base game but I play on RAGEMP (A multiplayer client for GTAV that has roleplayer servers etc)
I've been trying to find an answer through many sources and noticed that many people suggest to lock the FPS in GTAV to 120 because of its engine issues when you run high FPS in GTAV.
Thus it looks like something with my PC just doesn't like RAGEMP (Or maybe its still GTAV after all, who knows!)
I'm not sure if its related but if it helps, these solutions do /NOT/ fix the problem with FPS dips to even 1fps that last for 10/20 seconds:
I already tried to reinstall windows (Despite it being a fresh new PC)
Updated & reinstalled my drivers
Put a FPS lock on it, tried multiple ones such as 180, 144, 120,...
Checked my temperatures, everything is smooth and not overheating.
uninstall ragemp and install it again
uninstall gta 5 and install it again
reinstall nvidia drivers
reboot pc
disable steam friend list animated avatars
Disable all overlays such as instant replay and whatsoever
turn off background software like rgb control
Tried ragemp completely vanilla without any user_resource mods
turn vsync off / on
Try to lower the grass quality (Since people complain about that doing their fps bad)
FXAA on / off
MXAA on and off, tried them all. (It doesn't look like a graphical setting problem honestly)
tried both windowed borderles and full screen
tried different DirectX versions in settings
Pulled out my second monitor.
In short: ITS FUCKED
for me capping made the game feel a bit choppy not sure why :(
Question my menu stutters but when i play the game runs perfect without drops but 3mins later its just closes without errors . If it just me then damn , bc my specs are WAY above requirements in terms of the models .
Thank you so much
Thanks you bro for breaking my computer
mine is 7800x3d and 4070 super, stuttering and black screen. i have reinstalled the game but the issues still remain. gonna try this. hope it will work. please 😢
Bro it works or not
MAN UR GOD AMD BEST GUY EVER THANK U MAN
u said video for max framerate for gta 5 only in description, but it isnt
Still stutters for me :(
Then cap the fps to 120 sometimes it still stutters at 144. The pc only needs to be close to 188 for it to stutter
my gta v is stuttering with rtx 2060 and 7 3700x
This could be a heat problem. Check your temperatures using HWINFO or other monitoring software, and see if there are spikes
This settings safe ???
thanks it worked 50 to 195 fps amazing tutorial sub go in and like :)
Love you
Didn't fix for me intel i5 11600k and rtx 2080 ti cpu and gpu usage at arround 50 % still stutters
I don’t have this method in Nvidia control panel because I have low end laptop with hot 525M, is there a alternative way to cap the fps?
You can do this in Windows settings, and set it to a lower display refresh rate :)
Just do it from the start menu in gta 5, got to settings in the start menu of gta 5 then graphics and set it to 140 or whatever you want to try I have it at 140hz,
PC: rtx 3080 12GB ROG Strix with Ryzen 9 5900X
I have the same problem with 4O8O
you are the best fr
