Because the forsaken are not good at making things better they just move in and everything goes south. The forsaken living in Undercity while there was a massive pre-established city above them is the human equivalent of living in just your houses closet but not going into your house.
Because Blizzard has hamstrung themselves with the fixation that the two factions must remain relatively equal in strength. This prevents any significant defeat of one side or the other, such as the complete wiping out of the forsaken. In addition, Sylvannas was a very popular character, and they wanted to milk her for all she was worth before finally retiring her.

This new threat would be acknowledged by Horde and Alliance, but put aside since first we have to deal with Thunder King. TheRobochicken5494 Yeah they were humans and elves who wanted to take revenge on the Lich King so they joined the Horde to have allies but they could also have joined the alliance
Nixxiom, thank you so much for recapping Warcraft lore here. Especially on topic of the Scarlet Crusade which most of us Vanilla WoW players (a WoW players in general) would remember running through Scarlet Monastery -- and fighting good 'ol Herod back in the day. You have an excellent knack for storytelling and I hope you continue to do videos like this in addition to your "How to" series. Thanks again.
So the split in the timeline occurs during Vanilla? Would it be possible that, since the Scarlet Crusade is destroying the scourge, that the Blood Elves of Silvermoon offered to join forces with them as well? At that point, they hadn't joined the horde, and their realm lies close to the Eastern Plaguelands. It just seems like something they would do for the chance at revenge. They kinda fit the 'Crimson' theme as well. Just an idea to toss around.
We would've killed Garrosh(raid boss...again) without much effort and Thrall didn't do anything usefull after their duel anyway so don't think much would've changed lorewise :)
if you saw warcraft film, Guldan uses Fel against Durotan and became called cheater in that duel, but when Thrall uses elements in makgora against Garrosh? he just win ? vote for Garrosh Trump only true warchief and btw he wasnt controlled by old gods he control its power !
Helping Garrosh win was the key to defeating the Legion! Granted, we would have a Dark Titan that would completely destroy the whole universe, but hey, atleast the Legion is finally gone, which is nice!
***** The Legion and the Old Gods are LITERALLY the worst of enemies - Sargeras created the Legion purely to fight them. So, yes, corrupted Garrosh winning would've literally given the Void Lords dominion over the whole Universe
Very fun stuff. I think the only thing I'd have added would have been a mention of Alexandros Mograine in Naxxramas- would have been interesting to have had a confrontation between he and Renault there.
If memory serves, it required a great deal of magical energy for the Argent Dawn to breach the magical barriers that guarded Naxxramas, which is why they would only invest those resources to the greatest of champions. That was the attunement quest for Naxxramas anyway. I just think that the battle between the Crusade and the Scourge seemed a little bit easily won, and that they gained entry pretty easy.
I have a bunch of ideas for alternate Warcraft videos. What if prophet velen joined kiljaedan and archimonde? What if garrosh wasn't defeated In the siege of orgrimmar? What if the worgen were never created by the Druids? What if queen Azshara refused to become a naga? What if all the orcs drank guldans demon blood? What if they all drank the demon blood? What if someone other than bolvar foredragon became the new loch king? What if kiljaedan caught up to and killed the Draenei? What if malfurion was killed by xavius in valsharah?
Judging by the maps you've shown, I think it's safe to assume that the Azeroth we experience in WoW is a much smaller, scaled down version of how big the real planet is in lore.
thats what´s really sad about wow it would have been more challenging and satisfying if it took like a whole day walking across entire eastern kingdoms. a half day if you were riding one second if you used a portal XD
Come on, where are my Scarlet brothers in arms? Raise the banners and may this video breath new life into our cause! FOR LORDAERON, FOR THE SCARLET CRUSADE!
