The Scarlet Monastery/Hearthglenn/Tyrs Hand/Stratholme/Scarlet Enclave/Northrend/Fenris isle was merely a setback
Defeat was merely a setback.
@@akiyamach Setback was merely a setback
Hey wait... Wasn't that line belonged to a certain Sin'dorei Princeling?
Avalon too.
I can't wait for "The Argent Dawn" to FINALLY go after "The Scarlet Crusade"! Seriously, that was such a MISSED OPPORTUNITY!!! As a carnie from "The Darkmoon Faire", I can happily say that having that Scarlet Quartermaster around has most definitely helped with this opportunity for sacrifice and bloodshed at long last! For "The Old Gods"!
10:18 Acherus: The Ebon Hold is not over Tyr's Hand, it was moved to The Broken Shore in Legion and then to Icecrown in Shadowlands where it is still helping fight the undead from the SL pre-patch event that everyone just forgot about.... Blizzard kind of forgot to wrap that story line up after they turned the Helm of Domination into the Burger King Crown as that event should technically still be going on.
Acherus is not still over Tyr's Hand.
They moved it to Broken Isles in Legion and to Ice Crown Citadel during Shadowlands.
Lol now its back in Eastern Plaguelands after Shadowlands brilliant one.
It's like Dalaran, it's wherever the writers want it to be.
@@DarkScreamGames To be fair, at least they set that up in the past and didn't just pull it out of their hat like a lot of modern lore.
@@EternalClouds No in game it's still off the Broken shore because of Class Hall requirements but canonically its still helping stem the rampage of the undead now that the Helm of Domination has been destroyed as seen in the Death Rising Shadowlands pre-patch event because its still technically going on and will continue to do so now that the Helm has been reforged into the Burger King Crown.
@@trindleshadowmane2495 False It's in Eastern Plaguelands in Dragonflight for everyone lol.
To be honest, the scarlet crusade have more of a right to claim Lordaeron than the alliance. They've stayed, fighting to protect their land for decades. Scarlet crusade as the third faction incoming
If i remember right during the Forsaken heritage, you straight up encounter a named Grand Champion and Inquisitor escape through a portal if you run around the island and find it so they are definitely coming back
i bet in 20 years we will still fight these boring lunatics (assuming wow is still operational)
The scarlets is the best story line in Warcraft now. I’d love to be friendly with them as a faction. So much lore there.
I'd love to see an old world update where Stratholme is fully retaken by Scarlets. It still is a dungeon but completely modernized and fresh for an updated Eastern Kingdoms.
Scarlet Crusade winning would create a new northern empire. Let it happen, Blizzard.
During herritage questline, scarlets have also their own new voicelines, which is something huge in future.
I know it would never happen, but joining the Scarlets to retake Lordaeron would be sick.
Never say never
For Lordaeron!
We need a new Scarlet momm~ I mean a new memorable Scarlet Crusade boss like Whitemane
Sally Thiccmane is one of a kind.
Wonder if the writers and Devs realize this conflict is so complicated the Alliance and Horde will have to fight again because of Lorderon.
nha, they can't properly handle that level of writing and BFA wasn't long ago enough
It would be an easy way back into Horde vs Alliance
That would be so dumb, we would just be back to the same old bs when the void hit or w/e other big bad comes...no more faction was bs please.
Sorry I fell asleep again from another forced war over convoluted reasons
their gonna peacefully talk it out and sing kumbaya.
Then sylvanas shows up completely redeemed because she saved all the souls or something.
Anduin is gonna vouch for Sylvanas. "Who killed Saurfang again? that's right, it was Zovaal."
”That would be warcraft”
It would, indeed. But we all know we’ll instead get a cinematic full of hugging and snugging
With Metzen being an Executive Directive
I am looking forward on his direct story work with The New Scarlet Crusade
This comment is HUGE!!!!
Not as long as Steve Denuzer is there
What i would want to see is that the scarlet crusade gets reinforced by Yrel in draenor, they both fight for the light and there is no doubt both would abhore undead.
Ontop of that the forsaken is allied with orcs which are the enemy of Yrel, making an alliance even more sense.
The Scarlet Crusade is exactly the kind of content we need to re-ignite that WarCraft flame that was been flickering since at least Shadowlands. Something exciting again.
