When I was in Sanur, Bali, circa 2009 stayed in an Bed and Breakfast (pretty sure this was pre-Air B&B). Paid like $8 for a really nice room. Huge, queen bed. Funny since the WiFi only worked on the right side, near the door. Breakfast was you could cook as many eggs and pieces of toast as you'd like. Still remember the most amazing fresh (and I do mean fresh) fish, full meal for like $5. Kuta was amazing too, but thems drinking Aussis were out of control.
That was a good deal! I just visited Bali in Jan, a humble lunch at an average restaurant can easily cost more than 100k rp. yeah…Kuta has a quite bad reputation now. Seems Canggu becomes the new Kuta
@@traveltaskforce I found that place using local taxi driver. Just grabbed a taxi and said to him "Take me to a Bed and Breakfast." And he did. Nothing online. Just a combination of sneaker and taxi-net. :)