Nixxiom to replace Metzen! Damn, dude, you are awesome, I love these types of videos, even though I'm kinda late in finding this... Never the less, great content! Forever a memeber of Nixxiom's Scourge Army ^^
See, you're missing something vitally important; The Ashbringer. At some point the Scarlets would have encountered the undead original Ashbringer and after a grueling battle they would have freed him from undeath by ending him and taking the blade... Which would have allowed the former champion of the light to tell the leaders who killed him and why. While the Scarlet Crusaders are zealots, the possibility of one of the leaders of the crusade being a secret Scourge agent would have to be followed up and investigated... and if Commander Mograine was to confess under questioning that he was given his position for betraying and murdering his father with the aid of the Scourge at the orders of the Grand Crusader, shit would hit the fan.
I agree, it would have been a far more interesting turnout. The Dreadlords deserved to win, their plan was too flawless. The way that this was written in WOW was flawed to say the least. The Battle For Undercity was just stupid. How did all the forces of Northrend make it to Lordaeron fast enough? How did they catch up that Varimathras was behind it all. How did the Lich King not intervene and use it as an opportunity to ravage their lands? How can you expect the Alliance and Horde to establish a huge army at Lordaeron when they are stuck in the middle of a war against the Scourge, it's bullshit. Even so, how could Sylvanas prove her innocence so quickly? She would have been slaughtered on the spot. Varimathras and Balnazzar's plan was too perfect, it was basically impossible for them to lose... but Blizzard made sure that the good guys always win because in WOW, the good guys never lose.
The Dreadlords failed because the scarlet crusade never lived up to the plan. Fordring was never killed. Worse he went on to forge a far more acceptable counter force to the litchking. The Argent dawn is pivitol in the failure of the Scarlet Crusade. In this scenario the Argent dawn never gets up the steam the Scarlet Crusade did. So the Alliance decided to side with the winning team and overlook the crusades less than savory attitudes. Additionally it was the Dawn that sent heroes in to Stratholem. There in they found brought back the knowledge of the Crusades dark secret. Cementing it's failure. Here that didn't happen. Later on Varimothras is left to carry out at rebellion during the Northrend campaign without the scarlet crusade to back it up. Likely he only staged it because he believed the forsaken plague would be weapon enough to win. This was clearly a big miscalculation. The forces of the Alliance and Horde descended on the city with a big chip on their shoulders from wrath gate. It's arguable, I think, that without the betrayal at wrath gate the alliance wouldn't have gotten involved right away in the Lorderon rebellion. The day could have fallen in Varimothras's hands if his lackies hadn't killed Bolvar.
lordundeadrat What is this nonsense? The scarlet crusade lost because the Ebon Knights came right the fuck out of nowhere and slaughtered many of them. Tirion had nothing to do with it all, the scarlet crusade failed before he was even involved. Regardless their plan was flawless, you just have to look at it realistically. Everyone is in northrend fighting the lich king. Varimathras took this as an opportunity to occupy Lordaeron. There is no way that they could have come all the way from Northrend just to deal with this threat nor would they have the intel or knowledge about it all. It seems that news of the wrathgate was delivered almost instantly out of thin air. Thrall believed Sylvanas' claims without question even though her race is responcible for murdering his people. It really didn't add up at all. Blizzards weakest storytelling ever. Because WOW being WOW, the dreadlords failed. However if it was Warcraft 4 I guarentee the Dreadlords would have succeeded in their plan because the Forsaken were NEVER ALLIES WITH THE HORDE so Sylvanas would be screwed, word would never reach the alliance or horde and the entire Forsaken faction would be hated. However the Dreadlords would use this to their advantage and to act as a scapegoat to conquer Azeroth. Fordring couldn't do jack shit about it by then because the demons would have appeared from within Lordaeron and... well just look at what happened to him in Legion. Balnazzar pretty much succeded in his mission which was to command a force of humans which would ultimately decimate the Forsaken, Varimathras was the one who failed and that's because WOW fucked it all up. Even with the Ebon Knights, Balnazzar still had his risen army and Mal'ganis took control over the remaining scarlets. And do not even think about relating anything that the "heroes" do in actual lore and try to tell me that it makes sense because it really doesn't.