Man, I hope the Scarlets win for once. It's so boring how they show these villainous forces being capable of surviving but every time they're pitted against the factions they just instantly lose.
Sounds like a scooby doo episode
A paramilitary force of zealots out to cleanse the plaguelands is no match for the endless wave of galaxy-level murder hobos that made mince of the Burning Legion and killed off the secret Ultra Satan that was the mastermind of all evil in the universe (i still can't believe they thought was a good idea)
At this point I don't think Blizzard can handle the Scarlet Crusade.
i still wonna join the Scarlet Crusade. For the Light!
The Based Crusade will never die.
Lordaeron for the living.
I hope we actually can join them, and not just fight against them. I rather want to fight against the Undead then helping them as Human.
I mean, it's not like Scarlet Commander Forsythe is wrong after all the things the forsaken have done since vanilla. Just like Admiral Proudmoor in hindsight regarding Garrosh then and now the newly corrupted mag'har. Forsaken will always be evil and hating the living just like Orcs will always be drawn to war and demons.
Giving Daelin credit for Sylvanas’ transgressions seems a bit rich at this point.
A fight between the Argent, the Scourge and the Scarlets? Ah yes the ASS war, yes indeed
I thought the Acherus moved to the Broken Isles during the events of Legion?
yea and later Acherus was in Northend in the SL intro-quest... I guess Acherus has been away from Tyr's hand for quite some time
I wish Blizzard gives players at least a chance to choose what to do in the whole Scarlet-Gilneas-Forsaken situation, constantly fighting the Scarlets gets tiring considering to a degree they are right in what they do.
"Just like you with you very own eyes.... have seen todays sponsor" I literally burst out laughing hahaha.
10:21 Hasn't Acherus moved to the Broken Shore according to the lore? at least I've seen no lorewise confirmation that Acherus ever moved back to the Eastern Plaguelands after the Legion campaign. In which case Tyr's Hand would probably be desirable for the Scarlet Crusade.
It's in northrend right now. They moved it in shadowlands
for better or worse the Scarlet Brotherhood are like cockroaches, just when you think you squash one faction, another pops up
you cant kill the good guys
More like herpes. Always there with the occasional flareup.
yep or whack a maul
I feel like since theres no real reason for horde and alliance to be fighting now, in the pvp mechanic sense, it makes sense to introduce rep faction based pvp zones etc
I love these videos, they make the world feel so alive to me. Sometimes it feels like wow is just stagnant story wise but they way you present it here and use in game models to show what youre saying makes everything feel so alive.
This is the single greatest thing I've waited for in the game lore-wise!
Me too! Hails!
Be sure to keep your hopes measured. The modern lore writers for WoW aren't like the old ones, to say the least.
Scarlet Brotherhood and Deathstalker Belmont renown tracks for PvP players would be a fun idea, honestly.
The alliance funding, an army of extremists as to not officially break. The armistice sounds like a good way of no longer, making them the designated Good Guys. Perhaps leading to the creation of even a major villain.
I hope they Return with a Scarlet Painted Necropolis that they stole from the Undead in Northrend... =)
A new mythic difficulty dungeon being the three way fight for strat would be dope! Maybe get Death Knights in there for the scourge?
I would love if they give Strat to the Alliance and make a big Frontline for the 5th War.
@@your-username-here2308 I like that, but I’d assume Genn would rather take back Gilneas or die trying
Let. Us (The Alliance). Join. Them!
Come on Blizzard, let us be the bad guys for ONCE! Let us get our Light on! Before Metzen comes back and every story is finished with "And then Thrall saved the day.....again! The End...."
the ebon hold's last known location was icecrown and before that the broken isles, so i dont really think we should consider the old ebon hold to still be hovering above light's hope
I wonder if we can show Genn the Old Wolf manuscript and make him more paraniod than he already is or make the entire Alliance trust the Scarlet Crusade even less, I mean, even if it wasn't carried out someone DID plan to kill the King of Gilneas
I would love some more Lore on Cilia. Her being lightbound undead is interesting to me and I want more backstory for it. I also have always loved the Scarlet Brotherhood stories. But I honestly don't think we'll get anymore stuff with them. I have a feeling they've moved on from that story already.
Because they’re isn’t anymore story to them…
They were a bunch of radical zealots that after the scouring of Lordaeron hated everyone because they didn’t trust anyone anymore.
Their base of operations was Heartglen and the monastery was just a forward outpost.
