Australian here, so Bali is close. Ive been to Bali almost every year (except lockdowns) since 2012. I've also visited Lombok and Gilli Islands. Now I always go to Ubud with nothing but yoga....at The Yoga Barn they have so many classes I can make my own yoga retreat for about 1/4 of the price. Other than yoga I do nothing but massages, spa treatments, reading, podcasts, pool time and making the most of Ubuds amazing restaurants, cafes and bars. I also always go solo...Ubud is made for the solo traveller.

i highly recommend visiting Bali by March-April. It's the end of rainy season so it's actually sunny already. Very affordable accommodations, tours and traveling at this time is just the best --the places I visited were almost empty which made me enjoy them more. I lived in Bali for a year and i always tell my friends to visit at this time