You're right that the Ebonblade delt the killing blow to the Scarlet Crusade. That was some two or three years (the length of The Burning Crusade expansion) later. This video relies heavily on Dreadlord Balnazzar being around to command and influence the Scarlet Crusade. He was thwarted (killed? who knows with a dreadlord) in Vanilla WoW by Alliance or Horde forces working with the Argent Dawn. So the Scarlet Crusade was still around. But a weak and sick ruminant by comparison to the power they gain in this alternate video. The Deathknights sacking Tyr's hand and the Scarlet Enclave is such a big deal because it's the Crusades last real holdout. Their leadership had been totally uprooted or killed years before. Additionally, the formation of the Argent Crusade by Fordring left the major factions an alternative to the Scarlets. So nobody felt all that bad about abandoning them to the Scourge entirely.
Love the story it all sounds like exactly what would happen. I however think that kel'thuzad would not fall so easily. I think that kel'thuzad getting whispers from the lich king would know of the battle and the inevitable invasion of naxxramus, and would either pull himself back to northrend and leave his commanders there to keep the crusade busy or he would call apon the lich king just as he did in WoLK and would make a counter attack with the might of the northrend scourge armies.
He DID. The trap that he and Balnazzar set after the latters first disastrous attempt at destroying Naxxramas wiped out most of Naxx's forces they sent to kill Mograine and it actually left for a while with only Rivendare's undead in Stratholme barely holding the line, until he came back with Sapphirion and replenished forces, and no nasty Ashbringer wielding super-paladin to stand in their way and managed to retake all the territory they'd lost leading, eventually, to the First battle of lights hope (the "fall" of vanilla Naxx). That is pretty messy lorewise to say the least since apparently KT gets taken out by adventurers at some point during the battle and his phylactery given to Father Ingio who betrays the Argent Dawn and turns it over the Cult of the Damned in exchange for becoming a Lich (as seen in WotLK). And then somehow or another, ends up collecting Darion's body after his sacrifice. Though whether it was before he got defeated or after, is hard to say. Though it seems like he got defeated before and was on his way back to Naxx after regenerating when he found Darion's body, since it implies they headed back to Northrend right after that.
I don't know about Kel'thuzad losing like that. He was one of most powerful beings on Azeroth, and even the 25 Adventurers didn't manage to break his Phylactery. But, for the sake of the narrative, I suppose it's plausible.
His philactery was given to an agent of the scourge, and althought adventurers are very strong we are barely capable of soloing an elite raid mob. Now get 500 elite npcs and attack naxxramas with it, KT forces would be massacred.
It kind of makes sense why so many of warcraft players are homosexuals. This lore doesn't appeal to me and it's not even the way it's presented. Noxxic or whatever this guys name is does a perfectly fine job of describing the lore. What I don't find interesting is it's just X kills Y, it's what I would imagine Game of thrones is like if I ever watched that or knew what it was. What I'm interested in is the technology and the techniques of real snipers, weapons, tactics, battlefield tactics, strategy, etc. Lore is nothing more than mindless B.S. some guy is a powerful wizard, gets captured, tortured, his son kills him, who cares? It's so much useless information. Not to mention not only is it useless info, but it's fictional useless info. Warcraft lore may as well be written by Ron Hubbard himself. Who cares?
I agree with most but Briggite Abendis wasnt fanatical but very logical and she still heard the true Light. She even knew that Nathrezim corrupted crusaders were not to be trusted (its shown in her relationship with Mal Ganis in disguise) of course she did not know that they were demons but this should definetly be somehow mentioned because it would affect the story. Otherwise, amazing work :)
You should continue this, and see what would happen if the crusade went to Kalimdor. How dare those Kaldorei denounce their Light and instead raise their Goddess high? Kalimdor's forces, against zealous Paladins. Elune's might vs the Light's.
I actually kinda was hoping for one of the alterations to be that Renault took the Ashbringer with him and because of it's immense power of the light it would reveal the Nathraziem's true identity to him, in which he would cut Balnazzar down and take over the Scarlet Crusade. Then the Scarlet Crusade would join with the Alliance and the remnants of the Silver Hand and the Argent Dawn to create the ULTIMATE HUMAN FIGHTING FORCE EVER TO BE CREATED! We'll call it... The Scarlet Dawn!