After the destruction of the monastery they regrouped back in Heartglen.
After which the Scourge pretty much killed most part of them off in Lordaeron (Death Knight introduction questline)
And we then dealt what we thought was going to be the final blow to them on Northrend.
But a small section survived of their forces after the scouring of Heartglen to take refuge again in the Monastery.
They were betrayed on the inside by their leader who turned out to be Mal’Ganis…
That’s it.
They were extinct but because Danuser ran out of ways, they’ll just recycle old enemies because the new ones are lame and boring
stupid quirky character that doesnt gel at all with the forsaken i hate her so much, shes the equivalent of that lysander bloke becoming a warden in the nelf campaign for the forsaken
As long as this story thread ends with Undead Paladins, I'd be very pleased. The existence of Alonsus Faol and Calia only gives me more hope for Undead Paladins. Faol is pretty much the father of Paladins. What if they could retake Stratholme and rededicate Alonsus Chapel to this new order of Paladins? Not likely to happen but I'd love it.
Gotta love those Aratheye Highlands 😅
None of this matters. We already faced every existential crisis knows to mankind, the little scarlet crusade humans? They don't mean shit. UNLESS, we put them in Classic+....
I would love nothing more than a Sylvanas vs Saurfang-esque player choice but for Alliance where we can choose to support Genn and the Scarlet forces retake Gilneas or support the peace treaty-abiding Alliance factions. I've loved the Scarlet Crusade ever since I started the game way back in TBC. The Scarlets have had some bad folks take advantage of them over the years, but I wholly understand their goals. Lordaeron is their home, or at this point their ancestral home, and it's been covered in undead for the past several decades while the Alliance has done nothing to try to help them all this time. If a bunch of zombies took my town, I'd wanna kill them all without question too. Plus you have the fact they're generally a very religious-minded folk so you have the added ambition to save these undead's souls by giving them their final death.
Honestly I expect Blizzard to make the leader be another dreadlord in disguise again so they can say "Haha, led by an evil thing again!" as if that erases the legitimate claims the normal Scarlets hold.
as someone who stopped playing after legion and plays classic having that choice would be a heck of a carrot to call me back to retail. that and the faction conflict it the heart of Warcraft, with the big bads just being a side quest at least that's how I have always seen it.
Bell, we need a vid on the more domant kingdoms! Alterac, Stromgarde etc., what's their status? How will they react to everything? Who's poised to take their thrones? Would be a banger!
That would be blizzard caring too much about their own lore, they'll never do the humans kingdoms justice. An arc of redemption for Alterac. status on Stromgarde, advancing stories for Gilneas, Kul Tiras !
I hope you're incorrect. But I agree, they'd rather rehash the same expansion again and again, ie. some stupid island that pops up somewhere with the same world quests.@@alvaromneto
@@alvaromneto I've actually read up on the lore of each kingdom.
Alterac: Destroyed, with its remaining elements joining various groups. The biggest of these is the Syndicate, which still operates, but is basically the Defias without the charm.
Stromgarde: Rebuilt and protected. Arathi belongs to the Alliance.
Gilneas: Being offered to Genn as a peace offering from Calia. Likely Scarlets are hiding about, waiting to recruit Genn and his people.
Kul Tiras: Business as usual. Nothing's really going to happen to Kul Tiras, given how we fixed a good majority of its issues during BFA.
Arathi is the ancestral home of humanity.
Honestly this. I'm kinda over having to deal with old gods and dragons and world ending events. The idea of dealing with something as simple of the crusade appeals to me greatly. Almost like old school WOW
dude i love you promotions in the beginning lol no cap
Lordaeron hosts so many cool and complex stories. I’m a bit unsure if I fully trust them to develop them successfully with so many themes being about actual war between factions, murders, etc. If at some point we get to them, they cannot be about unity or peace, they have to feel like the Forsaken heritage questline.
Ever since those propaganda materials revealed themselves, you've mentioned a few times about how WoW's narrative team have hinted that the Alliance is overdue for some internal conflict. Perhaps the emergence of the Scarlets, with goals aligned with Greymane, is said conflict's spark. Anduin/Turalyon vs Greymane/Scarlets. Each side has their 'establishment' figure with Anduin and Greymane, and each side has a radical in Turalyon and the Scarlets.
