I just passed 6 months. Cialis gives me wicked heartburn, so I've been struggling with that. My erections are nothing like they were pre-cancer, obviously, but it does get bigger, almost as large as before, and it's nearly enough for penetration. Your comment regarding "takes up to two years for nerves to recover" was very helpful. I am having pain after orgasm in the form of a "sharp ache??" if that makes any sense. Wife and I are working on it a couple times a week, and while progress is very slow, there is progress. Hang in there guys..... pun intended.
BTW: Im 61, healthy non-smoker, with good BMI. I was 4+3 Gleason in February 2021, surgery April 19 2021. Urinary leakage is 99% gone. My surgery was Lap. RARP.

I am 14 months post-op. I have found your information very helpful as my urologist provided no rehabilitation suggestions. I have been using a vacuum pump for 2 months and a Manta vibrator for 6 weeks. I plan to begin promix injections twice a week. I'm 73, had a radical prostatectomy when I was 65. Tried the meds no benefit. Injections worked but the pain in the penis was so intense I couldn't even touch my penis let alone use it. After 2 years post op I asked my GP about a penile prosthesis. I was referred to a specialist and 2 months later I was operated on. I can only say wow! I have had it several years now. No issues only pleasure. My partner is more than happy. No pills no doubt only erections when I want them. I have to say all my medical procedures were performed by the national health in Australia and cost me nothing. The strange thing is the hospital that performed the prostatectomy would not perform the prosthesis operation as it was against their religion (catholic). Thank you Australia.
Im post surgery almost 6 months and nothing, even 100 mg of viagra does nothing. I am 55 and this is not a good situation. Drs say that natural erections etc are best but do I want to be years like this waiting to see if it happens? Also no one here even mentions recurrence which even if you make natural progress you may return to square 1 with more treatment. Either wy nothing will ever be as it was before, so erections on demand frankly doesnt sound like a bad thing..Your post was very helpful, thank you.

@@andrewcumming6319 thank you for your response. I hope this helps!
I'm 63 years old. Just marked 1 year after RARP. I take 25mg of tadalafil every day and an extra 75mg when having sex. I am successful in achieving orgasm with a partner during intercourse one in five times only. I masterbate everyother day on average. I wonder if the frequency of masterbation is causing the difficulty achieving orgasm during intercourse. Anything else should I be doing? I appreciate your advice.
After 4 years I am still struggling, it’s ruined my sexual life…😞
I really wish women would stop taking about things that are no concern of theres. This is something which doesn't concern them. And they never have to deal with this problem
Do the restriction rings prevent semen from discharging?
Hi Joe, great question, they can do depending on the tightness
@@ATouchySubject What semen? Your prostate is gone! Doesn't that eliminate the possibility of semen being produced?
@@freevet1 yes it does. No prostate, no seman.
"Tenting the sheet" 😂😂🤣.