The ashbringer is only powerful when it is wielded by a being with strong holy power. Renault's holy power is weak, he betrayed the light when he killed his father.
Ey Nixx, I have to tell you that the series is really good, and keep going with the good content! If you'd like some inspiration, I suggest you play the warcraft3 map ''Lordaeron the Foremath'' (On gameranger) The map is about all the factions in the Eastern kingdom battling eachother for controll. Northrend, outland and Mardum are also included, and the timeline where it is set into begins before the plague of lordaeron was launched Each of the player controlls one faction I.e Dwarves, and acts in a different way from the warcraft and wow course of actions. I.e -- If Magni dies through any means, Thaurissian can be persuaded to join the alliance of 3 hammers. If you wish to further this plot though... he could also launch an attack and capture ironforge for himself, and become the new king, and claiming blackrock mountain as a fortress. Or... You can play as the Burning legion, and keep the alliance with the lich king. And so on! If you ever run out of ideas, that would prove a good source of inspiration, as no game is the same, and therefore, there're many ways things could happen :P P.S Search on google the name of the map, if it interests you, and you wanna go on :)
Thing is, Sylvanas would never allow herself to be killed so easily in her own city. She would most likely be saved by some of her many champions and dark rangers. Nathanos Blightcaller, for instance, could have taken on many adversaries in order for his queen to abscond from the Undercity through the sewers. She'd most likely find a way to Quel'Thalas and warn the Blood elves of the Crimson Legion. In this case the Blood elves with Sylvanas could end up being the heroes of this whole scenario.
rdogg114 I guess the blood elves wouldn't welcome Sylvanas with open arms, but since she was a former ranger-general she probably still holds some authority in the eyes of people like Lor'themar. Thus, with her knowledge of the looming threat of the Legion and the potential attack upon Silvermoon, the blood elves and the Forsaken of Tranquilen (if they even exist in this timeline) could mount a surprise counterattack on the dreadlords' opperations. And we should also not rule out that the Alliance would not take kindly to all the events that Nixxiom described.
Terry, are you really saying that the RANGER GENERAL of the high elves, with centuries of experience got no leadership abilities? That the woman who after breaking free from the lich kings will managed to carve out a nation of her own fighting against both the scourge and the dreadlords superior numbers, would run away?
I would guess something like a mix of legion and wod. Guldan gains contact with kiljaedan and opens the tomb of sargeras while the iron horde reacks havoc on eastern kingdom. Legion invades Kalimdor and they get cut off and eventually perish and eastern kingdoms get sandwiched between the iron horde and the legion.
Let’s assume that Forsaken don’t have scouts, bat riders patrolling their territory. Let’s say that they are blind to an army of heavily armed people until they knock the doors of Lorderon, I believe Forsaken would still anticipate Crusade’s next move when EPL is cleansed from scourge, even an idiot can see Crusade will march to the Lorderon. Sylvanas wouldn’t get caught off guard, Horde would not let their most strategic settlement in Eastern Kingdoms fall into enemy control. They would receive the Crusade attack with an earlier version of “Battle for Lorderon”. With the full force of the Horde, minus all the azerite stuff.. and pandas.. and goblins..DKs..DHs..Monks. Being far away from allies in Kalimdor would not be an excuse to lose the city. I hate what have Bliz done to Banshee Queen, but fact is a fact. She is not that naive.
While Sylvanas likely wasn't caught off guard by the Crusade, she would've been from the betrayal of a Dreadlord she thought was loyal. The Horde would have to send reinforcements from a world away. Though they have Magi, they didn't have the Blood Elves until the time of the Burning Crusade, so they likely wouldn't be able to send that much in the way of reinforcements in time to save the city. Not to mention, Sylvanas wasn't exactly liked even in Classic. She just wanted to be in the Horde to have allies watching her back. The Alliance would've likely backed up the Crusade, if not directly, then by giving them better equipment and the like. Also, the Crusade DID have Monks and this time, while Sylvanas didn't have any Blight.