It'd be interesting for the franchise to simultaneously provide the forever dead vs undead purpose of the battlegrounds while yet giving all players the opportunity to champion the right of the Forsaken to exist and hold territory.
Scarlet Crusade for third faction!!! Run the zombies out of Lordaeron, take it back!!! Garithos for Prez!!! Tell the Highborne they can assault the undead with nothing but harsh words and sticks!! Next expansion = Humanlords of Lordaeron, where we go back in time via a convoluted plot scheme and save Garithos so that he can become Supreme Lord of Lordaeron, Emperor of the Eastern Kingdoms and King of Kalimdor! Additional titles will include Prince of Pandaria, Noble Knight of Northrend, Baron of the Broken Shores, Djinn of the Dragon Isles, you get the picture!!! Garithos will be lord of all, and Sylvanas and Kael’thas will serve as his personal servants!!! Alexstrasza will be his personal transport!!!
The scarlets returning would be grand, so much more story to tell and quests to complete. I can imagine that part of the new Scarlets are made out of the children of the original members (they've had years to get busy), not to mention refugees from Lordaeron, Alterac, Dalaren and Stromgarde, and very likely also those who attended the gathering, and saw those they'd loved amongst the forsaken be annihilated, which'd make some vengeful, and others completely lose hope for a lasting peace with an enemy that kills it's own on a whim. It'd take some story telling chops to pull off, which the ones who wrote the orc heritage questline shows can be summoned up when Blizzard applies itself.
Honestly, I personally subscribe to the idea that the Scarlets send missionaries all over the world to convince humans to take up arms in defense and liberation of the lands of Lordaeron. They have humans from all corners of the kingdom, many of whom likely converted to the Scarlet faith. It's actually a very convincing argument, that of the Scarlet Crusade.
I thought the Scarlet Crusade merged with the Argent Dawn to form the Argent Crusade in WOTLK...
It was The silver hand and the Argent Dawn who merged if i remember correctly
@@viginza Ah yes, that's right. My bad.
this was actuly funny xddd i had a good laugh about it ty.
It would be dope AF if Strath got layered like the UC, so that in one phase it's old Strath to be farmed as usual, and in the other it becomes a rebuilt city that has a raid and dungeons where it's a whole zone full of Scarlets where the Horde and Alliance can do quests to destroy outside farms and garrisons, then eventually weaken the city's defenses, concluding in a siege of the City where we breach the Walls, and clear out like 2-3 Dungeons in certain parts of the City culminating in a raid at the Center of the City.
your nuts as Alliance i want to help them, not fight them.
The best thing to do is to have "good" scarlet crusaders who still have honor, but also reasons to distrust the Horde and Alliance and having internal politics in the Scarlet Crusade that leads some parts of the crusade to wilfully sacrifice the rest for the cause.
Warcraft is at its best when choices are presented as desperate and we see people commit to either survival or their own codes. We need to see characters regress to the worst versions of themselves when things stop working out and to see characters stick to their guns, even if their sacrifices turn up to nothing or if this drives them deeper into the arms of darkness than anyone could anticipate.
Cant wait for scarlet crusades attack on undercity the perfect chance for sylvanas to come back and save the city
If they had the balls....and they dont... have the scarlet brotherhood achieve their goals and rule Lorderon.
The Ancestral home of humanity was Arathi.
Remember... Scarlet Crusade's torture methods mirror Revendreth's. Z'Rali the Naaru is "too tainted" to return to the Light. "Scarlet" Crusade. What colour was Revendreth associated with again?
I know people don't like Shadowlands, but Revendreth was one of the only parts of the lore that was good.
As far as I’m concerned, with all the retcons blizzard did, who says that the scarlet monastery isn’t telling the truth and blizzard is the real propagandist??
"He's one of the old guard" So probably a dreadlord, then.
Is it wrong I hope they win… not forever but maybe for half an expansion or so? And actually make them a raid tier…
So if he is born of the princess wouldn’t he still be heir ?
I really wish the Scarlets finally win. It would be really cool if Lordaeron could be rebuilt. As a mainly Forsaken player, I'd approve of it.
I know it will never happen but, it is a man's right to dream isn't it?
cant join the scarlet crusade but u can join the death knights and the knights of the ebon blade -..........................-
You don't join the Ebon Blade. You're made to become part of it after you are raised from death and go through numerous trials to become a member of it.
