Thank you sooo much! for this interesting and quiet video without annoying background music. We should have large factories for mass production. We'll probably have this in the Millennium! You can listen to Dr Ron Rhodes on end times chronology.
Sir, Do you have any references of why you specifically used those quantities of the ingredients? I hoping for your reply as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your videos and responses!!
Sir, i tried making it with two samples. Sample 1 before gelation and sample 2 is gelaion. Sample 1 shows no bubbles and sample 2 shows many bubbles. Do u think i can proceed with my research paper with sample 1? Thankiee
I tried to dry it with sunlight and it became very hard and I couldn't peel it off to the tray where I spread the mixture. Should I just dry it with the room temperature and wait 10 days??? ps(the reason why I dried it with a sunlight is because the deadline of our project is on wednesday and I thought drying it with sunlight will speed up the process😢😢) pls help me
You mean it shows moisture on the surface in the morning? Depends if you live in a high humidity location, but it should still work, it'll just take more time to dry completely.
Whatever makes the water evaporate should work in principle. An oven with fan at the lowest temperature can make it dry faster; if you set the temperature too high, it'll develop a lot of bubbles. You can also let the top surface dry to the touch, flip it carefully and let the other side dry fully.
I don't know what effect the sorbitol will have, I recommend you replace the glycerin with honey (I made a video on that). About the 100ºC, it'll probably work, it might just introduce a lot of bubbles in the bioplastic.
I played around with the ratios ( ruclips.net/video/1hDXsOrf0AY/видео.html ) and didn't find a significant difference, but it's hard to say since I don't have a precise way to measure it yet.
@@giestas Sir, I have problem on mine. Ive been drying it after cooking in dehydrator for 24hrs at 50°C but its still not solidfying ;( Did i miss something? ;( Thanm u
So soothing. Feels like I'm watching ASMR.

Just googled recipes, trial and error, and ended up with this recipe :)
@@giestas okay, thank you!! keep doing what you do!

I actually don't know, I've never tried drying a sample that wasn't fully cooked.
Let us know if it works out!

Drying it in the sunlight is fine!
My mixture is in 6 days of drying, is it normal to moist in the morning? I am worried that i will fail in this project

Can it be dried under the sunlight?how can it be dried easily please?
What if it'll moist?
Need some help as a student

Can i use sorbitol instead of glycerin? And can i dry it using an oven for 100°c? I need to make one today

Will the ratio of starch affect the strength of bioplastic? I wonder if it will still work if I change the ratio of starch...
I played around with the ratios ( ruclips.net/video/1hDXsOrf0AY/видео.html ) and didn't find a significant difference, but it's hard to say since I don't have a precise way to measure it yet.
That's nice! Do you know how to make it harder, acrylic like? Many thanks!
If you follow the recipe without glycerin you get a rigid bioplastic :) but it deforms while drying :( haven't figured that out yet :|
@@giestas many thanks!
that's so cool. is this how they make plastic bags in Indonesia?
Corn starch bags are relatively easy to find. I've never seen cassava starch ones, but maybe they're out there.
do you know what other kind of mold material we could use besides silicone?
A plastic or metal flat tray should do, as long as the surface is smooth.
Please of what is the mould you used made of
It's a common silicone mould.
Sometimes you see them for sale as "mould for resin".
How did you store them well? Our samples got some spots of molds.
I put them in the dehydrator for 24 hours at low temperature and then store them in folders commonly used for paper documents. Luckily no mold yet.

Can i use corn starch instead of cassava starch?
You can, but the recipe is a bit different, here it is: ruclips.net/video/Uaz9Qvadyio/видео.html
How long did it take to fully dry?
About 10 days, but it depends on ambient humidity and temperature; during winter it can take a few more days.
is the product water soluble?

how to remove suspended bubbles ?
I've tried using a torch (a common technique with resin), but it doesn't really work.