One thing to note, Abbendis wasn't super fanatical. She was much more level-headed, and was a little suspicious of Dathrohan. She's the one who sent Scarlets to Light's Hope Chapel to convene and discuss joint efforts against the Scourge, while Balnazzar disguised as Dathrohan was just egging everyone on to make them crazy and violent and whatnot. At least I think that's how it went. Edit: Nevermind, I'm dumb. She was fanatical, but she did send the Scarlets to meet with the Argent Dawn, and the leader of those she sent seemed to know that Dathrohan was actually a demon lord in disguise, and the meeting wasn't sanctioned by him, so we know Abbendis was at least a tiny bit more open-minded than Renault or Isilien.
Really cool story, enjoyed it immensely and can't wait for the next part. :) Sounds pretty accurate, though I'd argue that Sylvanas is cunning enough to have probably been able to escape like she did during the Wrathgate event. Orgrimmar would probably have some Forsaken refugees after the purge of the Undercity.
Eastern Kingdom's Northern territories were tainted. They were assaulted and disrespected. All of the human kingdoms have fallen. All that remains are outposts scattered. Disgusting!!
- The Old Gods would likely try to change time ASAP, but would likely fail in their attempts. Who knows? - Illidan is probably still be in Outland, too busy not giving a shit about Azeroth. - The Alliance would likely enter a massive race war between the Humans, High Elves, and Dwarves against everyone else. The Alliance would basically crumble in on itself, and the Scarlet Crusade would become the dominant force for the Pro Human side. - The Horde basically withers away or is destroyed by a VERY angry Pro Human Alliance on their way to burn down the Night Elves' home. Jaina is likely convinced this is right or dies in her beliefs. - Kul Tiras would likely be convinced to rejoin the Alliance due to Barean Westwind being not only a high ranking figure in the Crusade (Which would likely be the main faction by this point.), but also a Kul Tiran. The Kul Tirans eventually put Westwind in charge for their efforts. - Eventually, I'd wager the Cataclysm happens and the Crusade, being the dominant force in the world, stomps out Deathwing easily. They'd probably have something to beat Deathwing with, or enslave bronze dragons to find the Demon Soul and use it. - Sargares comes along and the Crusade is either entirely destroyed or transformed into mutants. That, or believe they are serving the Light and become a sort of Elite Guard for the dreadlords that're all ported away before Sargares cuts the world in two.
The only issue here is that we know the Scarlet Crusade didn't have a massive number of soldiers, I doubt very seriously they would be able to manage all these conquests against so many incredibly strong armies including Kel'thuzad and Sylvanas, not to mention the likely hood of the Horde not realizing a beheading maneuver when the Alliance cuts them off in Hillsbrad while reports of a purge upon the plaguelands is next to none. The story is still cool and well written, out of context it sounds amazing but when you know the context surrounding it there is just not enough explanation to support the story, especially the number of the Scarlet Crusade's forces, apparently all of this happened simply from Tirion dying and I'm just not sure that is even close to enough change to result in even a quarter of said events. I think at most we would've seen the Crusade capable of going head to head with Kel'thuzad's armies. Should have done something like making Tirion into another body for them to inhabit and use to manipulate the Alliance and Argent Dawn into truly supporting them, then they definitely could've taken either the Plaguelands or the Undercity but still not both since the Forsaken are far from weak and neither are Kel'thuzad's forces.
Hey Nixxiom, I just wanted to point this out in your theory but, when you were talking about the Undead after Kel'thuzad died and how they would be slowly wiped out, If they were too far away from the Lich King to be effected by his dominion and now were unlead, they would be even more dangerous than they were before, the mindless undead were said to be even more destructive than the ones under control, "Without a Leader the mindless undead will become an even greater threat to Azeroth, there must always be a Lich King" this means that the Undead would likely be even more difficult for the Scarlet crusade to wipe out
Nixxiom should write quests for wow, the dude has serious love for the lore of Azeroth It’d be dope if you could go in the caverns of time and visit different timelines like this and see how the whole of the eastern kingdom would’ve turned out in game
"Written by Moocluck."