"blizz dont want you to join that sort of organisation"
But playing forsaken who tortures and go with chemical warfare is okay ? Why wouldnt we be able to joim the crusade who knows more than ever have a good objective
I dont see where it is "understandable"
Really hope they wont go with the same trend "they are corrupted from the inside"
Scarlet joins the Alliance with the new king of the Alliance. New human costum. with Whitemane skin for priest.
DEATH TO THE FORSAKEN
SCARLET CRUSADE FTW
One thing I do wish is that they brought back Abbendis. She was far more interesting than the Lich King writers were willing to give her credit for. I wish there was more to it than just killing her in a quest.
I like this plotline more than any other wow one in the works. If we could join the Crusade as Alliance I'd do so just to see how far we could push it, but Blizz doesn't have the guts.
Could moderate them, have them help Yrel come to Azeroth with her own armies. Political schemeing within the Alliance, fracturing it from within.
100% i would leave the alliance to rebuild lordaeron with the scarlets
How does this storyline fit into the current expansion? I don't see any of this in game in Dragonflight.
I wish the forsaken elves was a playable faction omg
Now your talking FOR LORDERON DEATH TO THE FORSAKEN!!!!
honestly, just make an offshoot game with the Scarlet Brotherhood. Leave all the other shit behind. Gimme SCARLETS!!!!
The Scarlet Crusade needs a redemption Arc. They went from good guys to bad guys. Now it’s time for them to rebecome the good guys.
We need to see the SC being freed of Balnazzar, redeemed, and fighting alongside the Argent Crusade to retake Lordaeron.
No one gives af about a new big bad. We want some worldbuilding.
Argent Crusade doesn't have the balls to go against the Forsaken, only the Scarlet Crusade
would be a fun clash between nathrezim and lightforged forces about whos gonna use the Scarlets x)
Didn't Calia merry Deathwing in human form?
They did say at the end of the heritage armor that the Scarlet Crusade is still out there
inb4 they completely forget they exist like 99 percent of these little things that blizzard does
Is there an inside joke/reason he says "Apocathery" and not "apothecary"? No hate, just wondering if I'm unaware of something, or if it's a harmless mistake.
archerus is on broken Isles
If Blizz, in all their "wisdom" (stupidity) let another Dreadlord take over a leader of the Scarlet, it would be the ultimate fucking shit they will ever do! This happened once or twice... ok, now SC should have learned from their dramatic past and have some way to detect such things....! ENOUGH with the SC being a punching bag, after all the sacrifices they have also made!!
Afterall, they were tricked by a Dreadlord!
Its also important to note that calia had a girl not a boy....this scarlet crusade is on something. Im suprised they arent questioning the light and why the light would raise a being into undeath
I don't know what's scarier an army of zombies or an army of furry
The scarlet are a bit wrong with the last of the Arathi bloodline being Anduin Lothar, which means if they are right then a new last arathi shows up or Anduin got with a very young Calia With Anduin Lothar death in the second war.
If we don't get Scarlet Brotherhood as a playable race I'm gonna riot.
How are they a seperate race? kul tirans were pushing that butbtheyre different enough. SC are just red coloured paladins, just transmog a warrior or pally 😂
It's a faction, not a separate race.
That music, got me chill, 😮, nice video
I do wonder how far they could come without Balnazzar or other dreadlord self sabotaging all their efforts
Any ETA for a series of Blizzcon 2023 prediction videos?
I truly hope to see high inquisitor whitemane coming into scene and making her present again
"Propaganda". Long live the Scarlet Crusade! Crush all non-believers!
I sure hope that we are coming back to the old world!
Archerus is over northrend in the lore right now.
Would Blizz REALLY be against introducing a Scarlet Crusade/Brotherhood/Onslaught rep? They already have a full set of Scarlet transmogs now; and aligning with “bad” factions (Blood Sail Buccaneers for example) wouldn’t be new.
If you think for a little bit I think it's pretty clear why they might not want players to work for a hyper xenophobic, racist, religious fundamental movement lol
Daddy Dee was the only good thing to come out of Shadowlands, I certainly hope Blizzard doesn't forget about him!
Strom Is the ancestral home of humanity, not Lordaeron.
dont know what you mean players would love to join the crusade, dont understand the problem while having other factions like the forsaken?
finally, something interesting to look forward to in warcraft!
i want a scralet crusade patch