So, now I know why demons win in this scenario.
I'd love if you'd draw on the maps as you're explaining what's happening, arrows, icons, etc.
yes please!
Here, here!
Let Nixxiom read this. Very useful
That's actually a really good idea for any sort of war-related "What If?" videos. Thanks for the feedback - I'll be sure to do that in the future. :)
***** hey good idea.
15:41 Bel'thuzad, the lesser known cousin of Kel'thuzad.
Haha! Woopsssss.
The ultimate Dread Lich Lord Bel'thuzad. Legends say Kel'thuzad and Belmazar in times of dire need perform a ritual of ancient rites. one which combines the powers of two into one. A ritual that which can not be undone.
A ritual called LOVE.

But, I stole this sweet roll for you.
Hey i just want to say i love your "What if" videos it always makes me think about other things in the world. Keep up the good work man!
True.
Why is this so much better then what actually happend?
Because this is what really happened
reverse storytelling is always better when presented in foreshadowing

What's funny is that the Scarlet Crusade honestly had a better chance of retaking Lorderon than the Argent Crusade ever did.
Pretty much, yeah. Then we the player characters had to get involved and ruin everything.
Scarlet crusade is the best wow faction ever
Nah Argent Dawn is cooler
@@HelmutLanggThat's like saying sausage rolls are better without the sausage, cold and 3-days old.

Great video Nixxiom, and really great story Moocluck!
what if cairne bloodhoof beat garrosh in their duel
What if not is :P
Then we wouldn't have suffered through WoD
Best What if scenario :D

everyone is saying "Great job Nixxiom".
but it's so repetitive so I will say
Good job Moocluck
Lol a Machinima video of Moocluck stealing Nixxiom's thunder would be great :P
I love Scarlet Order, it was so dissapointing for me to learn that they're doomed to fall because of the damn dread lords.
Good job moocluck , awsome voice over nixxiom!
I miss Lordaeron. :(
I mean "The Human Kingdom of Lordaeron."
+Footman Of Lordaeron its in warcraft 2
Oh well, cant win them all.
Don't worry a rod of necromancy will have you ready to rejoin the lands of Lordaeron.
rdogg114 But i am still alive!
What if the blood elfs rejoined the alliance
When?
What if the Forsaken* joined the alliance
that could never happen
It does, forsaken are mostly humans.
TheRobochicken5494
Yeah they were humans and elves who wanted to take revenge on the Lich King so they joined the Horde to have allies but they could also have joined the alliance
@15:41 Bel' thuzad XD
came here for this
Clearly that is the reason why the scourge lost naxx its because they had Kel'thuzad's reject brother lead it.
Without the horde favoritism and story telling limitations of an MMORPG, this would have been the most likely scenario for Sylvanas.
Nixxiom, thank you so much for recapping Warcraft lore here. Especially on topic of the Scarlet Crusade which most of us Vanilla WoW players (a WoW players in general) would remember running through Scarlet Monastery -- and fighting good 'ol Herod back in the day. Loved the video, looking forward to part 2! Thanks Nixxiom and Moocluck.
Nixxiom great narration and moocluck great writing you two are funny and awesome.
5 minutes in and I'm hooked. Need to come back to this one so far. Great video.
Very fun stuff. I think the only thing I'd have added would have been a mention of Alexandros Mograine in Naxxramas- would have been interesting to have had a confrontation between he and Renault there.
Well written by Moocluck and an excellent performance by Nixxiom. I love this type of video, keep up the great work guys ^^
The best serious series you've made so far imo! I freaking love this :D keep up the great work!
Bravo Moocluck!
and Bravo Nixxiom!
Well done. Looking forward to part 2.
While the Scarlet Crusaders are zealots, the possibility of one of the leaders of the crusade being a secret Scourge agent would have to be followed up and investigated... and if Commander Mograine was to confess under questioning that he was given his position for betraying and murdering his father with the aid of the Scourge at the orders of the Grand Crusader, shit would hit the fan.
as former SC rper i really liked the vid
Same
are you dumb? SC = Scarlette Crusader
SC = Scarlet Crusade in WoW, but yes, it does mean Starcraft too, a good point
Holy shit this was so well written and thought out. Like Jesus Christ it's Jason Bourne if only this was how it went in WoW.
You're right that the Ebonblade delt the killing blow to the Scarlet
Crusade. That was some two or three years (the length of The Burning
Crusade expansion) later. This video relies heavily on Dreadlord
Balnazzar being around to command and influence the Scarlet Crusade. He
was thwarted (killed? who knows with a dreadlord) in Vanilla WoW by
Alliance or Horde forces working with the Argent Dawn. So the Scarlet
Crusade was still around. But a weak and sick ruminant by comparison to
the power they gain in this alternate video.
So nobody felt all that bad about abandoning them to the Scourge entirely.
lordundeadrat That lore has been retconned out. It wasn't really lore anyways.
Love the story it all sounds like exactly what would happen. I however think that kel'thuzad would not fall so easily. I think that kel'thuzad getting whispers from the lich king would know of the battle and the inevitable invasion of naxxramus, and would either pull himself back to northrend and leave his commanders there to keep the crusade busy or he would call apon the lich king just as he did in WoLK and would make a counter attack with the might of the northrend scourge armies.
at this time though, I do not think the Lich King has awoken yet.
Now get 500 elite npcs and attack naxxramas with it, KT forces would be massacred.
but a demon in disguise who shattered it. a mortal would be tempted and not able to touch or break it
I honestly don't think Kel'thuzad would mind losing one of his phylacteries. He would be just really really angry.
A Lich only has one Phylactery. Without it, they can not regain their material form.
I think Kel'Thuzad would mind it a great deal :P
This is not Harry Potter, darling.
Have my babies, Nixxiom.
That profile pic fits your comment very well in the most disturbing way possible
Who cares?
Love these videos, it's always cool to hear alternate versions to things that happened in the game :)
OhOh OH! I got it!
What if Nixxiom released next episode of Warlock?
I really love the Scarlet Crusade so it's pretty sad that even in fanfics they're still led by Balnazaar.
"If you think this story has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention."
Jonathan Jones *Shrugs*
The ashbringer is only powerful when it is wielded by a being with strong holy power. Renault's holy power is weak, he betrayed the light when he killed his father.
You can be evil and weird the power of the light
the light is necromancy counterpart. not fel. don't know why people think it helps you against demons..
Been waitinf for someone to do this kind of What if. thanks mate
And so on! If you ever run out of ideas, that would prove a good source of inspiration, as no game is the same, and therefore, there're many ways things could happen :P
P.S Search on google the name of the map, if it interests you, and you wanna go on :)
Wow that was awesome! Bring on part 2! Also still waiting on Thassarian part 2 ;)
While I really enjoy your comical videos, these "What if..." ones are brilliant. Great work, and please keep it up.
This is cool as hell. I love the politics and realistic feel of it
A what if of my favourite zealot faction? You just got a new sub, you glorious heretic!
Since these are what if events from Vanilla i dont think the blood elves would help her and the crimson legion most likey wouldn't target them.
rdogg114 I guess the blood elves wouldn't welcome Sylvanas with open arms, but since she was a former ranger-general she probably still holds some authority in the eyes of people like Lor'themar.
Sylvanas would run away, she has no real leadership qualities whatsoever and would be userped in seconds.
Terry, are you really saying that the RANGER GENERAL of the high elves, with centuries of experience got no leadership abilities? That the woman who after breaking free from the lich kings will managed to carve out a nation of her own fighting against both the scourge and the dreadlords superior numbers, would run away?
SH4D0W0733 Yeah she is a bitch and a fucking coward
I have an idea! What if the iron horde did push successfully into azorath
I would guess something like a mix of legion and wod. Guldan gains contact with kiljaedan and opens the tomb of sargeras while the iron horde reacks havoc on eastern kingdom. Legion invades Kalimdor and they get cut off and eventually perish and eastern kingdoms get sandwiched between the iron horde and the legion.
no one cares about the iron horde
True
nice one, hopefuly he will make video about it
But they wouldn't need to leave to portal open 24/7 so eventually he'd break free or the shadow council would free him allowing access to Azeroth
Here 6 years late, but damn I wish as Alliance you could choose to join the Scarlet Crusade
I love this! I also think it'd be cool if you did a series like this with choices and alternate endings!
In some alternate reality, the Scarlet Crusade should be called the "Golden hand", seeing themselves above Silver?
wow...that is some shyt awesome can't wait for part 2
What if Orgrim Doomhammer ignored Gul'dan's defiance and proceeded to continue the attack on the Walls of Lordaeron in Warcraft 2?
Great video Nixxiom, this is a good series.
loved this cant wait for part 2. keep up the good work.
Best one you've done so far.
What if Darkhan Drathir had never betrayed his kind by revealing the secret of the key of the three moons to Arthas?
Sounds pretty accurate, though I'd argue that Sylvanas is cunning enough to have probably been able to escape like she did during the Wrathgate event. Orgrimmar would probably have some Forsaken refugees after the purge of the Undercity.
I guarantee Nixxiom will get scouted by Blizzard. They need more story developers anyway since Metzen left.
Great video. Look forward to more.
well done! these videos are so interesting
That was a fantastic alternate story! In WoW, all you have to do is put together the undead and an army of Paladins to make a great story.
Eastern Kingdom's Northern territories were tainted. They were assaulted and disrespected. All of the human kingdoms have fallen. All that remains are outposts scattered. Disgusting!!
Simply put awesome video
I look forward to part 2 of this "What if"
This is so well executed. CONTINUE IT NIXXIOM. What are the dreadlords doing after part 2?! What about the old gods? Illidan?
That, or believe they are serving the Light and become a sort of Elite Guard for the dreadlords that're all ported away before Sargares cuts the world in two.
awesome writing :D keep it up!
This is, frankly, terrifying.
Sounded a LOT like what happened to our government and its leaders (coughs) Tel Aviv (coughs) true masters...
wow very quality and good video, more please!!
Could you do What if Kil'Jaeden and Archimonde didn't join the Legion?
I dont think he'll do that... it would take like weeks to even write scripts, much changes lorewise
The Scarlet Crusade were dope.
nixxiom whens part 2 of this episode im so excited for it its killing me 😀
this is probably my favorite what if. good story guys
Love these. Thank you.
Hey Nixxiom, I just wanted to point this out in your theory but, when you were talking about the Undead after Kel'thuzad died and how they would be slowly wiped out, If they were too far away from the Lich King to be effected by his dominion and now were unlead, they would be even more dangerous than they were before, the mindless undead were said to be even more destructive than the ones under control, "Without a Leader the mindless undead will become an even greater threat to Azeroth, there must always be a Lich King" this means that the Undead would likely be even more difficult for the Scarlet crusade to wipe out
I love these kinds of videos, please do more...
So pumped for part 2.
pure loregasm. love it!
"Guys we finally purged the unclean from the Plaguelands. Hey , what are you doing Saidan Dathrohan? Wait a minute why is everything turning green?"
i love those videos. Keep them up mate
Dismissed for an inquisitor,
Your fanaticism has been noted.
Would love to hear you tell more what if stories.
FOR THE SCARLET CRUSADE!
Another "What If" hell yeah
Nixxiom should write quests for wow, the dude has serious love for the lore of Azeroth
It’d be dope if you could go in the caverns of time and visit different timelines like this and see how the whole of the eastern kingdom would’ve turned out in game
You're pretty creative, Nixxiom :3
